With the summer friendlies coming to an end yesterday evening, we’ve reintroduced the Team News tab to the top of the home page. To begin with, we’ve pencilled in our staring XIs for each club but these, and the team news blurbs, will be constantly updated as the information starts to flow in over the next few days:

Subequently, we’ve taken down the Pre-Season tab on the home page. We will, however, ensure the Pre-Season Guide remains available via this article in order to keep the info readily available for Fantasy managers looking for some last-minute reading ahead of Saturday’s kick-off.

Included are links to every pre-season game that has taken place, all our Scout Reports, Moving Target and Great Expectations articles over the summer and extensive articles on each of the three promoted sides. In addition, we’ve put together a brief “Scout Notes” synopsis of the main areas of concern for all 20 teams. Click here for our Pre-Season Guide.

Finally, we’ve listed the men in form in front of goal over the summer so far – the big question is, who’ll be this year’s Mauro Boselli?

6 goals – Lukas Jutkiewicz
5 goals – Glenn Murray, Stevan Jovetic
4 goals – Yaya Sanogo, Diego Costa, David Nugent, Wayne Rooney, Charlie Austin
3 goals – Marvin Sordell, John Terry, Marouane Chamakh, Fraizer Campbell, Wes Morgan, Aleksandar Kolarov, Ashley Young, Emmanuel Riviere, David Hoilett, Bojan Krkic, Steven Fletcher, Connor Wickham, Erik Lamela, Roberto Soldado

    Is anyone seriously considering Yaya?

Not having him until very late on killed my season last year, and although 11.0 is a very steep price, is he not worth it? Or was last years haul a one-off?

P.s. I don't currently have him in my team!

probably not for me from the start. seriously considering Silva for 2.0 less, not seen him in too many teams though since there are so many great options at his price

        really nice rotation with Palace.

Would like Kelly-Rio for just 9.0 but seems like question marks over game time for both.

Two others players in the video but all quality players and worth the watch.

From my own viewing he seems like a confident wing back with attacking threat and worth a punt at £4.5. The Eredivisie is not quite the Premier League but I'm giving it a crack.

Not a fan but mate who is advised that Sturridge is the No.1 striker. ONly reason he won't play is if injured or being rested for a bigger game that follows. So a big night in Europe on a Tues may mean he misses say Villa (h) on a Sat.

Ok so yer old da's decided to play FPL again this season and fully expecting yet another (italics) top 1000 finish if not higher.

    This season's starting strategy:

    1. Cheap GK pairing with good rotation
    2. 3 from each of Chelsea and Man U given their starts, including 1 Chelsea and 1 Man U defender
    3. The '3 cheap defender strategy' is back once again, with 3 at 4.0m creating budget for a very strong midfield and attack
    4. At all times play 3-4-3 or 3-5-2, meaning 1 cheap defender from 3 for 3rd defensive spot

    Team:

    Krul/Mannone
    Terry/Jones/Hutton/Wisdom/Moore
    Fabregas/Mata/Ramsey/Henderson/Marney
    Rooney/Costa/Giroud

Chester has had his share of injury woes and EL to deal with. Chambers will play but will become a bit of a rotation pain.

Ward nailed on in ultra defensive set up. Moore, well he is what he is, cheap and should play.

Just had a quick look through the line ups:

    1. Highly doubt Azpi will play lb over Luis
    2. Why would Johnson play lb for Pool, am I missing something?
    3. I'm not saying he won't but can someone explain why Hendo wouldn't play in the pivot with Gerrard?
    4. The positioning of City's 4-2-2-2 looks funny, can Silva and Nasri appear wider and the strikers closer together?
    5. United's right winger, James??

      2. Johnson played lb a lot of times when we were missing a natural lb, maybe enriques not fully fit yet. Anyway once moreno gets settled into the team he'll most likely make that lb position his own which could take a few weeks. and manquillo will most likely play on the rb.

      3. BR usually plays a 4-3-3 with two midfielders (henderson and most likely can) floating just above the deepest lying midfielder being a gerrard rather than one CAM in front of two holding.

Thought it would be Cissokho after Enrique (who isn't listed as being injured), but fair enough if it's been done before. Yeah I can understand a 4-3-3 but not so much a 4-2-3-1 with Hendo playing lam

I've settled on a front eight, but still struggles with my defence. Have decided to go for DDG/Gilks. But how to spend the remaining 23.0m?

    5.0 - 4.5 - 4.5 - 4.5 - 4.5

...sems like the best solution. But I still can't wrap my head around which players to choose (or if 5.0/4.5 should be 5.5/4.0).

So far, Ward seems like the safest 5.0 man. Is there much to gain from going up 0.5, given that it would also reduce a 4.5 to a 4.0?

And what about rotation? I don't feel to safe about SUN/NEW rotation, and uncertainity of Cameron makes STO/SWA unpredictable as well. QPR seems risky, but Chester seems quite fine.

    I need some opinions.
