not liking baines this season, especially with mirallas stealing his FK's, could still be a good differential but everton will probably need a bit of luck with a penalty or two for it to really work out. i like snoddy, apparently great stats, and is proven to be a good fpl scorer. unfortunately he has a lot of mystery injuries and late withdrawals and norwich are toothless. should be a good option though especially with guaranteed gw 29 fixture.

Agree with you assessment on Baines and I have owned him for much of this season. They've had a lack of quality in the box to finish his crosses - maybe that could change with Traore - but who knows. At his price he's been a massive disappointment. Coleman is way more of a goal threat in open play than Baines has been.

Seems like you will be decent going into this upcoming GW. Olsson can fill in for Evans if he is still out and just play Adam even though not the greatest fixture luck has been on his side recently maybe he gets another absurd deflected goal. Head into gw28 with 2 frees and figure out what needs sorting then.
yep my thinking aswell on all of the above, being on set pieces there is always a chance adam gets something regardless of fixture, lets hope his delivery improves from last gw. 2 frees will obviously be handy and is just the sensible move at this stage.

Hi Dz, doing well in the Europa fantasy game. But I really struggle to get team news and working office hours I cant make transfers before the kick off I have to make them the night before. Do you know of any websites which would have decent, accurate team news of the Europa League matches?
Doesn't seem that such a site dedicated to just Europa League exists. I would guess you'd be best off following twitter feeds / pressers for news of lineups?
That's my problem. The Uefa site is good for team news just before the games start (but I am at work and it is difficult to sneak off and do transfers). Plus the website only works on pcs and not on my phone. I managed to finish work early before the last game week and explained that I needed to finish work early to pick my fantasy team and complete my transfers.
It would just be nice to find a European football site which covered it in detail.

Currently ranked approx. 2100, I have 2FT available for this coming GW but 0 in the bank. I cant see any way of improving my midfield and attack, but have a few issues with defence. Any burning transfers I should be doing?
Only moves I can see would be to drop one of the keepers to a cheaper one, and upgrade Chester.

Benching dilemma at mid every week is a poor allocation of funds. It will do well this week as you can bench Mirallas, but would look to sort that out approaching GW28. Just use one of your transfers to shift Bardsley to a Hammer's defenseman and let the other roll over into next week.

Tough to determine. They are getting healthier at mid so he may be dropping out of favor. Sherwood didn't buy him so he has no reason to "make him work out". He hasn't been terribly influential in their games recently. As HVT said, if I owned him I would be concerned.

If you are going to keep YYT then you may be better off just keeping Janu at the end or your bench and doing Mata to Gerrard. You can always change Gerrard back to Mata when his DGW is approaching in 31. This plan could be completely trashed depending on what happens after this weekend though. Just taking a bit of a piss on Kevin...after this GW they have fantastic fixtures and as Everton seem to be getting a bit healthier he may be a decent shout. He's sharing frees and his form seems to be picking up a bit recently.
Yeah I think I may do that, before the blank Mata > Gerrard looks a good move.

A striker needs to score 2 to get 10 points - granted that would probably become 12/13 with bonus but a lot of the above are only around 6m ish whereas a decent striker outside of Jrod costs 8m plus.
As points per player value defenders are right up there IMO.

What to do with Man City?
On one hand Man City's run from gwk 27 -31 is superb. Great home games and a double in gwk 31.
But a blank in gwk 28 plus a possible blank in gwk 29 certainly takes the shine off of their players.
So how are you planning for the various Man City fixture permutations? To miss out on their key games could be costly. But to over invest could leave you woefully short.
What is the chance that Ade will have a blank in the next couple of weeks?
Avoiding like I have all season outside Aguero & a brief Silva stint. š
I think I may attempt a brief dalliance with Yaya for the first time... Him and Aguero look decent shouts for any double. Although how I'd fit them in I'm not sure... Dropping any of Hazard, Suarez, sturridge or adebayor will be painful!
Their attack is still worth investig in IMO. Currently have Yaya & Silva who have done sod all for me over the last three gameweeks but I am in no hurry to sell. If their are two blanks I will certainly sell one. But I plan on re-investing afterwards. They are fixture proof IMO. Also planning to pick Aguero back up after his return
Double/triple up from GW30 seems wise. 3 DGWs (possibly) in the last 9 GWs for a free-scoring team is a dream.
Seems the answer to this question is largely indicative as to who we already own from City on our rosters as well as who we own from United. If City has a double blank surely there will be a mass exodus from their assets after GW27 since their players are so expensive few will want to keep one on their bench for two straight blanks. If they have a game in GW29, then we may consider keeping one or maybe two on our benches if we can field decent options in their stead for that week with then the prospect of hanging on for the DGW in 31.
Aguero's impending return will also be difficult to sort out. We will all likely want him approaching GW31 but may find it hard to get him into our squads without losing a premium mid option from either City or United. There are a lot of different combinations possible but then we face the risk of how Pelle will rotate in the DGWs as well. Very tricky indeed, good one Jonty.
Have two, I may lose Kolarov depending on his FA Cup performance, bench Yaya. So much will hinge on all the Cup results this weekend and news of any rearranged games that come by Wednesday. I intend to make my transfers about then.

Exactly this. Hart is WAY to expensive to consider. Kompany looks like he may be a good option, and Yaya seems to be also a good shout.
Aguero seems nailed when fit and even if he gets subbed off around 70' in a DGW that is still mint. He seems the most important to have to me and may be a captaincy option to boot.
I'll risk missing a .2 rise for his first week back to make sure he's really ready for full games 60+ minutes I mean.

I think given City's recent dip in form these last couple Pelle will not risk not starting Aguero in the PL once he is fit. I think he will just sub him off around 65' if the game is already in hand. If he wants to finish #1 he needs Aguero on the pitch.

I'd save and you are in good shape with your depth at defense in case Eriksen sees another 0 minutes on the pitch. Would definitely look to get rid of him as a top priority looking out for the future.

Good team. I would keep an eye on Eriksen. He might has lost his place. And a playing fifth midfielder might come in handy anytime. Alex doesn't seem to be one, especially with Dyer and next Michu coming from injuries.

I think this sentiment is overrated with your defensive depth. If your first bench position 4th defender is a nailed starter that is likely just as good as a playing 5th midfielder.
If Eriksen's outlook looks bleak after the next GW I would rather sort him out.
I hope Adebayor scores double figures vs Norwich. Will be a tough game as Man City could score against them. š

Could be. Still playing a bit deep from what I have seen since his return for my liking. Missed their last game though against Sadcastle.
Bentelab playing deeper in midfield gives Paulinho more freedom to attack, but if you want spurs coverage it has to be Ade as long as he`s not partnering Soldado upfront (who kills his game).
It seems Sherwood has realized this after Soldy starting a couple games back but then relegated to the bench against Newcastle. I don't think Spurs attack really needs "coverage" at this point but Paulinho may come into our thinking at the mid-priced midfield options yet.
Have Adebayor so will avoid. Fixtures turn shortly.

He obviously is a very tallented player and it could be that he like Eriksen will benefit from the loss of AVB. I have not seen any of his games since the return so i can't say if he now gets more room to shine but let's hope so cause in Brazil he was great
