It has been revealed that Manchester City will be without influential captain Carlos Tevez for the next three to four weeks.

Having injured his hamstring in Monday evening’s defeat at the hands of Liverpool, the Argentine forward and looks set to miss the side’s next couple of fixtures – including this weekend’s FA Cup Semi Final showdown with Manchester United and, more crucially for Fantasy Managers, potentially a handful of Premier League fixtures from gameweek 34 onwards that reads (bla, WHM, eve &TOT, STK, bol).

Manager Roberto Mancini confirmed the injury:

“Tevez is not available for Saturday. I think he will recover in three or four weeks. It is a big problem but we can’t take any risks.”

Coming at time where both Chelsea and Arsenal have a double gameweek, this will surely see the City striker’s Fantasy Owners look for alternatives and propel the likes of Didier Drogba, Robin Van Persie and maybe even Fernando Torres onto many a radar ahead of this weekend. Despite being the top-owned forward in the game, Tevez has been sold by over 200,000 Fantasy Managers in the last three gameweeks, with his price dropping 0.3 in the process. With so much doubt over his availability, expect that price to continue to plummet.

City fans will now be pinning their hopes on Edin Dzeko and Mario Balotelli in the crucial Manchester derby this Saturday and beyond, as the Eastlands battle Spurs for that all-important fourth spot in the Premier League. Coming in at 8.6 and 7.9 in Fantasy Premier League respectively, this could now be the pair’s chance to shine in what has proved to be a difficult first season in England for both. With City facing a double gameweek 36 on the back of a home game with West Ham, expect investment in the pair to increase over the next couple of weeks.

More to follow…

Not feeling the N'Zog love, I had him for a time this season and I was just never confident of points and had to wait until BP's came out every weekend to see if he got anything, which to be fair, he got quite alot, but just doesn't inspire me that transfer, that being said, I was considering Wilshere IN, so I can't really talk.

O'Hara IN could work, I don't like City's front line without Tevez, would prefer Balotelli (who I wouldn't touch anyway), Silva or Johnson for me for City coverage, so sorry Tose, not a big fan of those moves at all!

Nani will play agasint City, I have no doubt in my mind about it, we need him in the "Rooney role", buzzing around the top, from left to right, passing and shooting (which Rooney doesn't really do to be fair!)

Coleman (imaging there aren't definitive news will he play = he is doubt):

A: Keep and put Simspon/ Walker first on the bench (meaning having 2 freebies for double GW 34)

B: Sell for???? I have absolutely no idea.

Facing the same dilemma, I could get in RJ though, but you already have him. Don't think there are many options out there this week tbh. Next week you could look at players like Hangeland etc.

Thinking about doubling on Chelski defenders have Luiz. What do people think about relative merits of Terry vs Inanovic Is the latter safer because he can play fullback and possibly greater goal threat or is Terry safer from rotation as captain?

Young and Bent is overkill on a stuttering Villa attack, I would have Carroll instead of Bent, keep Young.

Hell, not this again. I've seen it all before.

Many a FPL favourite has got injured, causing me to sell them making a loss in price, then the player returns from injury far earlier than expected and clocks up some huge returns which I miss out on.

Tevez is staying in my team. If past patterns continue he'll be back for GWs 35-7 which is when I need him, happy to leave him on bench till then

Carrol or Bent from here to the end of the season.

P.S:If I get bent cant get lampard and would have to double on chelsea defence.

If I get caroll Ill get Lampard.

    So essentially

    Bent+Terry/Cole [already have Luiz]
