We delve into the Gameweek 36 data this evening after Arsenal’s clash with Newcastle drew the line under another round of matches. With the double Gameweek fast approaching, we cast any eye over some standout performers from City, United, Sunderland and West Brom, whilst we also analyse a couple of popular Fantasy protagonists whose recent droughts are persuading many owners to part company:

Which looks better for last 2GW.

    A:) Cahill & Sterling > Demi & YAYA
    Mannone [Davies]
    Azpi Demi Chester[Pieters Ward]
    Ramsey Eriksen Mata Yaya [Davis]
    Suarez Aguero Rooney

    B:) Pieters & Eriksen > Demi & YAYA
    Mannone [Davies]
    Azpi Demi Cahill Chester [Ward]
    Ramsey Mata Yaya [Sterling Davis]
    Suarez Aguero Rooney

A:) Would mean i would play Eriksen in both.

B:) Would mean i play Sterling in last against N'Castle

I have been set on A all week but am starting to thin dropping Cahill maybe nuts.
Cant bring Yaya in on his now 0.1 short. But wasnt confident doing early with slight fear over groin. Plus really want demi for last two.

    Thanks for any advice

      Cahill > Eriksen week 37
      Sterling = Eriksen week 38

      B is better

If i went with B I could always Swap Mata > Sterling with my FT

Giving me a midfield of Eriksen [AVL] Sterling [NEW] Yaya [WHM] Ramsey [nor]
with two chelsea defenders & a city defender for last GW

I assume you mean A as you would already have Sterling under B?

Presumably with B you could also then swap Mata for Erik with your FT for the and still have Cahill over Eriksen this week and the same team as you suggested next week.

Probably better uses of your FT week 38 either way mind you, I'm thinking Rooney > Sturridge with mine

Rumours in the Dutch press this morning of Laudrup or Martinez being possible replacements if de Boer leaves Ajax. Both are friends of Cruijff. Hopefully de Boer stays tho as Tottenham is still a step down.

No but a club's revenue is a strong indicator of its ability to cover costs including higher manager wages. Eriksen also decided to 'step down' last year I noticed.

the manager may get a higher wage but we don't know that.

Yes, that's true, he did, as did Vertonghen. I supposed they were sold on the club's great future and CL football. What has actually happened is that they have played in a poorer football playing team and been in the EL. I guess Tottenham will just be another stepping stone for them tho

Tough call, Mutch has a good fixture this week, but Evra has 2 decent fixtures.. I wouldn't bank on an Evra assist, and if Evra is rested then its a disaster.. But he could get nearly 20 points if he has a great week...

Evra is more risk, but potentially higher reward.

    1) Punch, Baines and Coleman -> Mata, Demi and Alonso (-12)

    2) Eriksen and Baines -> Mata and 5.8 defender (-8)

    3) Eriksen, Baines and Coleman -> Demi, Evra and Mata (-12)

Hmm... Eriksen might do well this week, might not be the best idea to take a hit to ship him.

Baines is an interesting one because Everton are City's bogey team (after Sunderland 😉 ) and Everton might actually do well vs City, but you'd probably expect City to score.

Baines -> Evra for -4 and keep Eriksen maybe? :/ Its a tough one mate!

Yes he could, but I believe going into the DGW with no Mata or Nasri would be scary.

I've got both Baines and Coleman, need to ship at least one of them, probably Baines for more cash to upgrade elsewhere.

Dont know what to do with this team really. Cast-ML is pretty much won (85 points ahead).
    Overall rank 6002.

    Hart
Baker - Kos - Cahill (Chester, McCartney)
Nasri - Mata - Eriksen - Ramsey (Delph)
    Suarez - Aguero - Rooney
    1.0 ITB

Was thinking of doing McCartney - Rio/Smalling/Evans (Max 5.0) and bench Baker. Not too sure about Rio tho, will he even play 2-3 more games this season?
Dont think I can get Yaya in without taking too many hits.

Is anyone captaining a City player (Yaya or Kun) this week?

They are the team with everything to play for. They are up against an Everton side with injuries who have little left to go for, followed by a Villa side with a leaky defence.

Rooney is obviously the majority choice, but he can very easily slip into a deeper role (as he did last week when Mata came on), and Giggs or not, United have nothing on the line and the Sunderland game in particular could be tricky.

Yeah maybe. My problem with Kun is:

              1. His hammy(he hasn't played 90 min in PL since 7 Dec 2013)
              2. How fit is Silva

It seems a lot of hope is being put on Kun demolishing Villa(H).

I agree - see my comment below.

He just seems to have lost that x-factor in his game and as I've said below its totally understandable but now it seems unlikely that he's willing to go on the runs he used to beating defenders with ease, in case he pulls it again.

The only thing that worries me about Aguero is that he seems to be playing with the WC in mind and it looks to be affecting his performances as he is an explosive player and without that explosiveness in his game he is not as dangerous. I can understand as the last thing he wants to do is miss the WC but I hope I'm wrong and he has been finding his fitness these last few games.

It's a tough one. What if the old" ManU turn up vs hull and it's a boring 2 - 0 and Rvp(and not Rooney) is in on the act? Even Mata or welbeck?

Then Sunderland...all to play for...I doubt that will be high scoring.

On the other side, City up in a tough fixt vs Eve. Villa on the other hand should be 4 or 5 nil. Who says Kun gets more than 60min?

Villa beat Chelsea and Arsenal and drew at Anfield.. They'll need to win something to survive the drop.. You never know 😉 nah I'm only being devil's advocate..

I'm currently on Yaya. Think he's safer than Kun and a bit of a differential (C) pick.

Rooney I'm just glad to have in my team, anything could happen with United, although if I had to choose between him and Kun it would probably be Rooney.

After a 100 point catch up, I am just 14 points behind my rival. From looking at ours teams below for this DGW, what do you guys think my chances are?:

    My team (-8) 7 DGWers:

    Mannone
    Demichelis / Ferdinand / Azpi
    Nasri / Mata / Ramsey / Eriken
    Rooney / Aguero / Suarez

    Rivals team (-4) 5 DGWers:

    Krul
    Jones / Fonte / Azpi
    Toure / Mata / Ramsey / Barkley
    Dzeko / Aguero / Suarez

He told me that he brought in Toure and ive guessed his 2nd transfer is a UTD defender

No. One assist for Podolski may well mean he gets more points than either of them
