The newly release Season Ticker fixture analysis tool has now been refreshed with a couple of bug fixes and the default team ratings have been updated.

Fixture difficulties and cell colours on the free Next Six Ticker are updated, while our Members can utilise new default ratings for the “Overall”, “Attacking” and “Clean Sheet” filters. So, if you’ve run through some early analysis of the fixtures released on Friday, you may want to refer back to your tickers on the frontpage sidebar.

We’ve also released a new video which previews the features of the Members ticker for those looking to get a better view of what this tool can offer – the Members’ Ticker being just one of the benefits of signing up for next season…

The following bug fixes were applied to the Members’ Ticker…

  • Fixed a bug where team ratings were not updating in real-time in ticker in some browsers.
  • Fixed a bug where the export text file failed to reflect edited team ratings
  • Fixed a bug where rollover display of difficulty was returning the wrong value.

We will bringing our Members some in-depth analysis of the fixtures in our first Members only articles of the pre-season later this week.

If you’re yet to sign-up and want to know more on the features included in the Members Ticker, we’ve created a brand new video offering a glimpse of what’s on offer.

This will be the first of several video previews demonstrating the features on offer in our Members area so, if you fancy getting news of these in future, you can now subscribe to our fancy YouTube channel.

Memberships for the 2011/12 Season are now available for a pre-season “Early Bird” price of £12.50.

Existing registered users can upgrade to a Member via this link. Those users yet to register can register as Members via this link. All payments are handled via Paypal.

Get more information on the benefits of being a Member right here.

Mark Mark created the beast. He's now looking to tame it.

          FIRST SET
          Rezai 3-6 Serena

I havent bet much on tennis before and dont know how the handicap applied. :/ I am assuming backing -5.5 doesnt mean you'd expect her to win the 1st set 6-0, were the odds pretty high?

It may be 5.5 over the Match so right now you've got 3 so if she wins 6-3 6-2 6-1 6-0 in the second you should win. thats my thoughts anyway

If you got it at evens i am assuming its the combined scores so if Rezai gets 4 sets you want her to win 6-4 then lose 6-1 or 6-0 in the third.

Also have the biggest debt and their owners are in trouble so i read few months ago

Part of problem with Rafa there was they want to reduce wages, not buy as many players as previous regimes which caused obvious frictions as this was relayed after contracts were signed.

They lost something like i/4 billion in last 15 years all accepted by owners who want to become properly run.

Watched a Farelley (sp.?) Brothers film the other day called "Hall Pass." Absolute gash, but in a scene towards the end, one of the protagonists promises his wife he will give up fantasy football next season. At which point mine gave me an almighty dig in the ribs.

But come on, it's like promising the missus you're going to give up drinking, or looking at beautiful women. Cannot be done.

      Haha, like it RD.
I, too, watched that film in the cinema with the wife and it truly was one of the worst I've ever, ever seen...really terrible attempt at a funny movie.
The Aussie chick was totally stunning tho (I got the dig in the ribs during the scene where she whips off her top...I was drooling into the popcorn)

Yup this. I wouldn't be surprised if Jones, De Gea and Young were the only transfers this summer, and that's still approaching £50m. Anderson, Cleverley, Carrick, Fletcher, Giggs can all still play in the midfield and there is Pogba and Tunners coming through.

Giving the assistant a shot as boss is a tactic that seldom works.

Of course it is. But Smith started his 9 in a row after being souness' number 2. Admittedly not a big shoes to follow. But no1 could step up to the plate at Ibrox the now and I feel hes the best man for the job.

With the Souness/Smith thing, Smith was the brains behind the operation, so could step in - much in the some way Jogy Loew easily took over from Klinsmann for Germany.

With Smith and McCoist now, its the reverse - Smith is the master, McCoist is the apprentice. A better manager than him, and I'd back rangers to win the SPL next season, but I can see him messing things around for the sake of it, and it going tits up.

I dont think he will. I still think the master will still be helping from afar. Only time will tell i guess.

See we're demanding £2 million (Dr Evil pinky-to-mouth!!!) for Goodwillie from you guys. Although t'would be sad to see him go, we desperately need to spend some cash on our squad, so I'd grudgingly accept. A centre-back please, Herr Houston.

I know Arsenal's a long shot, just have a feeling...

Celtic only lost it by one point last season - and Rangers are now sans Smith...

        Any other ideas?

Barca to win the CL is 2/1 or was 2/1 I'd back that, there was also chat about Crawley ive still to investigate.

Celtic lost by one point correct. Although they had a squad of of 25 good players, Rangers only had a Squad of 15. Celtic were eliminated at every round of asking in Europe Rangers managed to finish 3rd in their group and then progressed the Europa league. Rangers played the majority of their gqames last year with a 41 year old at centre half.

It would've been very different had Samaras not missed that penalty.

              "McGregor svaed that penalty"

Of course it would have. From my seat it was never a penalty in the first place but these things happen. You cant single out an event throughout the season and say if this happened it would be different. Celtic should have won the league last year with their squad and backing. Ranger lost their top goal scorer before the season started tehn their current top goal scorer in January and still managed to thriuph over a strong side under poor management

Aye, just saying had that gone in even Smith wouldnt have been able to oust Celtic, so I don't think McCoist will be able to.

If rangers get the backing that they are promised then I think they will be a much a stronger force next season regardless who is in charge.

They have only been promised 5m a year for the next four years (and the ousted rangers directors were publicly doubting the new owner would actually be able to raise even this much) KoL which is hardly going to buy one top player and pay his wages.

Rangers will really struggle under Coisty to play with the defensive will (and organisation) required to do what they have done over the last couple of seasons imo and cash (as has been proved at Celtic) does not guarantee success.

Ps what they have done over the last few seasons has been immense with such a small squad but I tend to agree with MF on their chances for next year with Coisty.

Does anyone think the Copa America will have the same effect on the top SA players as the world cup did last season? It could be a consideration as it runs from July 1st to July 24th which does not leave much time for a break for these top players or much time to get a good pre-season either (only 18 days between the end of one tourney and the start of the epl).

definitely worth the consideration. will probably take it out of midfielders and full backs the most, the likes of Luiz shouldn't be as badly affected

KoL you still about? Crawley have to announce who their owners are either this week or next, not sure which. That should then give everyone a better idea about them.
