With so many of you seeking advice on their teams before August 16, we thought it would be prudent to run a daily community article to provide a dedicated focus for “Rate My Team” (RMT) requests.

Each day ahead of the new season, we’ll select one of the Fantasy Football Scout team and post up their own RMT request to open up discussion and encourage others to post their own. We’ll turn the comments over to you to provide a useful place for those seeking advice and highlight some of the key decisions under deliberation.

Please nudge those posting RMTs in other articles to visit this daily RMT article. Also, when posting requests, please remember to be courteous to those who take the time to help out. Equally, if you’re an experienced Fantasy manager with some views on initial line-ups, take time out to dip in and contribute – the Fantasy Football Scout team will be doing their upmost to offer their feedback as the discussion develops throughout the day.

Kicking off today’s RMT discussion is Evs.

DDG, Gilks
Ward, Terry, N.Taylor, Wisdom, Bruce.
Ramsey, Mata, Fabregas, Sigurdson, Wanyama
Jovetic, Rooney, Costa.

A Chelsea defender is a must for Evs, should he downgrade Chelsea midfielder Cesc Fabregas to Tottenham’s Christian Eriksen and get a 6m Chelsea defender or downgrade Arsenal’s Alexis Sanchez to his team mate Aaron Ramsey to give himself 6.5m to spend.

Recently Tottenham’s Ben Davies had been ousted from his team, as again uncertainty with Danny Rose continues. Which is the best route into the Tottenham defence? Stevan Jovetic is a short term punt. Who should he replace him with should he fail to cement a place in Manchester City’s starting XI?

Feel free to get stuck in with your feedback. We look forward to scanning your RMTs throughout the day on this article.

For me, as simple as not liking having to rely on one keeper. Much prefer the security of having two to pick from.

Same here, my alternative solution is Ward->Kelly and Eriksen->Sterling. Though it's very hard to choose between the two of them.

You don't think Ferdinand worth it for the 0.5m savings? Could get a 4.5m defender to rotate rather than having to search for a 4.0m option.

Manchester United are ready to listen to offers for Javier Hernandez and Nani, according to reports in Italy.

Juventus are said to be the front-runners for the United pair, who are both reportedly looking to leave Old Trafford due to a lack of playing time.

And now, according to Tuttosport, Louis van Gaal has given the green light for Hernandez and Nani to be sold.

Hernandez may still be used as part of a deal which would see Juve midfielder Arturo Vidal join the Red Devils.

United have been chasing the Chile international all summer and are hoping the inclusion of Hernandez may bolster the chances of a deal being struck.

Sam Allardyce has all but confirmed he has given up hope of signing Sunderland striker Connor Wickham.

The West Ham boss is desperate sign a new forward before the window shuts and launched a £5million bid for the young Englishman.

But that was rejected by the Black Cats, with Gus Poyet revealing on Wednesday he sees the 21-year-old as a key part of his plans.

Now Allardyce has seemingly ended his interest in the former Ipswich youngster by revealing any new striker signings looks certain to come from abroad.

He added: "We¹re waiting for another frontline player who can score a few goals. We are still pursuing that avenue. We will definitely get something done - it¹s looking more like that player will be coming from abroad rather than this country. We¹re still searching high and wide."

Please RMT. Any help is appreciated as I've made whole sale changes to it

    McGregor/Heaton
    Terry, Shawcross, Debuchy (Wisdom, Hutton)
    Mata Ramsay, Sigurdsson, Eriksen (S.Davis)
    Costa, Bojan, Rooney

1.5m ITB which will allow me to do Ramsay -> Sanchez if the bandwagon gets rolling or to use Wisdom/Hutton/ S.Davis/Bojan as bandwagon fodder as necessary.

Are Hutton/Wisdom nailed on? Also, any of Stoke's def apart from Shawcross nailed on? Been convinced to take him instead of Cameron by the community. Prefer a cheaper option with additional cash for bandwagon/Ramsay -> Sanchez with 1m+ ITB

In response to Evs team in the article, at the minute the cheapest way into the Spurs back 4 is Naughton. I'm a Spurs fan and have been looking at our pre season carefully. I'm still not sure about the left back though. Davies is a better player than Rose, but Rose played well against Schalke, and does look like he has better match fitness. My gut instinct tells me Pochettino will play whoever is fittest rather than the big names, so the first choice left back at the minute is uncertain. Naughton though is certain to start at least while Walker is injured.

I'd also recommend Cahill over Terry. I've gone for the former, as I suspect Terry will be rotated more to save him for the big matches. But if you want a cheaper option, go for Luis. I am sure he will start despite the uncertainty surrounding the full back positions. But he is not an attacking full back, so he won't get lots of goals, whereas Cahill will be a menace for set pieces.

My position on Jovetic is that I will trade him for Aguero when he gets back to fitness, but for that you need 4 in the bank which is understandably not an attractive option for everyone. Girioud or Dzeko are similarly priced and more likely to remain in their respective starting 11s.

    RMT:

    Foster (Krul)
    Jones Ward Chester (Wisdom, Moore)
    Hazard Mata Ramsey Henderson (Marney)
    Rooney, Costa, Dzeko.

Dzeko or Jovetic? Jones or Lovren? Thanks.

I'd go with a Chelsea defender rather than Dzeko.

Yeah, unfortunately there are no good downgrade options for Dzeko. Not convinced by Bojan.

Hull have very good opening fixtures
Anyone considering Snoddy over Siggy at the start?
