With so many of you seeking advice on their teams before August 16, we thought it would prudent to run a daily community article to provide a dedicated focus for “Rate My Team” (RMT) requests.

Each day ahead of the new season, we’ll select one of the Fantasy Football Scout team and post up their own RMT request to open up discussion and encourage others to post their own. We’ll turn the comments over to you to provide a useful place for those seeking advice and highlight some of the key decisions under deliberation.

Please nudge those posting RMTs in other articles to visit this daily RMT article. Also, when posting requests, please remember to be courteous to those who take the time to help out. Equally, if you’re an experienced Fantasy manager with some views on initial line-ups, take time out to dip in and contribute – the Fantasy Football Scout team will be doing their upmost to offer their feedback as the discussion develops throughout the day.

The next up is our fixtures specialist Roscola.

Begovic – (Gilks)
Azpilicueta – Evans – van Aanholt – (Wisdom – Bartley)
Mata – Fabregas – Ramsey – Sterling – Sigurdsson
Rooney – Costa – (Zamora)

Roscola admits his team has a major flaw in that it is potentially benchless. He says though that he’s happy for QPR striker Bobby Zamora never to play, because this is a 3-5-2 that reverts to four at the back for first sub. He believes that there are more points available in the budget bracket in defence than further upfield. Sticking with this basic strategy he is looking for advice to find extra funds to invest in his bench. Downgrading Chelsea’s Cesc Fabregas to Manchester City’s Samir Nasri is one option he is considering.

  Personally don't like non playing keepers. Remember Newcastle have only kept 15 clean sheets in last two seasons.
  
  I wouldn't double up on CHE mid, there first 10 aren't that good, surely Mata is a better option?

  I don't find value in Sturridge tbh, 11.5M is way too much. I'd rather downgrade to Costa/Dzeko/Giroud and upgrade Hendo & 4M defender

Hello!

This is where I'm atm:

DDG - Gilks
Luis - Ward - PvA - Collocini - Wisdom
Alexis - Mata - Fabregas - Siggy - Albrighton
Rooney - Dzeko - Giroud

I could go for Alexis + Giroud ➡ Ramsey + Costa, but I'd need to find another 0.5M somewhere else yet.
Is it worth it? If so, where to downgrade?

  Or downgrade Luis to Debuchy or Lovren and keep Cesc, but Sterling is a greaf choice too. Its not certain yet if Luis will get a start every game ahead of Azpilicueta.

Can anyone help on this please? Trade question. Terry/Dzeko or O'Shea/Costa? Sunderland has had a good preseason with a few clean sheets, a 5-1 win and only a 1-0 loss. The defense seems strong so i thought O'Shea is not a bad option. Terry is obviously stronger, but i would have to drop Costa to get him. Thoughts?

  I like the strikers (same as mine). Your midfield is also quite similar with the exception of Ramsey vs. Mata. Mata has some better fixtures ahead. Cameron isn't nailed as far as I know. I like Van Aanholt and Debuchy. Jones is a good call. Not too imppressed with the Foster (Krul). Lovren will have tough fixtures ahead as well. All in all, get a MANU Keeper, Defender, or Midfielder and toss in a Chelsea Defender as well.

    I'm not planning on going 3-5-2 for long. Want to get Lukaku GW8/9 and will downgrade one of the mids to get him. I like how much more solid the defense becomes with 3-5-2 and think that Sterling + the extra money in defence will out-do Sturridge or another striker

  Would probably get Green instead of Foster, don't see many WBA clean sheets, although not sure on the rotation with Newcastle.
  Cameron is a risk and so is Young.

Very happy with this apart from Zamora but happy to bench him every week and eventually downgrade one of the 5 mids and upgrade him to Giroud/Dzeko/Bony/Lukaku when one of them starts producing the goods....
Really think QPR have strengthened nicely at the back and their rotation with Crystal Palace works great.

Please now tear apart!

      Most seem to be rotating with their cheap mid that's all.
      
      I think Crouch and Diouf might impact Bojan's game time too. But that's just my gut talking.

  Duff may do better than Bruce... Even if he is a bench warmer in your team I would feel safer with him than Bruce... Be weary of Costa as I feel he will not have an instant impact, I rather focus on a chelsea defender like Cahill instead. if you do change costa to an 8.5 or 9.0 and get Cahill in defense you should have money left over and I would use it to get a better starting goalkeeper

Ok I am ready. My bench worries me but the first 11 are those who bring the pts. I have only top teams members. GW2 planned transfer is Hendo to Siggy.
The team:

Guzan (Given)
P.Jones Chambers Naughton
Mata Hazard Ramsey Fabregas Hendo
Rooney Costa
bench: Zamora Naylor Hutton

Naylor will play GW 2 and 3. Hutton has good GW 2 and 3 if needed.

P.S. I plan to WC early. After GW 3 or 4 most probably...

  I was thinking about Guz/Given but those fixtures make me nervous but with an early WC you can fix it.

  With DDG starting in goals he should do you every week so no need for Mannone in goals in my opinion. I would change for Gilks or Myhill.
  Strong defense once Shaw, Terry and Davies all start. I would have Cahill over Terry
  
  You will have 0.5 left in the bank if you wanna slightly upgrade Bojan to somebody like Austin or whatever you like, If you downgrade O'shea to a 4.0 bench warmer you will have 1.0 left and could get Mata!

  Mannone has a ? around his starter status. If it were me and I'd go with Krul's backup or a different cheap playing keeper.

  Don't love the Barry and Lukaku picks but Lukaku is unpredictable and could do well for you. But I personally would wait on him since fitness and fixtures aren't great in the beginning.

upgrade to Chelski defender after we see more of Chelski back 4
Rotate siggy/hendo/bojan

6m is a lot for a mid to be on bench but compensates the weakness of 3rd 5.5m forward.

any thoughts?
