The FA have confirmed that Wayne Rooney will serve a two-match ban.

Rooney had previously admitted the charge for the use of offensive, insulting and / or abusive language at Upton Park last weekend, but the striker argued that the two game penalty was unfair.

The charge has immediate effect and Rooney will now miss Manchester United’s next two matches: Saturday’s Premier League clash against Fulham and their FA Cup semi-final against Manchester City. The forward is hot property at the moment in the Fantasy Premier League which he demonstrated by scoring a hat-trick in the aforementioned game with West Ham. He continued his sublime form last night by netting the only goal during the 1-0 Champions League victory over Chelsea.

United have released this statement:

“Manchester United is clearly very disappointed with the Regulatory Commission’s decision. The Club put forward a very strong case to have the punishment reduced, which was unsuccessful. Wayne Rooney apologised immediately after the match and the Club now wishes to move to on to what hopefully will be a very exciting conclusion to the season.”

Fantasy Managers will now have to consider the impact on United’s lineup against Fulham – presumably this will see a start for Dimitar Berbatov who was benched for last night’s Champions League victory, while Javier Hernandez would also seem set to retain his starting role if Alex Ferguson goes with a 4-4-2. Short-term interest in both could therefore increase as a result.

johnfinlay John swears he'll deliver unbiased Fantasy Premier League tips and news...until Leeds get promoted.

I have Baines and Coleman. Coleman will be shipped soon for Dawson.

This week, should I start Coleman or Hoillet?

Definitely, Coleman has a tough away fixture and isn't producing much points wise.

        What about Junior vs Ebanks-Blake?

I am sweating over which one, I don't trust that goon McCarthy, he seems itching to throw Fletcher in as well, and a goal down may be the excuse he needs. Blake is also on spot-kick duties.

So, just to join the bandwagon, wanted lamps on this week bit can't do it without an 8 pointer
Should I just eIt till next week and do nani to lamps for free?
Have a feeling without Rooney and after a nice rest yesterday that Nani could do well v fulham?

    My team this week is...
    Foster
    Huth/Luiz/Walker
    Nani/Nasri/Young/Adam/Vdv
    Rvp/Wellbeck

    Begovic/Ridgewell/Coleman/Rooney

Considering Kalou! Am I mad, but for who?

How come you not making the hit to do Rooney OUT Drogba IN this week where Rooney doesn't play and Drogba may have Wigan? I say may because he may not play but Carlo may let us know tomorrow, suppose that is why you are waiting then? I have answered my own question, bingo.

Agree with that it's just you are taking a risk with Kalou, the upside is clearly there. But he is such a rotation risk, you'd be lucky to get 100 minutes in a DGW. Besides, with Frank coming out the hole to make runs he's been stepping on toes...increasingly Torres and Kalou...Anelka, he's insane so no one will say anything to him when he switches from side to side.

Not to mention if Giggs is not in the match, who do you think will have spot-kick duties?

Fulham have been stingy defensively as of late, so you know that means they're due an uncharactaristic performance. I predict at least one PK in this match. With Vidic and Dempsey on the same field it's bound to get ugly.

Need to bring in two midfielders and Chelsea's tasty fixtures are torturing me! Already have Lampard, are there any other good options?

Have Nani, Lampard, O'Hara. Need to shift out Nolan (suspended) and want to get rid of Silva. Doing Nolan > Adam and toying with Silva > Malouda...

Ship Nolan only if you have an extra 0.2 you can make a swap for Ramires. Adam doesn't have good fixtures, can't see Arsenal bringing down anyone in the box from BLP. Hang on to Silva. You have a 0.8 delta between silva and Malouda, you'd be lucky these days to get 90+ from Florent in a DGW...same story with a Silva to Kalou...as far as minutes are concerned.

He's not out of favour, it's just that with valencia fergie has the option of playing different tactics now. Him starting depends on the opposition imo. Can't see him not playing v fulham and hopefully he won't start in the chelsea, city games so he'll be fresh for newcastle, everton.

I'm sure the Valencia owners weren't happy to see him essentially playing RB...

Think I am all but decided on my moves this week:

2 free transfers and a 4 point hit (because it leaves me with 0.0 in the bank so can't afford a price rise/drop on any of the players concerned)

    Tevez OUT RVP IN
    Nasri OUT Walcott IN
Young OUT Lampard IN (4 points)

    leaves me with:

    Foster
    Kolarov/Walker/Huth/Coleman
    Nani/VDV/Walcott/Lampard(C)/Adam
    RVP

    Begovic/Carr/Zigic/Rooney

Nasri has been dump in fantasy terms, Walcott IN frees up some cash and I want him in anyway, thoughts?

You know that the penalty argument is one of the weakest ones out there RBJ, firstly because Young is not the most accomplished penalty taker, and having missed a few this season Darren Bent has a slight chance of taking them (albeit that I know Young said he wanted to stay on them recently) and secondly, how many pens are going to be awarded to a team in a year, Fat Frank had a bunch last year, but they have generally (or at least seem to me) to be much harder to come by this season, people were getting Arteta in because of his penalty "pull", and they never got one until he was injured and Baines took it.

VDV and Young is a close one to call, and I have to say I am see-sawing back and forth between the two

sorry i didnt go into my whole reasoning for keeping him, but i thought i implied enough by saying he was at home agin a depleted newcastle.

he's been playing well for england, hit the crossbar twice in the last few games...i can feel the villa worm turning. No way id lose him this week, and he has the added bonus of maybe the opportunity to beat the keeper one on one from the penalty spot.

    Genuine dillemma:

    Foster - Begovic
    Luiz - Kolarov - Huth - Coleman - Walker
    Nani - Nasri - Young - Adam - Barton
    Torres - RVP - Berbatov

Now, I'd like to Lampard in so I have two choices, either:

    A. Kolarov + Nani > Carr + Lampard
    or
    B. Kolarov + Barton + Berbatov > Carr + Lampard + Ameobi

So A or B? And, also, do it this week or next week?

I think Nasri has been Wenger's main playmaker with Cesc in and out of form and the team with injury, I don't see why he would be rested with nothing else to play in, would make me happy as someone considering Nasri OUT Walcott IN though

me too RBJ, trying to convince myself nasri to walcott is worth a hit. Probably not but I can see him tearing blackpool a new one while nasri plays well but brings the stock standard 2 or 3 pts.

Really struggling with my forward 8. It comes down to:
    1.Adam Nani Young/VDV Lampard (N’Zogbia)
    Gyan Persie Berbatov
    (2 free transfers)

    2.Adam Nani Young/VDV Lampard Walcott
    (Hoilett) Persie Berbatov
    (4 point hit)

    3.Adam Nani Young VDV (N’Zogbia)
    11m Striker / Persie Berbatov
    (1 free transfer)

I'm thinking about 2 at the moment; it looks so good. Are there any good reasons for 1 or 3?

well he knows his stuff as he son a few quid on the sun dreamteam last year

but some of his transfers baffle me then pay off

he brought in huth the weekend stoke had blackburn away, to me that made no sense then huth pops up with a goal, cleanie and total of 15 points

his captain choices have been pretty spot on tho until recently

the way i see it the game is easy when u stick to home players against inferior opposition, but that can only take u so far,

its risks like that that bring u top 50, il never take them tho

in the longterm you should stick with your bet - the more bets you have in the same market, the more the bookies are laughing.

And in the longterm, the more the bookies laugh, the more you cry

I've come up with 2 plans. I know they never work out but i'm determined to try and stick to it as much as possible. Plan 1 is my ideal scanrio but i'm not confident on Nanis game time.
Plan 2 I love the front 3 but i take alot of hits for it to happen.
    What do you think?
