A number of midfielders are placed under the spotlight, with Arsenal, City, Chelsea and Liverpool all serving up some strong statistics. The performance of United’s frontmen at Villa and Tottenham’s inability to find the net under the now-departed Andre Boas-Villa also come under analysis as we delve into the data.
What are peoples opinions on coverage? By doing Aguero > Lukaku I have no City players. Should I be too concerned about trying to bring Silva/Toure in just so I can have Man City attacking coverage?
Open ControlsAguero ---> Negredo or Lukaku?
Will do Sess--->Silva perhaps for -4 if he doesnt get a YC in CCone cup. Considering Mirallas too with Delofeu out
No Everton attackers or City attackers as it stands (unless Coleman on his form counts...). Currently 640K OR and 93pts behind mini league leader so tempted to have a go with Negredo for a few GWsOpen ControlsDefinitely Negredo

I think Distin deserves some credit. 36 years old and still playing at the top of his game. Everton are solid.
Open Controlsagree
Open ControlsStill has a turn of pace too. Great player.
Open ControlsIt's interesting that people, particularly the Pool fans, are raving like mad about Liverpool as if they are having some monumental season and yet Everton are only 2 points behind them, having already been to Man City, Man Utd, and Arsenal.
Open ControlsHaven't heard that, I have heard lots of people raving about Suarez's form in the last few weeks, from supporters of various teams.
After somewhat surprisingly knocking the stuffing out of Spurs without Stevie, Sturridge and Enrique .... maybe its warranted we are 2nd afterall,Open ControlsTrue but as I said, Everton are one game behind, having lost a long term manager and after selling a £25 million player, they deserve just as much credit.

Interesting... I've just done the boring Aguero > Negredo, but realising I could have afforded Aguero > Lukaku, Ozil > Walcott and Ravel > Silva (albeit for -8).
Hope im better off.Open ControlsOoooh, you probably don't want to hear this but am liking the -8!!
Open Controls
Not heard much talk about Navas ... he was the one who replaced Aguero and has performed well when given a chance.
Open ControlsApologies, I posted on the last article a few minutes ago --
Worth a four point hit for:
Ageuro > Lukaku
Coutinho > Yaya
Ramsey > Walcott

I was scrolling through most popular comments for the last post and saw this Isacki's post about casual teams:

Well, unfortunately I can't check all the FPL teams, but I can count these players in the samples that I made on Saturday.
1. In the sample of 20,000 randomly selected FPL teams, the number of teams with those players:
11 players 0 , or 0%
10 players 3 , or 0%
9 players 66 , or 0%
8 players 432 , or 2%
7 players 1487 , or 7%
6 players 2933 , or 15%
5 players 3582 , or 18%
4 players 3183 , or 16%
3 players 2626 , or 13%
2 players 2349 , or 12%
1 players 2135 , or 11%
0 players 1204 , or 6%
2. In the sample of the top 10,000 FPL teams as of the start of GW 16, the number of teams with those exact players:
11 players 0 , or 0%
10 players 20 , or 0%
9 players 316 , or 3%
8 players 1203 , or 12%
7 players 2520 , or 25%
6 players 3028 , or 30%
5 players 1987 , or 20%
4 players 757 , or 8%
3 players 157 , or 2%
2 players 12 , or 0%
1 players 0 , or 0%
0 players 0 , or 0%
Speaking of identical teams, in the top 10K there were 144 non-unique teams in GW 16 (ignoring benched players). One of them was our good friend *Evs* who apparently has got a stalker 😆 (link: http://fantasy.premierleague.com/entry/3875/event-history/16/ )
The most popular team was:
Mignolet
Coleman - Terry - Zabaleta
Barkley - Hazard - Ramsey - Yaya Touré
Lukaku - Suárez - Agüero
There were 5 teams with these exact players starting:

Lost on last page Good move ?? (have to take hits due to injuries)
Aguero Ravel Kosc > Lukaku Walcott Evans (-8)Open ControlsIs it borderline lunacy to bring in Welbeck (To afford Brunt -> Silva) when I already have Rooney?
Open ControlsYes. And Silva is one off a suspension.
Open ControlsActually I think i'll bring in Yaya instead of Silva & Hooper instead of Welbeck?
Open ControlsI don't think it is you know. Am seriously considering this, Viper!
Open Controls
Play Terry (ars) or Ward (NEW) ?
Open ControlsWard
Open ControlsHi doggy, I'm playing Ward and benching Terry. All the other dogs that I know are doing the same.
Open ControlsI'm playing Gabbidon and benching JT( though hell probably get a CS now!)
Open Controls
Anyone reckon Koscielny to Evans is worth a -4 this week(Long term transfer)?
Open ControlsSo all this 352 vs 343 talk is about if a mid like hazard/walcott/silva will outscore negredo for the next few weeks, nobody can predict that can they? Still might stick with the 343
Open ControlsDon't agree with 3 5 2 in general but the good options for a front 3 are dwindling now that Aguero is inj
Open Controls
If you were to bring a premium defender after upcoming fixtures this weekend. Who would you get? Assume that both vertongen and baines are ready to play.
Open Controlsthis.... now my only city cover
Open Controls
Do i need to take a -4 to sort my defence, which has been stingy with the points past week or two?
How's it lookin?who would you bench. Thanks for taking a look...

Gabbidon terry distin shaw baker

I'm considering tripling up too then losing one for the Liverpool game. But I'd like Rooney or Welbeck for the West Ham game and the couple of fixtures after that.Open ControlsI will probably drop Silva or yaya for Walcott after chelsea game
Open Controls
Fonte going to drop tonight?
Open ControlsClyne is falling even though he's back this week?

Really could do with some help guys...been a long day mulling this over... Last time to put this out before I pull the old trigger!
A) Aguero, Ozil, Lallana > Rooney, Wally, Silva. (-8) (Bang on the money tonight)
B) Aguero, Lallana > Negredo, Nasri (-4)
(Nasri could be instead of Silva in A also?)
These changes would see me pretty much set until Jan WC (Team linked).
Thanks Guys!!!!Open ControlsUntil GW 17, which team that you have never owned its player?
Me: Stoke & FulhamOpen ControlsNo news on Koscielny yet?
Open ControlsCould be Costielny

So. Week 3 I posted here saying Spurs were toothless and had no creativity and never looked like they would find any.
A certain mod decided to have a go at me for this.
Now week 16, they have less Goals For and a worse Goal Difference than Anelka's West Brom. AVB is sacked. They have less goals than Suarez despite his 5 game ban and less goals from open play at the Lane than Liverpool this season. Having failed to beat Arsenal, Chelsea, Liverpool and City and scored 1 in these 4 games and conceded 5 and 6 against Liverpool and Man City, I think maybe, just maybe, I had a point. Not that I was alone week 3, but the mod decided to single me out.
I can't lie. I've waited for the AVB sacking and had a wee smile at the 0-5. I never did respond to the name calling mod, but if he's here (you know who you are) ... All I have to say is 😆Open ControlsIs Anelka manager of West Brom?
Open Controls🙂

and less goals from open play at the Lane than Liverpool this season
😆Open ControlsInteresting comment on the BBC story though…..
"He won 53.7% of his league games in charge, which is the highest of any Spurs manager since the Premier League era began in 1992."
That surprised me a little.Open Controls%50 of that %53.7 were won by Gareth Bale

Would appreciate some help with this one guys. My team:
Myhill, Boruc
GJ, Evra, Coleman, Turner, Garrido
Ozil, Hazard, Seesegnon, Ravel, Januzaj
Suarez, Lukaku, Remy
0.9 m in the bank.
Thinking Ozil to Silva?Open ControlsNah sess out if making a mid transfer
Open Controls
Aguero---->Negredo done, ignoring Lukaku. I just had a gut feeling on Negredo - I cant rationalise getting him over Lukaku for any other reason
Sess out later in week for a hit for one of Silva, Cabaye or Mirallas I think.Open ControlsNo pens for Negredo failed it for me
Looking forward to some more jammy Lukaku assists 🙂Open Controls
