Bon matin. The penultimate Surgery of the season opens it’s doors before Fantasy Premier League (FPL) talk hibernates to some degree for the summer. But until that dark day dawns on millions of fanatical Fantasy Managers we’ve got plenty left to mull over and, right now, we’re counting down the minutes until FPL locks down for it’s thirty-seventh gameweek.

Mark has given the Watchlist another refresh and also afforded us with his weekly Scout Picks, Johnfinlay took the chance to divulge how the Captain’s Poll has been shaping up this week, Sir Paulos has been plugging away in the Technical Area as he assesses teams fighting for survival while just this morning Big Dunc offers up another cavalcade of Differentials for those needing that slice of different in the last weeks.

So we’ve offered up the weekly Fantasy Football Scout thought process so now all that’s left to do is enter the Saturday Surgery and make those last minute decisions. That and panic.

    I posted this yesterday but still undecided, mainly between N'Zogbia & Sessegnon. Looking for some last gasp advice to sway me! Do I go for:

    N’Zogbia – great form and a nice couple of last fixtures (WHU, sto), may be taken off though if he struggles with his knock. Also have a hunch west ham will win.

    Sessegnon – Playing up front and not in too bad form, very nice fixtures with (WOL, whu). On the downside Sunderland aren’t in cracking form and have nothing to play for.

    Walcott – If and it’s a big if, arsenal rediscover their best form he could easily hit very big – especially with nasri & fabs doubtful. Also has nice fixtures (AVL, ful). Not in good form though.

      I would go Ward. It would be a shame if he starts up front and gets a goal. But then again; I'm selling Luiz, so I might not be the right person to ask...

    Would anybody consider playing Jiranek over Luiz?

    Less likely to keep a CS but I think there is a chance Carlo wants to give Luiz some gametime, and not completely axe him because of his mistakes last weekend. Ancelotti has a habit of transferring defenders midway through games, and I think Luiz and Alex might share the gametime with Alex starting.

    Don't normally do this, but I've panicked over not having any Liverpool cover.

    So should I take out VDV or Silva for Kuyt? I'd like VDV next week, and Silva may not get many minutes on Tuesday, but he could if he takes a back seat today. Arrgghh!!

      If it's a straight choice between SIlva and VDV, I would take out Silva. That being said I took out VDV this week over Silva (contemplating a lat minute 4 pointer on Silva OUT N'Zogbia/Hunt/Valencia IN) but only because I wanted Lampard IN, and it was a straight swap with the money I had.

      I don't think VDV will do an awful lot in the last two games, same I think for Silva.

        Thanks Johnny, that's useful. To be honest I could live with dropping either, but there are so few good fixtures next week I'm sure I'd want VDV for that, so I guess Silva out makes the most sense. Just feels wrong to lose him when he's got a good home fixture (rotation risk aside). But surely less of a risk than not having Pool cover when they're so on fire.
