An all-London affair at the Emirates brings the curtain down on Gameweek 17 this evening. Plenty of Fantasy favourites are on show as the Gunners look for the win that would extend their lead to four points over the chasing pack:

For the hosts, Aaron Ramsey and Mesut Ozil are the main protagonists for Fantasy managers, whilst Theo Walcott will be looking to maintain the form that saw him score twice at the Etihad last weekend.

Jose Mourinho’s side roll up on the back of a poor form of form on the road. The Blues have been beaten in three of their last four away games in all competitions but know that a victory will draw them level with the Gunners on 36 points. Eden Hazard will be desperate to have his say before Fantasy managers turn our attentions to the Gameweek 18 fixtures on Boxing Day.

The team news sees the hosts make four changes from the side that lost 6-3 at City last time around. Kieran Gibbs and Thomas Vermaelen are drafted in for Nacho Monreal and Laurent Koscielny at the back, with the Frenchman sidelined due to a knee wound. Mikel Arteta partners Aaron Ramsey in the double-pivot, with Mathieu Flamini dropping out, whilst Tomas Rosicky gets the nod on the left, replacing the suspended Jack Wilshere. Lukas Podolski warms the Gunners bench along with the likes of Santi Cazorla.

The Blues make three alterations from the XI that edged past Palace. Gary Cahill replaces David Luiz in defence, whilst John Obi Mikel and Frank Lampard are drafted into midfield – Michael Essien drops out through suspension while Juan Mata takes his place on the bench, allowing Ramires to move onto the right of the attacking midfield three. Oscar, Andre Schurrle and Samuel Eto’o are also amongst the subs, with Fernando Torres leading the line again.

Once again, we’ve opened the Dugout Discussion chatroom for those partial to some real-time reaction.

If Lukaka > Adebayor is a dirty, knee-jerky type move, how come it feels so right? Anyone else tempted?

Currently in Munich for Christmas and upto my eyeballs in Glühwein. Anyway, rare chance for me to get online so have done my FT for boxing day...

...Lukaku out ... Adebeyor in... and giving him the armband.

(This is a semi-knee jerk, particularly from looking at the comparison, plus I have been very disappointed with Lukaku's overall involvement in recent games. Plus his teammates would rather shoot for themselves than pass it to him.)

Definitely Lukaku. At home, unlikely to be rotated (no Jelavic or Kone) and against a team without its main CB partnership (Brown out and O'Shea 50% chance of playing). Plus Baines may be back, so he might get a pass.

    current team is

    Howard, Davis,
    Mert, Coleman, A.Williams*, Clyne, Chester,
    Silva, Wally, Hazard*, Ramsey, JWP*,
    Suarez, Rooney, Lukaku

    1FT, 0.8 ITB
which of the following would you recommend

    1. Williams to Evans
    2. JWP to Januzaj
    3. both above for -4
    4. Williams to Evans this week and Hazard to YYT next week when Che fixtures get tough

    Cheers

I think sticking the c on Suarez is a bit of a lame effort. Rooney surly is the better option, everything goes through him.....granted so does everything Liverpool do goes through Suarez......but City have been unreal at home, it's going to be slim pickings for those that captain Suarez.

Hull look more solid than City at home tbh.

Granted.....but barring the Liverpool game they arguably should be doing ok at home, they've not been tested really. Palace won there. I think united will be hell bent to get a result to keep this run going

Im not sure Rooney will be threatening, i see him dropping deep and Welbeck/Januz/Valencia being the ones to profit away from home.

    Quick question:

What's the biggest thing you've ever sacrificed in your life, to fit in FPL time?

Sometimes I've cancelled my friends coming over so I can go on FPL all night. 😆

Not that bothered that I would cancel plans for it; at the end of the day, you make two choices a week, a captain, and a transfer.

I would take the hit and get Yaya/Silva, unless you want Cabaye, not really much midfielders worth their money for 8.0 or less
