Roberto Mancini has confirmed that Carlos Tevez has sustained a torn hamstring in tonight’s Premier League clash with Liverpool, a setback that seems almost certain to rule him out for Saturday’s FA Cup semi-final. City’s talismanic striker was forced from the field after just 15 minutes of the Anfield clash which City lost 3-0.

The full extent of the injury are not yet known but the Mancini did confirm a tear, stating that Tevez would seem unlikely to make Saturday’s Cup date with United…

“I think that it is very difficult for Saturday”

When asked whether the injury was likely to rule Tevez out for the rest of the season, Mancini appeared to be more optimistic…

“No, no, no. I don’t think so.”

Tevez would seem likely to undergo a scan on the injury in the next 24-hours and we can expect a prognosis soonafter.

With City facing a gameweek 33 blank, followed by a tough trip to Ewood Park, Fantasy Managers seem set to sell on the Argentine in their droves – over 200,000 Fantasy Premier League managers have transferred Tevez out of their squads since gameweek 31.

oh fiddlesticks.

Just got in, tonight has apparently been a bit shitty on the fantasy stakes. Was sooooo close to keeping Carroll for my WC but didn't, went for Welbeck instead so i could afford Adam.... cool.

2 transfers - gotta make em early, i.e. before wednesday night. Tevez out now seems a given, so i'm tempted to upgrade Coleman to ACole, which leaves me 9.4 for a striker - good shout? Any suggestions?

        Yup, would have been quite content with no changes tbh - i would have upgraded Cole given the choise but that would have meant downgrading elsewhere - this seems like a decent excuse....
        
        How were Liverpool? Decent enough to invest in despite not great fixtures? (tbh, they're actually not bad)

        Wasn't here for the first 70 mins, and when I got back I spent most of the time trying to wind people up, not actually watching the game.
        
        I'd get Suarez, bench him this week and let him tear it up over the next few weeks with the easier fixtures.

Finally... the rival from Hell's luck failed. His captain was ESSIEN... and I thought he had nani as vice on value. But alas, it was BENT on form!!

This guy is a maths teacher, is love to know where he gets these ideas from because I don't think it involves many equations.

I think he perfectly demonstrates chaser's syndrome... picking differentials despite their obvious stupidity
