And so it goes on. With Granville bemoaning a “reasonable” 58-point Gameweek, I slip further into the mire as my team of differentials, mis-placed punts and failed opportunities continue on their relentless decline.

Slowly but surely the roles are being reversed in our weekly chat – as I recall my latest errant transfer and Granville struggles to curb his smugness: he even talks about himself in the third person.

As I desperately clutch at straws and roll out some positive thinking, my co-host halts his stream of advice to analyse the week’s rolling bandwagons and preview the weekend fixtures, whilst discussing the crunchy topics.

Join the counselling session via this link or stream the sorrow via the handy player below…

Mark Mark created the beast. He's now looking to tame it.

Not worth it. I'd do Ward to Dawson now if you can and see how things go with Eriksen. He may pull a Soldado.

Have the WC all locked and loaded, just want to see if there are any major objections:

Replacing: Barfa, Eriksen, Zab, Hangeland, Rooney, Chester

    Current Team:

    Boruc (Marshall)

    Johnson, Coleman, Chico (Murner, Faye)

    Ozil, Hazard, Michu, Ramsey (Morrison)

    Suarez, Giroud, Lukaku

    Pick one midfielder to bench

    Oscar
    Michu
    Ramsey
    Barkley
    Januzaj

Only Michu is reallt out if the question. Oscar has a tough fixture (MCI). Ramsey always produces points, but could be rested again. Barkley is going against a bit of a dodgy Villa defence, Januzaj looks set to start against Stoke...

I don't think getting Hazard helps you this week, not against Citeh...

Lallana is good, but the fixtures after Hull are terrible...

I think your best course of action is to save, with more information next week you'll be able to make better decisions and have more flexibility with 2FTs...

Your team is good for this week as it is, maybe a little weak in midfield, but all of those guys could easily score...

I think it's OK to go with Giroud this week, but I'd be very tempted to lose him for Benteke for GW10... he'll be a great differential against WHM, providing he doesn't go mental against Everton...

I imagine he'll be back at 20-25% ownership by the time he plays Cardiff GW11...

Is Rat nailed on now? There aren't many other options in defense, but I am considering rotating Ridgewell with M.Turner soon...maybe check out their rotation...

That midfield is what I'm looking to achieve in a few weeks, so I love it...

This is a good question. The pens/corners/free kicks are great till Koren comes back, will it continue on all 3 fronts? He has scored from open play, and according to my friend is ace on footy manager, yet Brady/Morrison/Barkley/Amalfitano/Whittingham all don't sit with me as a 4th mid. depends what your strike force is ultimately. If you want Aguero/Suarez then Giroud/Sturridge, then these players are what you have to chance. Townsend is a funny one.

I guess that was sort of what I did - I'd pick Brady as a 5th (budget allowing) and get a better option as 4th mid.

I saw that you activated your wildcard! (You're one of a handful of teams that I FPL-stalk). What prompted that? You had been championing the idea of holding onto the wildcard until the late-season dgws.
I like the look of the team. I've never been convinced with Brady, but I've been proven wrong for the most part.
That 1.1 could be useful on defence. A Swansea defender looks like a good idea for their run of fixtures. I kinda want to wait for Williams, but that's kind of like waiting for Godot. Neil Taylor might be an idea for the next 4 weeks until Davies is back.

a bit of a calculated knee jerked....having a horrible season.

Felt that i needed Suarez over Sturridge
        Needed Oscar and Ozil
I still feel that Lukaku is important
Want Tekkers for his run of good fixture (will get him)
Needed to fix my defenders with Zaba/Mert not producing.
Prices were rising and needed to shake things up!

        Agree on the williams wait.

There is always something to be said for just making the changes that you want and nit sticking with an obsolete plan. So well done activating the wc.
Myhill has done well for me, but I'm not sure I'd get him on a wc, as he'll be replaced in a month when Foster is back.

at least you have got rid of RVP. he will get good returns sure, but the compromise to the rest of you're team is too great either way. Man U are not playing well. Even with the decent performance against Sociedad, never before have they been this wasteful, they used to be clinical. RVP is just a victim of a team lacking in a certain degree of self belief; the ferguson aura however nonsensical psychologically is present for sure 😉

i don't trust siggy too much no mo. but tbh your team looks good. maybe next week would be a better time for changes. pool v arsenal i think. a game in which you'd be perhaps overexposed. then with chelsea havin a good matchup and following schedule sweet, benteke/man city fixtures turnin pretty nice, two freebies might be very valuable. also, like enr says, that bench. with an embarrassment of riches at ure fingertips, any transfer might prove more detrimental than profitable

I have a bias to my ML team, where I have put my money where my mouth is so to speak. That is where my reasoning for all transfers is done and I love all that.I am near the top of that league, with no WC played, so all planning working out ok. But, my other team has played its WC and is in the top 10k overall, based on nothing but a gut feeling a wild impulse for taking a chance and that feeling for having a back up team doing so well is something that is well worth having. 2nd team for all I say!

Yes. Either one, but Benteke will allow you to upgrade somewhere else as well.

surely now is not the time to sell rooney tho..
he's finding his feet in a big way and will be out to prove fergie wrong.. oh and RVP is a big doubt so he may play more up top

Why sell Rooney? Home against Stoke and on form

After this week. Agree Rooney looks good vs Stoke. United just don't score goals

because of Man U's collective form, nothing to do with Rooney, they simply aren't playing well and it's limiting returns for someone that costs nearly as much as Suarez

Can people explain why De Guzman is not a good fantasy prospect. If you can't afford Michu & with Hernandez still out wouldn't he be a logical choice or is Shelvey, Dyer, Routledge a better option. De Guzman seemed to be the best performing midfielder v Sunderland. Perhaps against harder teams he goes missing in action.

Zep was kind enough to find some news on Pablo. See above! De Guz is on penos which is his only upside over Pablo imo.

pros: on direct free kicks, decent strike on him, on pens if no bony

cons: plays double pivot deep, sits and lets the 4 attack in a 4-2-3-1.

It's possible Hernandez will end up being the best, though I would wait for returns first. He also doesn't seem that nailed, like Wayne R and Dyer.

If you want to cover the swans (which with Europa League excursions I have my doubts) then michu is your option for now.

i think that PK given to Bony last week was a "gimme" almost a sympathy peno.

Who is more likely to start this week? Ben Arfa or Sigurdsson?

Taking out one of these two.

Than run from 18-29 was just perfect... only 2 average (shit in comparison to the rest) weeks..

I wish I took a screen shot of my GW history two years ago when I finished 422nd... I remember being like 500k after 8-9 weeks...
