Roberto Mancini has confirmed that Carlos Tevez has sustained a torn hamstring in tonight’s Premier League clash with Liverpool, a setback that seems almost certain to rule him out for Saturday’s FA Cup semi-final. City’s talismanic striker was forced from the field after just 15 minutes of the Anfield clash which City lost 3-0.

The full extent of the injury are not yet known but the Mancini did confirm a tear, stating that Tevez would seem unlikely to make Saturday’s Cup date with United…

“I think that it is very difficult for Saturday”

When asked whether the injury was likely to rule Tevez out for the rest of the season, Mancini appeared to be more optimistic…

“No, no, no. I don’t think so.”

Tevez would seem likely to undergo a scan on the injury in the next 24-hours and we can expect a prognosis soonafter.

With City facing a gameweek 33 blank, followed by a tough trip to Ewood Park, Fantasy Managers seem set to sell on the Argentine in their droves – over 200,000 Fantasy Premier League managers have transferred Tevez out of their squads since gameweek 31.

        To be fair any manager is going to make selection decisions we disagree with. But the main problem was simple... Germany were better than us, and the players stopped listening to capello because john terry thought he knew better.
        
        Apart from that our record under capello is great.
        
        His English isn't even as bad as the media imply

        I don't even blame everyone for believing it... our views on every footballer and manager are so influenced by the media its hard to disagree. Where do you see most of the players play? Match of the day. Edited. where do you read about them. Newspapers. Who tells you most of the things you listen to on the radio? Ex pro British footballers.
        
        It's not hard to be convinced capello went from genius to idiot overnight and its not hard to believe the English squad is good or that player x is better than player y. By contrast the German media don't mention their team til they get to the world cup.

        Come on its always a matter of winning. Ive yet to see a tournament ye havent been self declared favorites (Bar Euro 2008 for obvious reasons) and even then many were saying oh look what russia did and we are much better than them!
