Gameweek 35 gets under-way with five games kicking off shortly. Then it’s over to Stamford Brigde to see if Chelsea can keep up the heat on the league leaders, whereas the visitors will be setting their sights on the other Manchester club for that all-important fourth spot. The Dugout Discussion is up and running, so come in and take a seat if you fancy a chat.

The team sheets from the 3pm games are in, and here they are…

Blackburn XI: Robinson, Salgado, Samba, Phil Jones, Givet, Emerton, Nzonzi, Jermaine Jones, Olsson, Roberts, Mwaruwari

Bolton XI: Bogdan, Robinson, Wheater, Knight, Gardner, Moreno, Cahill, Cohen, Taylor, Elmander, Kevin Davies

It’s the same story for both teams in that they both have strikers missing through injury. Neither Junior Hoilett for Rovers or Daniel Sturridge for Wanderers were passed fit.

Blackpool XI: Gilks, Eardley, Evatt, Baptiste, Crainey, Southern, Adam, Vaughan, Phillips, Taylor-Fletcher, Campbell

Stoke XI: Begovic, Wilkinson, Huth, Shawcross, Wilson, Pennant, Whitehead, Whelan, Delap, Walters, Jones

No surprises in either line-up in what is a must-win game for relegation-threatened Blackpool.

Sunderland XI: Mignolet, Elmohamady, Turner, Onuoha, Bardsley, Henderson, Cattermole, Colback, Muntari, Malbranque, Sessegnon

Fulham XI: Schwarzer, Salcido, Senderos, Hughes, Baird, Kakuta, Murphy, Sidwell, Davies, Zamora, Gudjohnsen

Stephane Sessegnon continues up-front for the home side, but it’s the visitors who make the major changes. Mid-week heroes Clint Dempsey and Brede Hangelaand completely miss out, and there’s a surprise start for Eidur Gudjohnsen.

West Brom XI: Carson, Jara, Meite, Olsson, Shorey, Vela, Scharner, Mulumbu, Morrison, Cox, Odemwingie

Aston Villa XI: Friedel, Walker, Collins, Dunne, Luke Young, Ashley Young, Reo-Coker, Petrov, Downing, Agbonlahor, Bent

As with the game and Bloomfield Road, there are no surprises for either side in the Midlands derby.

Wigan XI: Al Habsi, Boyce, Gary Caldwell, Alcaraz, Figueroa, Diame, Watson, N’Zogbia, McCarthy, Cleverley, Rodallega

Everton XI: Howard, Hibbert, Jagielka, Distin, Baines, Osman, Neville, Rodwell, Arteta, Cahill, Anichebe

Everton finally welcome back their Spanish maestro Mikel Arteta after his long lay-off. Fantasy favourite Seamus Coleman is dropped to the bench however, as is striker Jermain Beckford.

there really is no point thinking in this game sometimes. a few weeks ago all logic says don't pick lampard, at 13mil he's a huge waste of money. so i take the plunge and don't buy him. meanwhile others blindly buy him in pure hope that he can rekindle last season's form despite the formation amongst other factors making that impossible. anyway just intime for the double gameweek the formation changes to a 4-3-3 rewarding those who blindly backed him as he scores agaisnt west brom. then after a poor first half he scores right on half time against west ham, nothing worng with the goal it was a very well worked and finished goal. the issue there was lampard goes on to get 3bps, absolute robbery. more points for the blind backers. then today after another poor first half he gets rewarded with 5 points for a shot straight at the keeper, incredible, and that's ignoring the issue whether it was over the line or not (the linesman didn't get our multiple slow mo replays). the great thing is it will put him in line for more scandlaous bps which he wouldn't be in line for without the gomes howler.
so yeah too much luck involved to waste time thinking about this game. this will read as incredibly bitter, i'm happy with that i chose to write it, the same goes for having lampard top of the watchlist even though the more attacking more in form, 4 mil (yes 4mil!) cheaper malouda is playing more attacking and scoring better. luck > thinking
after an hour of thinking i would never write this post so best get it in quick, well done lampard backers you've had a great dose of luck lately (less so for those who bought lampard after the dgw as they rightly chose him after the formation switch). there's only 1 set of people luckier than you right now and that's lampard captainers.
fin enjoy while i'm clearly not enjoying

      Why do you say "blindly".

Lampard was in the scout picks and did well.

Dempsey was in the scout picks and did well.

Odem was in the scout picks and did well.

Sturridge was in the scout picks and did well.

It is not blind faith, it is backed up by facts, you happening to not pick people does not mean they are less skilled than you.

Listening to savage and the other presenter slag off callers to 606 who are explaining the rules of the game to them, i.e. That if a ref awards a goal, it is a goal, regardless of how many people say "that wasn't a goal". Their chief complaint seems to be that some of the callers haven't seen the incident on TV. And on which BBC channel would it be on then, guys? Dicks.
