Roberto Mancini has confirmed that Carlos Tevez has sustained a torn hamstring in tonight’s Premier League clash with Liverpool, a setback that seems almost certain to rule him out for Saturday’s FA Cup semi-final. City’s talismanic striker was forced from the field after just 15 minutes of the Anfield clash which City lost 3-0.

The full extent of the injury are not yet known but the Mancini did confirm a tear, stating that Tevez would seem unlikely to make Saturday’s Cup date with United…

“I think that it is very difficult for Saturday”

When asked whether the injury was likely to rule Tevez out for the rest of the season, Mancini appeared to be more optimistic…

“No, no, no. I don’t think so.”

Tevez would seem likely to undergo a scan on the injury in the next 24-hours and we can expect a prognosis soonafter.

With City facing a gameweek 33 blank, followed by a tough trip to Ewood Park, Fantasy Managers seem set to sell on the Argentine in their droves – over 200,000 Fantasy Premier League managers have transferred Tevez out of their squads since gameweek 31.

Guys, here is a situation for you to resolve:

Is it possible to search for a particular person's team on FPL. I need to know this because, for some reason, one of my private leagues has disappeared from my Leagues menu. Either the league has been deleted, or I have been kicked out of the league without notice. Now I need to find that league again but I dont know how to do it since I dont have the league code anymore. Help???!

        That's so incredibly nice on him to say that. I've not really seen him do much good either. I think it's a problem that he can never beat his man to get his crosses in often enough, and people can fairly easily get their crosses in against him as he does not show the positional sense needed to make up for his lack of pace.

        i think his defending is under-rated and his attacking is over-rated. his shot is insane but that's not much good if you can't get yourself into good shooting positions a la someone like marcelo

What are people's thoughts on R Johnson for this week. Injury and off at half time on Saturday so will he be okay for the weekend and then the Chelsea game. Want to bring someone in and not sure that it is even worth transferring in Carr. Could see a clean sheet in the first game but not the second. Would involve transferring out Coleman who could well play and get a clean sheet too - then again is he injured also.

        I wouldn't be happy with that no. 442 negates the need for an attacking midfielder in his mould and Hernandez and Rooney will be no.1 pairing next season with Wayne dropping back again to dictate play. Behind them we need a Hargreaves replacement (M'Vila) imo. I was up for Rodwell but he's too injury prone. You may have heard me bang on about Mario Gotze, he can play on either wing or as an attacking mid so he'd be another ideal signing imo as back up for 3 different players.

        Correct, but the other 1 of the two would be Fletcher or Anderson who are more box to box style. Carrick and M'Vila would battle it out for the proper DM spot.
