Gameweek 27 concludes with three matches that address both title ambitions and relegation concerns.

Liverpool’s credentials as title challengers will come under the spotlight as they clash with Swansea at Anfield. The visitors come into the game potentially leg weary after their fine performance against Napoli in the Europa League on Thursday. In contrast, Brendan Rodgers side will be fresh and looking build on their last two home appearances which has seen them claim nine goals against the Everton and Arsenal defences.

Elsewhere, Newcastle will be looking to stem the tide of three straight defeats without a goal as they face up to Villa at St James’ Park. Paul Lambert’s side will be seeking to come away from the North East with at least a point to consolidate their position outside of the relegation places.

Events then conclude at Carrow Road, with Norwich battling to keep themselves out of the bottom three and hoping to get a result against a Totteham outfit that struck four goals on their last away trip at Newcastle.

    Lost some initiative from 2nd placed player in ML
    I knew Sturridge was a better punt, but went for safety (Suarez C). In the end, rival captained Sturridge. FML moment!

      Unsure yet, hopefully we'll get some re-arranged games confirmations in the next week.

      I'm tempted to play it this week as my team's in a mess due to injuries/blanks and set it up well for 28/29 but I'll probs hold out for the DGW instead as GW29 looks a total write off atm.

    Time to listen to myself and not the rest on here and swap Suarez for Sturridge.

    With the big price difference and Sturridge as the lone upfront forward he offers better value in both price and point haul now.

    65 with bps in regular game and 101 in ultimate, not a bad week all considering. If I'd have had the courage of my Sturridge convictions it'd have been a damned sight better, but I guess that's the same for a number on here.

    Big challenge for everyone is the next 2 gws though and keeping that balance between putting a team out that's capable of scoring points but also not creating unnecessary problems for gw 30.
    At the moment I'm good for 28 and have 8 players for 29 plus 2 FTs to use (1 of which will be taking out Barkley for Huddlestone/Livermore).

    The real problem for me (and I guess most) is going to be the forward line. Sturridge and Suarez out leaves just Ade at the moment, but if you take out one of the SaS then with the lost ££s it's going to be tough getting them back in. Currently I'm eying a Suarez to Rooney switch after next week and then sticking with it for a good run. Sounds like madness.

    Need honest opinion guys:

    I am still in cup and since some GWs, after seeing my rivals team history I knew they would captain their team. Since rest of my team was better on paper, I captained Suarez as well to cut the risk. This strategy has worked well so far in Cup and I am through to the next round

    Now my problem is that if I wasn't in the Cup, I would have definitely captained Sturridge (Gut feeling/ Form/ Position) but I didn't. My ML rival did and have scrapped about 50 points from my lead in February only.

    So, what would you do if my cup rival is again a Suarez captainer next week? Cut the risk and go for Cup or focus on ML/ Overall rank ?

      Depends on your lead - do you think you can still take your mini-league whilst staying competitive in the cup? Rank is nice to have but I guess that's only an issue if you've a target in mind or are right up there amongst the top guys.

      Kol went last night for Ivanovic and I still have Silva and Yaya. No value to lose on either but I am really struggling with replacements. One will have to go and I will probably use other moves to bring in some playing defenders (Bruce and Hudson must go..)
