With so many of you seeking advice on their teams before August 16, we thought it would prudent to run a daily community article to provide a dedicated focus for “Rate My Team” (RMT) requests.

Each day ahead of the new season, we’ll select one of the Fantasy Football Scout team and post up their own RMT request to open up discussion and encourage others to post their own. We’ll turn the comments over to you to provide a useful place for those seeking advice and highlight some of the key decisions under deliberation.

Please nudge those posting RMTs in other articles to visit this daily RMT article. Also, when posting requests, please remember to be courteous to those who take the time to help out. Equally, if you’re an experienced Fantasy manager with some views on initial line-ups, take time out to dip in and contribute – the Fantasy Football Scout team will be doing their upmost to offer their feedback as the discussion develops throughout the day.

The next up is our fixtures specialist Roscola.

Begovic – (Gilks)
Azpilicueta – Evans – van Aanholt – (Wisdom – Bartley)
Mata – Fabregas – Ramsey – Sterling – Sigurdsson
Rooney – Costa – (Zamora)

Roscola admits his team has a major flaw in that it is potentially benchless. He says though that he’s happy for QPR striker Bobby Zamora never to play, because this is a 3-5-2 that reverts to four at the back for first sub. He believes that there are more points available in the budget bracket in defence than further upfield. Sticking with this basic strategy he is looking for advice to find extra funds to invest in his bench. Downgrading Chelsea’s Cesc Fabregas to Manchester City’s Samir Nasri is one option he is considering.

Feel free to get stuck in with your feedback. We look forward to scanning your RMTs throughout the day on this article.

    Begovic (Gilks)
    Luis Cahill Evans (Wisdom Hutton)
    Sanchez Mata Eriksen Fabregas (Isgrove)
    Rooney Jovetic Bojan

RMT please, much appreciated! Costa needed instead of a second Chelsea defender? And if so Eriksen to Hendo/Siggy maybe?

    RMT please:

Main points being Chambers to be dropped as soon as Mertesacker is back and by then know who's a good 4.5mi or even 4 mil option
Caulker and Mutch for the start of the season
Bojan's a Punt but I usually start the season with about 3 or 4 punts and have tried to be more disciplined having found this site

    Begovic; Guzan
van Aanholt; Clyne; Caulker; Chambers; Debuchy
    Eriksen; Mata; Coutinho; Ramsey; Mutch
    Rooney; Diego Costa; Bojan

Got zero replies earlier so please excuse a re-post!

    Begovic
    Evans/Debuchy/Baird
    Ramsey/Hazard//Mata/Sterling
    Costa/Rooney/Austin

    Subs- Elliot/Moore/Hutton/Marney

    My general thoughts/reasoning-
-3x4.0 defenders is poor i know
-Happy for Debuchy to later become a 4.5 (Marriappa)and use then money to upgrade Moore to Collins or Stoke 4.5 if they nail a spot down.
    -Sterling could be Eriksson
    - Moore could be Bruce
    -Marney could be Isgrove

    Any thoughts welcome

Trade question. Terry/Dzeko or O'Shea/Costa? Sunderland has had a good preseason with a few clean sheets, a 5-1 win and only a 1-0 loss. The defense seems strong so i thought O'Shea is not a bad option. Terry is obviously stronger, but i would have to drop Costa to get him. Thoughts?

    Need some RMT advice...

    Currently stuck between two teams:

    A) Krul Mannone
    Cahil Vert Evans (Colocinni Moore)
    Sanchez Hendo Young Eriksen Hazard
    Dzeko Rooney (Bojan)

    B) Krul Mannone
    Cahil Vert Kompany (Bruce Moore)
    Ramsey Hendo Young Eriksen (Siggy)
    Dzeko Rooney Costa

So A or B? Also am I going too heavy on defence early on? I think clean sheets are harder to come by early on, but plan is to have plenty of options to downgrade in defence for bandwagons...

Any other pearls of wisdom appreciated!

    RMT:

    Pantilimon or Mannone (Krul)

Lovren / Evans / Caulker (Bartley / Hutton)

Fabregas / Sterling / Ramsey / Young (Sigurdsson)

    Rooney / Costa / Jovetic

Foolish for picking Young and Jovetic? Probably, but it'd be a short-term punt.

Haven't seen much in the way of Spurs pre-season.

Is there any good indication what the CB pairing will be, I presume it will be it Vertonghen +

but is there a chance Vertonghen might be end up at LB early doors? -Rose is terrible and Davies might need a lead in.

    Cheers

Shockingly Rose has had a good pre-season. I want him as far away from Spurs as possible but wouldn't surprise me if he starts the season at LB and Davies is eased in.

Dier played well against Schalke but would be shocked if he starts. I think it will be Vertonghen and Kaboul to begin with, hopefully with Musacchio to join. Worth remembering Vert hasn't really had a pre-season as well. Kaboul safest bet to begin with probably, but I'm going with Vertonghen.

It's that 6.0 price tag for me which makes me say no to Vert.

With Poch liking the high tempo pressing could it be with a short pre-season Vert misses the "easier" first 2 games to be ready for the LIV home game?

Potentially, but then you're looking towards Dawson - who seems unequipped for a high-tempo pressing game regardless of how long a pre-season he has. Still think Vert will start, with Fryers/Dier ready to come on after 70 mins if the match is all but won.

6.0 price tag is also due to his goal threat remember, and with a full season of Eriksen set-pieces that could be a massive factor.

I agree with the Dawson view even if he managed to get a lot of game time last season (even under AVB), it's the proven sticker that comes with him and the comfort of that I guess might give him game time early on.

I reckon Poch has to/should be staying with MAN U and CHE over the first 12 GW's, he can't have an AVB style start, he'd get crucified.

The 6.0 is still a sticking point but worth a further shuffle around.

            Thanks.

Chester will never play so downgrade to a 4.0, i'd also go Debuchy > Huth to save another 0.5.

I just managed to get this team, but it meant dropping Mata and De Gea 🙁

                Mannone
                Chambers, Jones, Cahill
                Siggy, Ramsey, Fabregas, Coutinho/Eriksen
                Costa, Giroud, Rooney

                Subs: Krul, Rodwell, Wisdom, Hutton

This has a lot of stripes on the bench!

    Foster (Krul)

Debuchy Lovren Jones (Cameron) (Van Aanholt)

    Sterling Ramsey Silva Eriksen (Isgrove)

    Rooney (C) Bojan Costa (VC)

    - Cameron is my only worry but his stats with the new BPS system are so good so i'm risking it.
    - Isgrove is a punt but he won't play much with my midfield four.

I am going out for a swim, and a bit of rowing. So when I come back, I expect this RMT to have the most replies ever.

    DDG - Gilks
    Cahill - Ward - Wisdom - Bruce - Bartley
    Ramsey - Mata - Eriksen - Siggy - Tadic
    Sturridge - Rooney - Bojan
    ---------------------------------------------------------
I am set on having Sturridge and Rooney, defo not bringing in Costa, as I think he'll "flop"
Bit worried about the defense, and thinking I maybe should downgrade Tadic, and then upgrade the defense?
Other constants I want in my team and have been there since the 1st draft is: Eriksen, Siggy, Ward.
So play all you want with my team, just don't remove Eriksen, Siggy, Rooney, Sturridge, Ward 🙂

    Thanks! 😀 🙂

Bartley isn't nailed on. Amat is there to replace Chico.
Rest fine, Chelsea attacker is lacking.

    A) Fabregas & Albrighton
    B) Lamela/Eriksen & Mutch

    Worried about Fabregas playing deep

Tbh like my team... Only consideration downgrading Davies to a 4.5,
Then upgrading siggy to eriksen and hendo to 4.5?

    Krul / foster

    Cahill / b. Davies / oshea / Vlaar / Moore

    Mata / hazard / Rambo / hendo / siggy

    Costa / Rooney / bojan

A few question marks but for the 1st 7 GW this is what I looking at:

    De Gea

    Huth - Kaboul - Baird

    Sidwell - Mata - Fábregas - Hazard

Diego Costa - Rooney - Jovetic

    SUBS

    Gilks - Ward - Taylor - Albrighton

I'm tempted to change Sidwell to Davies (SOU) and Jovetic to one of either Ade or Soldado. What do you think?

The defence rotates reasonably over the same period but any comments would be appreciated.

I understand why but having Fab, Haz, and Costa is too risky imo, not when there any loads of other options in that price range. I'd change one for an Arsenal mid and think again about Kaboul

It's the lure of those opening fixtures, I think Hazard is the risk. If I get wind of anything then it will be a TOT mid in and Kaboul for Cahill. I was asking about TOT DEF earlier and one of the Spurs fans reckons it's likely to be Kaboul and Vert.

As for ARS I see it but I have a doubt lingering over the Besiktas CL games and then the games away from home, the home games are pretty terrible as well; from GW8 I'll be all over them.

Does anybody fancy Newcastle's Rivière or is Pelle a better option?
