And breathe. With the dust settling on tonight’s tumultuous showdown at White Hart Lane, it’s high time that we pointed out that our Watchlist player rankings have been updated (viewable in your right-hand menu). We’ve already begun rolling out the associated articles with our earlier focus on City’s Yaya Toure.

Indeed, Roberto Mancini’s City outfit, fresh from dumping rivals United in Sunday’s FA Cup semi, could well end the season on a real high. The Wembley final date with Stoke will be circled in red on Mancini’s calendar but, as we revealed in Monday’s “Frisking the Fixtures”, City have a run-in that should give them every opportunity to seal a top four finish with plentiful Fantasy returns thrown in.

City’s Fantasy assets all make significant climbs in our rankings then and only the absence of Carlos Tevez through injury prevents them from dominating matters across the board.

Joe Hart is the first beneficiary, climbing back to the top of the goalkeeper rankings, a position he held for many weeks earlier in the season. City are one of the few sides who seem likely to keep clean sheets over the final gameweeks and Hart offers the ultimate security within Mancini’s back four – admittedly with a steep price tag to match.

Like Hart, Pepe Reina presents assured starts in the Liverpool defence – another side who appear to have a run of fixtures that favours defensive returns. Three Anfield encounters in the next four has them well placed for clean sheets and Sunday’s stubborn display at the Emirates certainly bodes well for those looking to invest in the Dalglish rearguard.

Bolton’s Jussi Jaaskaleinen is without doubt the most interesting prospect in our end of season standings. The Trotters have a reasonable run-in ahead of them, including a double fixture in the forthcoming gameweek. Jaaskaleinen may have earned just 5 clean sheets all season but 3 of those have come in the last 8 gameweeks and, in terms of Save Points in the Fantasy Premier League game, he offers potential which, for a fee of just 4.6, warrants attention. The Trotters stopper has delivered Save Points in 4 of his last 5 matches.

Joe Hart’s progress is mirrored by a major climb in our defender rankings for the much-maligned Aleksandar Kolarov. Say what you like about the Serbian’s defending, there’s little doubt that he continues to offer a strong influence on City’s attacking ploys. Prominent at set-plays and constantly raiding down the left-flank, Kolarov may come under threat of rotation now that Micah Richards is set to return to boost Mancini’s options, but if he retains the left-back role over Pablo Zabaleta, Kolarov offers clear potential at both ends of the field for the City run-in.

Elsewhere, the forthcoming double gameweek hands short-term boosts to the likes of Robert Huth, Gary Cahill and Brede Hangeland – all three earning high rankings with strong goal threat over their remaining fixtures. With clean sheets likely to remain at a premium with so much at stake at both ends of the table – their potential to nick goals and FPL Bonus Points only improves their stock.

While that trio are in the ascendancy, Everton’s Leighton Baines takes a tumble down the rankings as his fixtures stiffen and the impending return of Mikel Arteta relieves him of spot-kick duties that have earned him 2 goals in the last 3 gameweeks. Seamus Coleman is also back on the menu as a cheaper, out-of-position option for those looking to keep faith with the in-form Toffees.

Liverpool’s John Flanagan is perhaps the most notable addition to our rankings – the young 4.5 FPL prospect looks set to continue at right-back given the casualty list at Anfield and, having excelled in his previous two starts, he should be in line to figure in Liverpool’s three home matches in the next four.

Despite a disappointing return in tonight’s 3-1 win over Birmingham, Frank Lampard’s strike in the similar win at West Brom, coupled with his three Stamford Bridge clashes in the next four, keeps the Chelsea midfielder atop our rankings. The double gameweek candidates are breathing down his neck however. A collective of Clint Dempsey, Matt Etherington and Jon Walters all gain huge boosts from their double fixtures, the latter perhaps providing a real differential to consider. We will bring you more on Stoke’s out-of-position prospect later this week.

Yaya Toure, subject of our earlier article, is City’s representative in the upper tier or our rankings, with team-mates David Silva and Adam Johnson also present and on our radars for City’s run-in. On the red side of Manchester, Nani’s decline from top spot to a mid-table position was worsened by last night’s showing at Newcastle. The prospect of a rest at the weekend ahead of United’s Champions League semi-final adds a further dent to his stock. Another former favourite, Charlie Adam, suffers a slight slip as injury doubts linger ahead of his home fixture with the Geordies this weekend. Adam should be revived in our thinking once we get further news on his prognosis.

Talking of revivals, both Rafael Van der Vaart and Florent Malouda enjoyed late boosts following their goals tonight – the pair also earned maximum FPL Bonus and will go into their remaining matches with confidence flowing. Having sparkled at various points in the season – they could yet tempt new Fantasy investment in the closing weeks.

While tough fixtures cause Arsenal’s midfield talent takes a dive in our rankings, Robin Van Persie holds the top spot up front with Villa’s Darren Bent showing enough form to climb above Wayne Rooney who drops to fifth. The United man drew a blank at St James’ Park last night and suffers from a run of tough fixtures over the next three.

Double gameweek treats are offered up by Bolton’s red-hot Daniel Sturridge and Fulham’s Bobby Zamora – they climb above Rooney and both look well positioned to add to their goal tallies in the gameweek, while Sturridge appears to have a run of fixtures that should see his returns continue to the season end.

Liverpool’s Luis Suarez and Andy Carroll sit still in mid-table, strong form keep them simmering, despite a tough run of opponents to come. Wigan’s Hugo Rodallega makes good progress following his record-breaking strike at Blackpool – his schedule should bring further returns if Wigan can maintain confidence and form. Those three look the strongest options for those considering a differential outside of the double gameweek options – unless you have the cash to throw at Didier Drogba’s form after his impressive gameweek 33 haul.

We will be discussing the prospect of these players and more in tomorrow night’s Scoutcast which was recorded earlier today. Big Dunc will also follow Friday’s Scout Picks with his usual smattering of “Differentials” before the bell tolls on another gameweek on Saturday.

Mark Mark created the beast. He's now looking to tame it.

    Howard, Mignolet
    Simpson, A.Cole, Luiz, Ridgewell, Walker
    Lampard, Nasri, VDV, Adam, Young
    RVP, Carroll, Gyan

            Lampard (WHM)

            Adam (NEW)

It was always going to be difficult for him to settle, moving to a new club for big money, new league, new country, different style of play, rotation. Lets see what he can do next season.

Bit late to the party but what a night!

The NLondon derby was one of the best games this season, nice to see Arsenal choke a bit more too. Huddlestone's goal was pure class.

So glad I kept faith in VDV nearly got rid this week after holding on the entire time, and what a way to repay me. Helped me on my way to 48 pts tonight, to reach 101 and got to 256 overall 😀

Saw the Chelsea highlights, and Luiz really is sh*te isn't he. Seems to c*ck up every single game, surely he must move into CDM if he ever wants to go places 'cos defensively he's crap. Chelsea been mugged off there I reckon (like with Torres).

Both VDV and Walcott performing tonight was nice to see but makes my decision of ?->Walters a bit tougher. Will keep them so it's one of Adam (poor form, poor team atm), Mereiles (nice fixtures, steady/average point return) or Nani (High potential, rotation risk).

Sturridge -> Beckford is nailed on now, just need to decide who to take out. I will be taking a 4 pt hit (only my third of the season), but reckon it could be worth it.

Little help guys over i this timezone and those still awake back in the West.

I'm facing a right pickle. First year I've managed to get up into the top spot of my mini league and keep it until now. Last night it all went pete tong. 5 points ahead to 15 points behind. Now I need to decide what the hell to do.

I'm currently lining up like this

      Bergovic, (Foster)

Luiz, Smalling, Huth, (Walker), (A Johnson)

Lampard, Nani, Nasri, Adam, A Young

      Rooneh, RVP, (Welbeck)

My main rival has, Luiz, Smalling, Nani, Nasri, Adam and RVP.

So basically he overtook me this week by captaining Drogba the b@stard. He was certain to make a 4 point hit to get more than 1 DW player in but hopefully I'll got myself a life line in that RVP and Nasri got goals as he may not make the changes that he was going to do. He currently has 1 DW player.

His team isn't good enough to last into weeks 36, 37 and 38 without more hits so I don't mind to take a 4 pointer this week to try and claw back some points. Hell I'd even take an 8 pointer. Thinking of doing the same for next week anyway to get in 2 City players and perhaps a Spurs player. I've taken plenty of hits this year and almost all have payed off so really not worried about that.

What would you lot do with the conundrum that faces me.....

Thanks....my thoughts with Dempsey were that 1.) he is likely to get him in and 2.) Is Zamora a better pick.

I think I'd rather Odem for the rest of the season over Sturridge so not worried about getting Zamora as a temporary player.

All over YaYa and Kolarov though. Was in fact thinking of Luiz to YaYa since Chelsea have TOT and manu and I can't see clean sheets there.

I think zamora's a much better pick than dempsey, just do welbeck to zamora imo. 15 points is nothing, especially as you have different expensive players so captain choices will be different most weeks. VDV and drog could hurt you bad this week but I guess you gotta hope that rooney/young can do the business this week.
I'd just do that 1 trade and then next week consider getting silva in for nasri or balotelli in for zamora

Cheers Champ. Unfortunately I only have 5.8m from Welbeck so not enough to get in Zamora with those funds. Would have to do Nasri to Walters too freeing up more money.

Lampard vs West Ham and Rooney vs Everton could either be great or shocking. Either 30 points or a nice 4 I think. I think I'll do the 2 above and just stick with the 4 point hit.

Next week I'll get Yaya in possibly for Lampard and the week after I'll get Kolarov for Luiz. Reckon he'll still play both games and some potential going forward even if cleanies are elusive. After that I could do Zamora to Drogba for the last 2 weeks and have Drogba, Rooney and RVP up front.

ahh fair enough, those 2 sound good to me. So you'll bench adam this week then?
Kolarov's still a very good pick imo, I've held onto him for his fixtures from this week onwards including the dgw. I'm planning to have kolarov, silva, balotelli, vdv, bale in gw36.
Think I'll do the same as you, nasri to walters and bench adam this week

Might even leave Nani on the bench you know. Shock horror I'm sure but my thinking is if Nani doesn't play because of the Champions League game a few days later it would be a smart move. Everton are not exactly playing bad at the moment either. I guess my rival will transfer out Adams so he could be a good differential to keep too. There is no way he'll have the balls to remove Nani.

All a gamble but guess that is what needs to be done to save the day. Then again I probably won't have the balls either and can hope to claw back the points from Lampard and Rooney. God damn this season is tight.

He has Nani and Adam, who I think are off form.

You have them too, so I'd get rid of Adam for a Stoke Mid and also get rid of Wellbeck for Sturridge or Zamora, then bench Nani.

Adam and Nani need to go. Nani being the big risk since he may score well in the few games he has left.

If you don't want to get rid of either then Meireles seems like the best candidate to boot out.

If you look a bit further down you can see why I'm keeping Nani. I posted earlier VDV and Walcott staying for now, so it's Adam or Mereiles.

Form>Fixtures is one of my core beliefs so surely Adam has to go. Mereieles is picking up nice steady points and Liverpool have an easy run in with lots of potential. But Adam has been with me since GW1 bar a few week absence so it'll be hard to let go.

That sounds more like an emotional attachment than a sound transfer decision.

Don't take hits. I've taken 2 4 pointers this season and I swear by not taking them unless possible. One of them was the everton DGW when Cahill got injured a few days before and had already made a transfer so did a straight Cahill to Atreta which paid off. The other was to reverse a short term switch I'd made while also wanting to bring in VDV in GW8 for Ireland who I took a bad punt on.

It's served me well, and I think people who start p*ssing points up the wall every week are foolish. I will take a hit this week most likely since its a DGW and I have a good feeling about 2 players, but this will be my last. Especially if he's going to be taking hits, you not taking hits is an easy way to make up a large chunk of those points without much effort.

Your squad looks fairly healthy so I don't reckon you need to make radical changes.

GK and defense will see you to the end I reckon. This week you should go for either Sturridge/Zamora for Welbeck or Ethers/Walters(I'm going Walters) for whichever of your midfield you want rid of, they all look potentially removable from different angles.

For the DGW city/spurs you can get 2 in without having to take a hit if you do one for GW 35 and one for GW36. Yaya is the obvious choice for city guaranteed starter, good returns, playing higher without Tevez yadda yadda yadda you know the score. Don't bother with any of the other mids as they'll be rotated or aren't good fantasy prospects, and without Tevez don't risk the strikers.

For the other GW36 transfer you could go City defense but you will either have to go high price or risk it on one of the FBs who with Richards coming back are interchangeable now. Besides eve and TOT aren't CS potential really. Thus it might be worth sticking around to see how VDV does cos if he can rediscover form, he will be worth a punt.

For the final 2 weeks it's too early to judge but go by form and opposition choices at the time. If you do want to take a hit, go for either this week or GW 36, and perhaps take a punt on Drogs for Rooney, or even Lamps->Wlaters, Welbeck->Drogs if you can afford.

Hope that gives you some help 🙂

Beckford to Sturrige and probably Adam-> Walters is where I'm going this week, so you could easily follow suit, although I don't like Villa players this season as prospects cos they're sh*te so downing could go if Adam's fixtures are too tempting (I want to get rid but Newcastle and Stoke at home are screaming don't do it!)

Zamora over Sturridge then? Hmm I see where people are coming from there, just can't quite get into Zamora myself. Still not fully recovered from injury, won't play full 180 like Sturridge, very hit and miss and his 'form' was two goals against 'can't defend' Blackpool.

Could get a few, but equally could do nothing. Also rightly or wrongly he still has an image in my head of a forward who doesn't score regualrly from two+ years ago. He's just one who doesn't quite fit for me and I'd rather have Sturridge long run, but good luck with him.

Anyway its getting light and the birds are tweeting so I'm off for some shut eye. Night x

So many mids to choose from they aint all going to get 15 points plus so some are going to have to miss out. (Lampard this week 🙁 )

That is great stuff. I was actually looking at how I can get a front line of Drogs, Rooneh and RVP which would serve me until the end of the season.

I'm thinking of dropping Nani like you mentioned since I'm not as certain how much of a starter he is from here and his value could come in handy if I make the move to Drogba.

All over the YaYa move next week but wouldn't mind downgrading Luiz to someone with better games too.

Think I might do the Nasri to Walters this week since he is the form player and hopefully my rival will just do the obvious and plump for Dempsey.

No hit with 3 double gameweekers.

I reckon most people will get Ethers, but Walters is in far better form, and one thing I've learnt from this season is that form is paramount.

Was just about to ditch VDV but now he's hit form, I won't.

Ye, the more I think about it the greater the Lampard ->Walters, Welbeck-> Drogs switches look. Lampard from my point of view is not worth the value and I tried to warn people to avoid him the last couple of weeks. He's living off past reputation. This week feels good for a hit to me (as good as any) and Drogba could lap it up vs Wham.

Nani is worth keeping I don't know when you got him in but with his huge price rise since the start if you had him then and sell now you're effectively giving away £1mil. Plus I doubt he would free up enough funds for Drogba. Add that to the fact he's been by far the best players all season, and can still get great scores (11 last week) don't knee jerk what could be a big mistake. He can always be benched but you don't want to lose that money on his value incase he flies again.

Also I saw someone make a great point, Giggs and Park are unlikely to play vs Everton, Giggs will be saved to play CM in CL and was poor vs 'Castle, while Park is a nailed on starter for CL and always gets the nods in the big games, so is unlikely to play the smaller games with 4 huge ones coming up so I expect Nani and Valencia to start.

Luiz is due another goal soon I reckon, and although he is a terrible defenders he's going go be part of that dependable Chelsea backline. Perhaps he could be a GW36 trade for Richards if Alex is coming back around then and Richards is a starter is fully fit DGwer.

I know I might be going off on a few different points and rambling a bit, but hope I've given you lots of food for thought. I know I began with avoid hits, but since I'm going in this week I'd strongly recommend the two transfers at the top of my post here for a hit this week, and then don't take another all season, especially as you have two weeks to prepare for GW36.

Some of my best results have been when I had a lot of cash sitting in the bank. It's always tempting to go for the most expensive players (My second season was an utter disaster due to trying to maximise the value of the players on the pitch every week), but it simply doesn't work out like that.

Walters and Drogs are great choices. I already have Drogs but Walters is now in for Adam.

Fat Frank is a prime exapmle of an utter waster of a top priced player in the game. But Drogs is currently a prime example of needing funds to buy the best options. Drogs and RVP are vital for the run in IMO and justify their price tag. Your point is perfectly valid though chase players not prices (thus why I knew Lampard was always doomed to fail the last few weeks).

However players like Walters are such brilliant value for money that it makes the perfect balance. But I do like to have as much cash available as possible should I need it.

I will also have Walters and Drogs and they could rip it up this weekend. Gonna be a tough call of who to captain between them two.

                                Too true.

I need to catch the guy who's 60 points ahead of me though, so will be captaining a very risky player.

May do well, may see my rank plummet. Who knows?

The reason I chose the name Horizontal is because if I finish with the same rank as I had after GW1 then I'll be a very happy chappy. 🙂

                                    Huth?

I think he has an outside chance of a 40 point week as captain. Could easily get a goal a clean sheet and 3 bonii points. He is due a goal in the league and perhaps his one last week will spur him on. Just don't like the way people are talking about a FA Cup hangover.

                        hoo-boy

coming off 111 points (inspired transfer in and armband to malouda), and wondering what to do with the team. big "issue" is replacing torres with zamora gives me TONS of cash and i'm not sure what to do with it. right now contemplating:

                        torres -> zamora
                        nasri -> walters
                        walker -> huth

for 8-pt hit. but it leaves me with 7.0 in the bank.

any ideas? could take it up to a 12-pointer, but for who? team is:

                        mignolet (al habsi)
                        kolarov/luiz/walker (coleman/rj)
                        nani/vdv/nasri/young/malouda
                        torres/rvp/welbeck

                        many thanks!

                          both great suggestions.

will hold off on the third, making GW34 team:

                          mignolet

                          sturridge/rvp/zamora

GW35 is looking dicey, with A LOT of my players playing each other. though if they do what spurs and the arse did last night, that's not necessarily a bad thing...

You are in a bit of a pickle there.

Having half your team playing the other half of your team is a one way ticket to Planet Average.

Not recommended. I've tried it a couple of times and it failed miserably.

Yet another "miss" of a gwk when the Gods seemed fair minded. Think that's blown my chances of the top spot.

So this week: 2 frees. Thinking Sturridge/Dempsey. Walters/VDV in the mix too. ?:

Lamps -> Walters, Odem -> Drogs is one that could reap some fine rewards this week.

I also thing Yaya and VDV may well be vital for the DGW so may well be useful for future considerations.

Thanks Bmb. Lamps is a bit of a keeper for these home games. More likely to get rid of that waster, Lennon, or Adam for Walters or Dempsey.

Walters and Dempsey seemed like the transfers to do this week but Sturridge is on form and has a good run of fix.

Lampard worth £13m gets 14 points in 3 games when Chelsea score 7 = massive rip off IMO. There are plenty more reasons not to have Lampard too. He's playing poorly and getting Drogba in will allow you to harness the point scoring ability Chelsea currently have. 22 in 2 doesn't lie.

Lennon is due a couple of games if Bale is out for a week or two, and worth keeping for a DGW. Adam has such nice fixtures I am struggling to bring myself to sell him.

I'm doing Walters and Sturridge in for Beckford and One of my mids, and you could follow suit, but I feel that you're losing out not having Drogba this week.

There was I thinking Drogba was a risk with Torres. A week in fantasy is as one in politics.
You say Lampard's playing poorly but last time I checked two gwks ago, only one other mid had more shots on target. CHS putting in 15 shots/game too. I have this gut that Lampard is due a big haul. Can't bring myself to invest in Drog as he has been so poor for most of the season.

Lennon is not starting so no point hanging on.

Adam's injury is a worry. Like you, I prefer Walters to Etherington.

Adam to Walters and a striker for Zmor and captain him for this week only if you think it's wise.

It's a risk, a big, huge massive risk, but I didn't captain Drogs this week and am paying the retrospective hindsight 20/20 vision penalty for it.

                                  Not for me.

Dempsey is playing deeper now and although I love the fact that he shoots on sight, then his last few games have been disappointing in terms of FPL rewards.

                                  7 4 2 4 7 3 2

Note that since Zamora has been back then his points have been, well, average.

                                    Good evidence there, H'tal.
Swinging to Sturridge and Walters now.

Mind you, BOL were awful in the semi-finals that it's going to require a leap of faith to invest in them. Thought Jaaskelainen looked quite poor in goal too. Bit concerned that BOL have nothing to play for.

If you are still here, Bill, then I'd get Sturridge in next week. Not this week.

I reckon Bolton will be champing at the bit to get goals but after their performance against Stoke then they may need some time to get their act together.

That sounds counter-intuitive, but it's actually not.

for once I attempted to exercise patience and not transfer too early in the week, was montoring Dempsey every day and it looked like he wasnt going to rise overnight. Well I wake up and see he has risen and now the planned transfer is short by .1

                        DAMNIT!!!!

so simpson/nasri-->huth/dempsey is off, i have two options.

drop djourou instead of simpson, with (bol,MAN,stk) on the horizon, nice cheap option but perhaps not necessary.
OR pick up hangeland instead of huth. dont fancy as much as an attacking threat but he has some potential there and I fancy Fulhams chances of cleanies are better than stokes.

which sounds better to you out there in fantasy land?

As much as it pains me, I don't think that Arsenal defenders are reliable for cleanies any more.

But you have Adam, who is off form/injured and that's where I'd focus my attention if I were you.

BTW, I was "Drog Me To Hell And Back" at the start of this season, and good on ya mate. You did take my advice. 🙂

refresh my memory regarding the advice? I dont recall but i remember the name.

i feel i have to drop nasri first because i dont like the idea of having 2 attacking arsenal with the remaining fixtures and i think RVP is enough. adams form/unavailability is managable, is was having difficulty deciding who to bench this week anyway. may do adam-->yaya next week.

My advice was not to panic and take big hits to chase points, and to keep your wildcard as long as you could bear before playing it.

                              Pretty simple stuff.

Well considering he fell on Monday I think it was only a 3 day play so not that bad. Read above. Thinking seems that Dempsey will get nout with Zamora back up top. Better to look elsewhere like Walters? I sense another train coming and it's potentially going to crash into bits like every other one we've had this season.

very slender lead (12pts) and unsure of moves this week so any help greatly appreciated.
                          Begovic (Foster)
                          Luiz/Terry/Huth (R Johnson) (M Kelly)
                          Nani/VDV/Nasri/Adam/Lampard
                          Sturridge/RVP (DJ)

Lampard to Dempsey and DJ to Drogs for -4 (sideways move?)

Or just bring in Dempsey for Nasri/Nani?

                          Really not sure!

Dempsey for Nasri. Loose Either Luiz or Terry.... not good having 2 def from same team, only if they are def guaranteed having a clean sheet (doubt chel have that luxary at the moment)

I'm beginning to think that we're past the point of investing in defenders at this stage of the season so you might as well take some chances with the mids/fwds.

I made the decision to remove Nani for lampard as I see his game time reduced. The Dempsey evidence above isn't too flattering. Walters makes more appeal part. as he's OOPing.

Of the two options, I much prefer the first. I don't fancy Djourou for many clean sheets from here on out, and Huth could put up a monster. He gets forward much more against lesser clubs, and bigger bonus threat.

Adam to a Stoke Mid DGW'r and bench Nani.

He's going to be rotated, IMHO.

I wouldn't be discouraged by Adam. Walter is good for the next two weeks only, not til the end of the season, and it looks like the move you speak of is for a 4 pt hit.

I say save the transfer, I can see Adam getting points this weekend. Always like betting on the team that has longer to prepare for the match. Maybe hold off until you hear definitive news on whether Adam will play or not.

Adam has lost form, confidence and the will to live. 🙂

Note what Holloway said after the last match when interviewed.

Something like: "We've been missing something since January."

I think that's a reference to Adam being denied a move in the January transfer window and not bothering much any more.

                                            Yep. Adam to Walters.

On form, DGW and decent fixtures for the next two weeks.

The only alternative I've even done a rough analysis on is a wolves mid (O'Hara or Jarvis), but they are up against some pretty stoic defences in their run in.

One of the worst transfers of my season...VDV-->Adam.

Cost me 13 points, probably lost my last change of winning mini league and put me under pressure in h2h Reserves.

                              I hate FPL.

I feel your pain. Mine was the Rooney to Drogba that I loaded up on the screen every morning before the prices changes. Was 11.9m when I first did it. I'm now 15 behind.

Let's not lose heart though. We've been top before and we'll be top again. Just hope that the Walters transfer you may be planning (if I remember) will work and get you back there.

Dear god I hope Lampard shoves the 'Fat Frank' chants down the Hammers' fans mouths this week with a brace and 3 bonii. Ditto with Rooneh and his swear jar.

Because he gained a lot of weight over the last year.

My worst transfer was Zigic in for the DGW, and then making him captain.

I almost cry when I think about it. 🙁

                                      2 points.

K-San - suddenly I don't have the balls anymore to do the walters transfer...or even the Zamora transfer...might just do NAsri-->Dempsey...and put all my Easter eggs in one basket and (c) him.

Guess it depends on what your rival will do right? If your rival does the same your in a spot of bother.

I have a lot of banter with my league through the week and we generally post our teams on Friday. Of course we can change them going into the Saturday and sometimes do, but more often that not what is posted on a Friday is the team we stick with. I may well just hang on and do the transfer then....Zamora will go up tonight and I'll miss that rise but then I don't think I'm concerned about value anymore and just need the form players. If he does Dempsey I'll do Walters. Can't be having the same team as him.

Then again. There are 5 weeks left. If he managed to get 20 points on me this week not including his 4 point hit then it CAN be done and doesn't have to be this week. Could be on the last week when Rooney, Nani, and possibly Lampard and Drogba are rested depending on if things are all sewn up at the top.

Yes, you right. It helps to bounce off some ideas. I just need to stay calm. Rule no 1 in FPL for me: "..less is more.." I should have followed that when I sold VDV. He was obviously going to hit form again.

I'm fighting on 2 fronts. Mini league and h2h reserves. It's exhausting!

I agree, i might be lucky and sneak it on the last day, especially if i get my ManU players correct. Hoping to save 2 trsfrs for gw 38.

Luckily I only have 1 league that I care about really. Think another would just kill me. This one goes back 4 or so years now and this could be my first ever win. Lost spectacularly after safe mid table the years before. Feels like Keven Keegan and SAF all over again from back in the day.

Checked out your rival's team and probably less is more with you. I think I need the 4 point his as we just have too many similarities. Then again. If I just do the Walters move I can play Adam who may finally do something.

                                              I'm in the same boat.

Do I try and beat my nemesis and pick players to catch up on him by picking differentials, or do I want to win my other mini league where the leader's players are completely different, or do I just want to go for the highest ranking I've ever achieved?

I think these three objectives are achievable, but the dichotomy (trichotomy?) remains.

Sorry. Bloody iPhone. Go for the highest rank, the rest will take care of itself(one way or the other)

I am in a mini league for a few quid with 2 mates and a lot of their mates who I hardly know. I have paid very little attention to their teams and just gone for who I think will score best and Im doing OK, nothing comparedto many on here (partly as Ive not been able to look at things much recently) but Id still recommend just go for who you think will score best!

with the early kickoff, and so much attention on uniteds squad, is there ANY chance we know if nani starts before the deadline? Or am i grasping and clutching?

Worth a 4 point hit to get rid of the dross that is Zigic from my team? I am looking at a DGW Zamora, Elmander or Sturridge.
