With so many of you seeking advice on their teams before August 16, we thought it would prudent to run a daily community article to provide a dedicated focus for “Rate My Team” (RMT) requests.

Each day ahead of the new season, we’ll select one of the Fantasy Football Scout team and post up their own RMT request to open up discussion and encourage others to post their own. We’ll turn the comments over to you to provide a useful place for those seeking advice and highlight some of the key decisions under deliberation.

Please nudge those posting RMTs in other articles to visit this daily RMT article. Also, when posting requests, please remember to be courteous to those who take the time to help out. Equally, if you’re an experienced Fantasy manager with some views on initial line-ups, take time out to dip in and contribute – the Fantasy Football Scout team will be doing their upmost to offer their feedback as the discussion develops throughout the day.

The next up is our fixtures specialist Roscola.

Begovic – (Gilks)
Azpilicueta – Evans – van Aanholt – (Wisdom – Bartley)
Mata – Fabregas – Ramsey – Sterling – Sigurdsson
Rooney – Costa – (Zamora)

Roscola admits his team has a major flaw in that it is potentially benchless. He says though that he’s happy for QPR striker Bobby Zamora never to play, because this is a 3-5-2 that reverts to four at the back for first sub. He believes that there are more points available in the budget bracket in defence than further upfield. Sticking with this basic strategy he is looking for advice to find extra funds to invest in his bench. Downgrading Chelsea’s Cesc Fabregas to Manchester City’s Samir Nasri is one option he is considering.

Feel free to get stuck in with your feedback. We look forward to scanning your RMTs throughout the day on this article.

Defence is ropey. Downgrade Johnson to upgrade one of your cheap 3. Or if not then downgrade one of Lovren or Evans to Ward/Caulker who both have good attacking threat and use it get a 4.5 in like Chambers/PvA/Chester

Yep. I think Yoshida is a bit unnecessary and could easily be downgraded. Or downgrade one of DDG/Evans given that you'll have the other one to cover United defence.

    Hi all please RMT

    Begovic (Green)

    Caulker PvA Clyne J.Evans (vlaar)

    Sanchez Mutch Ramsey Gerrard (Ward-Prowse)

    Costa Rooney Bojan

What's your thoughts? I'm not 100% on Sanchez from the off. Maybe swap him with Mata and spend that 1.5 on defence?
    Thanks

Yes IMO. Not convinced by Sigurdsson without watching him for a bit. Swansea may well struggle, we don't know where Siggy will play and he's starting away at United. Sterling on the other hand seems to be on the up and has a great opening fixture.

My first RMT, thanks in advance

    Begovic Myhill

    Evans Chambers Luis Bruce Bartley

    Henderson Mata Fabregas Ramsey Albrighton

    Rooney Costa Jovetic (or Dzeko)

0.5m left in the bank means i can upgrade a defender or even switch Jovetic for Dzeko. I feel Jovetic has played more minutes pre-season though and will be real threat.

I also just this minute switched out Sterling for Henderson, freeing up the cash for the strong third striker. I think cumulatively this will pay off, i'm not convinced on any of the cheap options e.g. Bojan but you may have other ideas!

    Begovic
    Lovren, Evans, Kaboul
    Mata, Hazard, Sterling, Eriksen
    Rooney, Jovetic, Giroud

    Gilks, Duff, Wisdom, Isgrov

I'm pretty confident about Kaboul starting, and he is my favourite CB in the PL. So fast in Fifa.
Jovetic and Giroud is also risky but I think worth it. If they start is impossible for them not to hit big in front of so many genius mid. Until Agüero get fit Jovetic will play, then i might trade him.

      Davies-Cahill-Evans-(Bartley)-(Bruce)
      Eriksen-Young-Nasri-Ramsey-(Marney)
      Jovetic-Rooney-Costa

I like to have 2 okish keepers for when Arsenal play a good tea

I have skimped on the back 4, aside from Cahill, but I'm hoping Pochettinno can make Spurs more solid, and Utd have a run of easy games so Evans seems like a good cheap option

I have taken the (brave) decision to pick Young over Mata. He is way less but has had a v impressive pre season. That enabled me to afford Costa up front rather than the cheaper Bojan.

The way I see it, if you are going to play 3-4-3 you may aswell have 3 good strikers in the side.

      too much in defense.
      foster -> 4.0 +0.5
Davies to 4.0 (Moore, Duff) +1.0
      Hoilett to 4.5 +0.5
DDG to Bego or Fab to Sterling +0.5 (you have chelsea attacking anyway). And you can also do Debuchy to Evans if you keen on Utd defense.

      This gives you extra 2.5
So you can do Bojan to Jovetic.

Yes, but 5.5! Don't kill my dreams. In that case I'd replace him with Mata, but then have to downgrade one of my strikers. Jovetic has had a full summers rest, so I reckon he could be a good shout at 8. Rooney will undoubtedly smash it with those easy fixtures and assured starting spot.

That leaves me with replacing Costa with 7.5 to play with
But that leaves me feeling uneasy given the formation I'm playing and the lack of options at that price.

thats why I like the cheap 3rd striker this year:

Bojan, Austin, Ings, Wickham, Nugent, Pelle should all offer value.

I was feeling Bojan with Stoke's games. Ings aswell has an amazing record but I don't know enough about Burnely to gamble on him. Pelle has a tasty record, If it comes down to it I'll replace Young with Mata, and plump for Pelle. Still though if Young turns out to have a blinder I'll have to spend a good 20 minutes kicking myself in the bollocks next week.

Oh and one last thought. What do you think about replacing Nasri with Sterling/Coutinho? Seeing as I already have Jovetic, mabye it would be sensible to hedge my bets.

Help! RMT (& Some advice please!!)

    GK: Mannone / Myhill

DEF: Vlaar / Felipe Luis / Geoff Cameron

MID: Ramsey / Sanchez / Silva / Hazard / [ALBRIGHTON / EL AHMADI??]

FWD: Rooney / Zarate / [JOVETIC / DZEKO??]

(Planning on bringing Siggy in after GW1)

Also, if I opt for Jovetic over Dzeko I can swap Felipe Luis for a Terry/Cahill?.. Want a Chelsea defender.

    Thanks in advance!!

I believe it´s done, please tell me what do you think:

    Begovic / 4.0

Caulker | Shaw | Neil Taylor | Chambers | Hutton

    Mata | Ramsey | Sterling | Siggurdson | Arnautovic

    Rooney | Sturridge | Fletcher
    _______________________________________________

    After GW1 : Chambers --> Ward

Fletcher is my personal punt, and with Siggy and Arnautovic I can play 3-5-2 or 3-4-3, with no problem.

This is my first draft without any Chelsea player, but the problem is that I am afraid that I would choose the wrong one (Costa vs Hazard vs Fabregas). Hazard would be my pick, but his lack of fitness worries me.

    Please guys, give your feedback.

    Thanks 😀

No need for that much money invested in GK.

Taylor will not play a single game this season.

Taylor from Newcastle? I believe they will play with Janmat - Colo - Willi. - Haidara , until Santon comes back from injury.
