A number of midfielders are placed under the spotlight, with Arsenal, City, Chelsea and Liverpool all serving up some strong statistics. The performance of United’s frontmen at Villa and Tottenham’s inability to find the net under the now-departed Andre Boas-Villa also come under analysis as we delve into the data.

Paul Is certain he won't make the same mistakes next season. Follow them on Twitter

Got a great squad, just got to put round pegs in round holes.

NOt sure if you can see this link, but it's a table of all the tottenham managers with AVB sitting pretty at the top with a win percentage of 53.7% Yeah I know it's hard to compare that when you consider how much money he spent, but it's still interesting

I'm not a stats man... and yes, AVB has had more money than all of those put together probably!

I know it takes time to settle etc etc... but he's barely got anything out of Soldado/Eriksen/Lamela. I'm not saying they should be world beaters, but nowhere near potential.

    Brady > Giaccherini
    Aguero > negredo?

    Leaves me with

    Myhill (Howard)

    Chico, terry, ward, burner, mert
    Giaccherini, ozil, Ramsay, rav, cout
    Lukaku, Suarez, negredo

    Then the following week

    Cout > silva?

I kinda liked Nigella Lawson even though she was the daughter of a conservative MP representing the corrupt banking industry in the square mile of London's gas chambers. Nice boobs too.

The worrying thing for high SP to PP ratio Aguero sellers would be that the mass panic selling means he ends up with huge percentages selling over the next few days - actually limiting his total price fall in the longer term.

300% down steps are worse for retaining 'buyback-ability' than a series of 120% steps over a longer period.

Sometimes the immediacy and speed of comms through the net - FFS, twitter, total FPL, Sky Sports News, smartphones, iPads &c &c - make inevitable a speedy spreading panic - meaning that some of us get shafted by rapidly contagious thought ?!

Thoughts on aguero to Rooney (free) plus take a hit for?

    1. Ozil to Yaya/Silva
    2. Ozil to Walcott
    3. Save
    4. Sod Rooney, do Aguero+Shelvey to Silva/Yaya+Negredo (and downgrade Ozil next week)

Currently tempted by 1 for next city game. Would rather do today to avoid rises, although with silva might be wise to wait until tomorrow?

This article by Jason Burt in the Telegraph gets closest to the reasons for his departure. Not a rage sacking, but a growing apart between Levy and AVB that has apparent for a while now. Villas Boas was ultimately relieved to be leaving White Hart Lane.

    Have Nasri

    A) Silva
    B) Yaya

First to 3 will be in my team before the price rise for Oscar

          As mentioned above.
Was it easier for Spurs to move now towards a sacking before a slightly easier run of fixtures?
          Like Hughes at Citeh ?

Damn...a bit lost towards bottom of page...

Final call! Got to pull the trigger!

    A) Aguero, Ozil, Lallana > Rooney, Wally, Silva for a -8 hit (Exactly the right funds tonight only)

    B) Aguero, Lallana > Negredo, Nasri for a - 4 hit

    With A team would be:

    Marshall, Davis,
    Distin, Jags, Per, Ward, Burner
    Wally, Silva, Yaya, Ramsey, Ravel
    Luka, Suarez, Roonpig

    Advice much appreciated!

...My brain is frazzled from todays ponderings!

Lots of people hitting my friend…..(including me) - so a good time to readjust.
I'm still 3 transfers away from what I was chasing.
(I MUST stop this drift into last seasons transfer addiction.)

However - as a one-off long-termer it looks OK old boy…but got to be for the long haul.
I'd be leery of dropping Ozil for Wally for -4 though - but I guess you've got to do it for funding….and Silva could easily pick up a yellow (even a deliberate one in the CC) ?

You should catch some good price rises prior to Jan though…..

Don't blame me if it takes a few weeks to pay off 😉

Probably a cautious yes from me….IF Wally is going to get consistent 90 mins.

      How's the Windy ??

        Cheers mate,

Do you think Rooney is the better option over Negredo?

I am very reluctant to do Ozil for Wally it's 50/50 who will perform the best in the long run but Walcott does have greater potential for points and as you say it would free up some cash. It would be long termish...until as late as I can hold in in Jan for the WC I suppose.

I've only taken 3 4 pointers this season and still doing well. Chasing the mini-league leader a bit at about 90-100 points but it's do-able. Still have my WC in my pocket too 😉

How are you getting along? The windy's great, took some friends visiting from the States there recently along with a few other old haunts!

If you fancy a Christmas jar at any time it would be my pleasure to put the world of FPL to rights with you!

I went for Rooney - not sure about Negredo's game time over next few weeks - but could be wrong. Dzeko will expect to get some share of the time with Aguero injured. Jovetic needs a little bit of match time to ease back to full fitness. If City's midfielders play well, that might allow a bit of that rotation at the front.

I've been hitting a fair bit in recent weeks. Going to maybe waggle around over next 2 weeks then clamp down as I should be well set for Jan WC.
You've done very well to still have the WC - could be vital late season.

Sadly not coming up for Xmas…folks are heading this way as easier for them to come to the children.

Off to JFK tomorrow, and a Newark to do - but then on leave over Christmas - can't wait !

          Have a good one.
Will defo be in touch for a pint when I head back up.

          Off to bed now…..
          'Night pal.

-8 for last gws point scorers is a bargain imo

Kun and Clyne will score 0 points and Sess will get 1 or 2.

So, basically Silva, negredo and Evans need to score 10 or more points which is very likely I think.

Very Very similar. Ive also taken a -8 and Im left with:

      Howard
      Jagielka, Evans, GJ
      Hazard, Wally, Silva, Ramsey
      Suarez, Lukaku, Negredo

Out of curiosity, who are your subs? (Chester, Dawson, Januzaj for me)

I wouldnt take the hit for Wally. Would just do it next week.

        Ravel,Burner and Faye.

You're in better shape with Wally and GJ in there.

I think i'm coming down with a fever or something. Welbeck has prevailed as the favourite to take the 7.0m forward available in my frontline 😯

I went for Negredo over Lukaku, perhaps the less template choice

You just have to listen to yourself at times and take the punches or highs that come
