There may be just four gameweeks remaining on our low-fat Season Tickers but that’s more than enough calories to power another quick “Frisk” of the match-ups remaining.

Difficulty Ratings for all teams have been updated this morning, changing the complexion of the Members and Non-Members tickers slightly, so sort your columns and read on for our take on the teams offering Fantasy feast or famine for the season climax.

The Highs

Man City
Roberto Mancini’s men travel to Ewood tonight for a likely war of attrition with Blackburn. Following that however, the City squad looks ripe for Fantasy investment. Their double fixture in gameweek 36 appears tough (eve TOT) but, around this, City have home fixtures with West Ham (next) and Stoke that should certainly bring goals and could also return clean sheets.

Expect City’s assets to climb further in our Watchlist rankings tomorrow then, with Yaya Toure, Adam Johnson and David Silva all earning interest in midfield. Two rather more risky acquisitions – the explosive Mario Balotelli and the much-maligned Aleksandar Kolarov, cover the potential up front and at the back.

West Brom
The recent defeat to Chelsea was their only slip in the last 8 matches and that had more to do with the Londoner’s rise than any dip from Roy Hodgson’s side. Form is strong then and the Baggies should be be able to harness that over a final run of four matches (AVL wol EVE new) which really should enable them to continue to win friends and climb the table.

Two local derbies with Villa and at Wolves could be hard to call but, on a run of 4 goals in his last 5 league starts, Peter Odemwingie looks difficult to ignore right now. His captain Chris Brunt meanwhile, continues to pull the strings and could well bring his left-peg to bear in the remaining gameweeks.

Wolves
Mick McCarthy’s side are scrapping for every point and have the unenviable trip to the Britannia in midweek before they embark on their final quartet of games. Those four matches offer a superb opportunity for Wolves to play themselves out of trouble (bir WBA sun BLA) and will provide some comfort for those Fantasy Managers who invested in the likes of Jamie O’Hara and Matt Jarvis for gameweek 34.

Eleven goals in their last 8 matches is a statistic that indicates that Wolves should find the net over the remaining gameweeks. Fantasy Managers could do a lot worse than look to Molineux for answers in the budget bracket.

Bolton
Having banished the 5-0 FA Cup humiliation with the late win over Arsenal, Owen Coyle’s men have the opportunity to end the season on a high. They face a second gameweek fixture at Fulham in midweek – a tough prospect given the Cottagers home form and Bolton’s current trend of away results. Don’t let a slip there put you off Bolton’s assets however – trips to Blackburn and Blackpool with a home encounter with Sunderland in between, offer great opportunities for goals and even defensive returns. As last week’s Watchlist update indicated – Daniel Sturridge (if he shakes off his ankle injury) and Gary Cahill, look very attractive end of season prospects.

Also consider: Birmingham – Two strong hope matches could offer returns at both ends of the field. Sunderland – It’s getting tough to find targets for investment, but there’s little doubt that Saturday’s win should boost the Black Cats over what is a comfortable run-in.

The Lows

Arsenal
With the title challenge de-railed by the Reebok defeat on Sunday, Fantasy Managers now have a conundrum when it comes to the Emirates assets in their squad.

The Gunners certainly don’t have the fixtures to cushion their fall from grace – even the prospects of Robin Van Persie have to be assessed given that he will come up against United next, with the Stoke and Fulham home defences to follow. Only the home fixture with Villa appears to offer hope of strong attacking returns and, with Arsenal’s current form at the Emirates showing just 4 goals in the last 5 matches, you have to question whether that match-up will be exploited to the full.

Newcastle
Alan Pardew’s side have that tricky combination of two in-form sides away from home, with home clashes against teams battling for survival. Trips to Anfield (next) and Stamford Bridge really do promise little, while the home match-ups with Birmingham and West Brom will test the Magpies’ battling qualities.

Fantasy Managers may look to keep faith with Joey Barton and Kevin Nolan but, realistically, Newcastle will need to maximise returns for their two home games if the pair are present any further profits this season.

Fulham
Mark Hughes’ side are in a similar predicament – except their toughest opponents both fall in home matches. While Fulham’s form at the Cottage is strong, should they fail to offer returns against either Liverpool or Arsenal, profits look destined to be pretty scarce given their away form and trips to Sunderland and Fulham – both sides who will be fighting for their lives.

Those who invested in the likes of Bobby Zamora, Clint Dempsey and Brede Hangeland for the double gameweek 34 fixtures, may well need to assess an exit plan following the midweek clash with Bolton.

Also be wary of: Chelsea – form is very much on their side but investment in the charge on the title may well be tempered by two tough away days at Old Trafford and Goodison. Aston Villa – a local derby at the Hawthorns this weekend, followed by a home clash with Wigan looks ok, but Villa end the season at the Emirates and against a rejuvenated Liverpool.

Mark Mark created the beast. He's now looking to tame it.

What is the Press Association oficial data? I think FPL are getting from them. If the give the goal to Cahill, that means no goal for Sturridge which will be wonderful.

P.S. 6% of the players has Cahill. So that won't change much.

I agree. They have done that before though.

I remember I got a nice extra point a couple of years ago when Jermaine Defoe's chip for Pompey vs. Everton crossed the line, then bounced out with Crouch following up to score.

The ref only gave the goal because Crouch put it in, but FPL still gave Defoe the goal.

How clear cut was that though? As in, was it obvious that Defoe's shot had gone over the line, because Cahill's isn't immediately clear.

Yeah, I know, I know. It just shows FPL's willingness to overrule such things.

While I'd rather Cahill got the goal for FPL purposes, I'd thing it's bullshit that they'd go aboe the ref like that. They might as well go ahead and give RvP an extra goal vs. Sp*rs when he was wrongly flagged offside.

Cheers AB, I don't know why, but your advice is always very logical to me. I am no going to bring in Silva for Dempsey and (C) him then bring in Yaya and benefit from Adam vs Stoke this week, and possibly Vela Vs Villa if I have the balls to drop one of my power 7.

Oh yeah, I know, I do find it sad.

I wouldn't do it if my rival didn't have him, the luck he gets is untrue and when I saw that he didn't even touch it it just annoyed me how he has points for it.

I could give you a whole list of his luck, and I will. 😀

                - Got Chamakh auto captain when he scored brace against Wolves
                - Forgot to change his team so got Cahill captain away at City
                - Bought Rory Delap and Phil Neville as his transfers and Delap scores and Neville gets 3 bonus
                - Got two Wolves defenders off the bench when they beat Liverpool 1-0

emailed them myself over Zamora's assist.

this is the reply I got. F**kers.

      Hi there

After careful review, no assist was awarded for this goal. The ball came off the defender, not Zamora.

The Press Association provide all the data for our games, and we will

I've made this point several pages back.

Zamora gets no assist because he was not the last offensive player to touch the ball. He never touched it at all. Not a sniff.

Mmmm I don't know. From what's been given recently it seems to me the deflecting player must make a positive movement with his body e.g. kick/knee/head the ball in order to detract from the attacking player's assist. As opposed to it hitting off him and falling in to the scorer's path. Needs to be rigidly defined for next season.

Sturridge made the breakthrough in the 37th minute. Lee's cross was headed powerfully towards goal by the impressive Cahill and, although Nasri cleared off the line, Sturridge was on hand to head in the ball.

    From PA official site http://www.pressassociation.com/component/pafeeds/2011/04/24/emotional_cohen_downs_gunners_1?camefrom=sport-news

So it is Sturridge goal but I can't understand where they've read that there is no Cahill assist.

cos assists only count when the rebound is a goalkeeper, not a defender. Says so in the rules

There are always exception, like the Nani assist last week when it was headed off the line, and the Silva assist today, when it deflected off the foot of a defender.

The Nani one was counted as a cross. Silva was having a shot at goal possibly.

that is exactly why...Cahill's shot rebounded off a defender so therefore it's not an assist

Similar to why Silva's today is not an assist under the same rules

At least two goals. One being a penalty. To be fair to him, he didn't even get a chance, despite a bright start, City were awful. Constantly passing backwards, no real creativity. Super Mario didn't have a chance.

Wouldn't say that, they just lacked a cutting edge tonight. For some reason they never tried to slide him in through the middle or try an over the top ball. They kept playing it out wide or backwards. Yaya Toure was really bad at linking the midfield and the front man.

the yellow was a joke, it was the timing (just after he'd lost the ball) and the fact it was balotelli that convinced the ref it was a foul. givet knew too how easy it would be to get him booked in that situation. he essentially got a yellow card for standing up

when i went to florida in the mid 90s, i came home with a lifesize cardboard cut-out of jordan... it was massive

still have it in me loft

it was interesting trying to package it up for the flight home...

I thought it was pretty decent, some good action scenes and story line actually alright too. Two stunning birds in it too.

Thing that you have to do is stay right till after the credits, its a good 5 min wait and you'll be the last one left but theres a hidden scene.

Should be a nailed on started with Nelsen ruled out for the season. Cheap and picks up bonus points, which is good. However, of Blackburn's last 4, one is at home vs Man Utd and two are away from home - and they've only kept one clean sheet away from home in the league all season.

Bolton at home, ok decent fixture.
West Ham away, no clean sheet imo

But they won't keep clean sheets, West Ham and Wolves will score, especially at home so getting Phil Jones is pointless imo. If you were going to get a Blackburn player I'd get an attacking player, but there is knowone specific to get.

I have Phil Jones and wouldn't advise getting him. He has one decent fixture and has never scored for Blackburn. I'll be looking to sell up soon enough tbh. However, if United have the title won before they visit Ewood they could well keep a CS imo. Prob the best of the cheap options, but still not great. You'll get what you pay for, I'd nearly prefer one of the Liverpool full backs.

If your looking for a cheap defender I'd rather go for a Bolton, West Ham or Birmingham defender than Jones. My preference but I'd bet quite a lot of money those three teams will keep more cleanies than Blackburn from now until the end of the season.

i was all set for adam but his no bps this gameweek has put huge doubts in my mind. the appeal of adam was he could do nothing and get 5 (2+3bps) and if he did anything he would be up to at least 8 due to what seemed like certain baps. i don't think any man city player is reliable enough to captain even home to west ham. still too much hope and not enough expectation for me

because he's up against the defensive-juggernaught and offside-trap master Gael Clichy.

I'm just keeping. I don't see the point in risking it, especially when money shouldn't really be a problem anyway for most on this site. It isn't like we are all trying to cram 3 big hitters into our teams like at previous stages this season, Van Persie is the only really must have out of all the top players at the moment.
