Season Tickers Updated – Preview Video Released

The newly release Season Ticker fixture analysis tool has now been refreshed with a couple of bug fixes and the default team ratings have been updated.

Fixture difficulties and cell colours on the free Next Six Ticker are updated, while our Members can utilise new default ratings for the “Overallâ€, “Attacking†and “Clean Sheet†filters. So, if you’ve run through some early analysis of the fixtures released on Friday, you may want to refer back to your tickers on the frontpage sidebar.

We’ve also released a new video which previews the features of the Members ticker for those looking to get a better view of what this tool can offer – the Members’ Ticker being just one of the benefits of signing up for next season…

The following bug fixes were applied to the Members’ Ticker…

  • Fixed a bug where team ratings were not updating in real-time in ticker in some browsers.
  • Fixed a bug where the export text file failed to reflect edited team ratings
  • Fixed a bug where rollover display of difficulty was returning the wrong value.

We will bringing our Members some in-depth analysis of the fixtures in our first Members only articles of the pre-season later this week.

    FFU21 woes... For reasons I can't explain, although probably pointlessly chasing price rises I transferred mata out and sturridge out before gw3, got adrian in but the whole thing was for a hit, also got rid of sigthorson meaning I lost out on about 30 points, did the maths and would have been 14th or so by doing nothing... Instead am 200ish and having to waste transfers to get mata back in, jorgrson out after one match... Utter rubbish, role on FPL 201

        No, I have my annual leave which I can take when I want, but I've also been working my bollocks off all year so I've got over 100 hours of time in lieu saved up so they said that since it's a quiet week I may as well take a few days off. I could sit in work if I wanted to, but I'd rather sit at home and get paid for it 😀

              Maybe, but not a no-brainer, the only Man U attacker to really consider is Rooney. There are better forward choices than Chicha anyway- if his price really is gonna be something like 9m, Bent over Chicha anyday (main goalscorer, pens)

    Welbeck in Berbatov out.

    Not sure I like that, what if Rooney gets injured next year? Suppose thats where Ashley Young becomes useful, but still Im not sure they can lnik up half as well as Rooney and Chicharito does.

    I'll be slightly worried if we don't sign another striker before the end of the window.

      football works better if you have a 3rd choice striker who can accept he's 3rd choice, like welbeck. it's a crap dilemma and relies largely on luck but it's the cheapest least problematic way around it imo. it's like if arsenal buy a load of top attacking players and rvp stays fit, then they'll look stupid

        Yeah, that U-21 line-up isn't what I'm hearing so far. The Swiss source hasn't confirmed the team as yet, but basically Goal.com have got two players (and the formation) wrong.

    Yep I had a terrible season finishing approx 514k but IF I`d made the perfect choices I would`ve picked up a further 296 more points leaving me with a decent rank of around 7k . Yes I made bad decisions with only 5 perfect GW`s based on my squad .

    So remember if you had a half decent 2010/11 you probably could`ve won the whole thing with better (c) & bench choices .

      It's impossible to make perfect captain choices very often, most players get point hauls when you don't really expect it from them. I mean you expect it from them at some point, but you never know which game a certain player will be on fire. It's much more important to have a decent team overall, players which you think will eventually score most in the long-term. Correct captain choice is just 1/12 of your score...

        I understand your point totally !
        But all I was doing was showing the potential of your final tally IF you were really FLUKEY . But generally most managers would have easily 50-100 points dropped over the season with a slight bit of tweeking .
        Trust me I was rather flukey in 2008/09 !!

      Personally, I've a very sneaky suspicion that the Czechs will edge out Switzerland 1-0. Group B was a much better heat than group A and the Swiss might be a touch overated. So, in my admittedly uninformed opinion, there's too many Swiss in there.

          I'm still here 😉 Not for long though...

          Anyways, I'm going to try and play the form game this year. I was WAY to fixture orientated last season. Obviously I will start with Chelsea players because of there lovely run, but for the most of it. I will get players who are just hitting form. So basically, jumping on every bandwagon when someone gets a nice score. As much as it is nice to jump on a bandwagon just b4 someone kicks into action, it is a very hard task. N'Zogbia was one I did it with at the start of last season. And Dempsey for the DGW. But then I got players who were off form too much. I.E: Torres, Fabregas.
