City looked to shut up shop a bit in the second half v Palace, if they go 2-3 up v Everton or Villa, may see more of the same. United should be attacking til the final whistle I'd imagine.
Fixtures fall slightly in Rooney's favour, though Aguero has an outstanding record v top teams (better than v lower teams in fact). Rooney still slightly ahead here though.
RVP and Silva returning could impact poorly on Rooney and positively on Aguero. A few times this season Rooney and RVP have been quite poor together, but a lot of that was due to confusion over roles, Giggs should have this sorted, back to last season's understanding ideally. Silva adds a lot more creativity to City, and is constantly linking with Aguero.
Form is hard to judge with both being recently injured, but I'd say Aguero is playing better of the 2.
In terms of what they have to play for, United are hurting and that 7th spot won't be a deterrence to their effort imo.
As you can see its a fairly tricky choice. I think logic slightly favours Rooney, but I'm leaning more towards Aguero for his sheer brilliance and bigger potential to explodeOpen Controls
