The Rate My Team Discussion

With so many of you seeking advice on their teams before August 16, we thought it would be prudent to run a daily community article to provide a dedicated focus for “Rate My Team” (RMT) requests.

Each day ahead of the new season, we’ll select one of the Fantasy Football Scout team and post up their own RMT request to open up discussion and encourage others to post their own. We’ll turn the comments over to you to provide a useful place for those seeking advice and highlight some of the key decisions under deliberation.

Please nudge those posting RMTs in other articles to visit this daily RMT article. Also, when posting requests, please remember to be courteous to those who take the time to help out. Equally, if you’re an experienced Fantasy manager with some views on initial line-ups, take time out to dip in and contribute – the Fantasy Football Scout team will be doing their upmost to offer their feedback as the discussion develops throughout the day.

A Chelsea defender is a must for Evs, should he downgrade Chelsea midfielder Cesc Fabregas to Tottenham’s Christian Eriksen and get a 6m Chelsea defender or downgrade Arsenal’s Alexis Sanchez to his team mate Aaron Ramsey to give himself 6.5m to spend.

Recently Tottenham’s Ben Davies had been ousted from his team, as again uncertainty with Danny Rose continues. Which is the best route into the Tottenham defence? Stevan Jovetic is a short term punt. Who should he replace him with should he fail to cement a place in Manchester City’s starting XI?

    I need to finish above my mate this year. I really need to finish above him, or I will have to either kill myself or move abroad. Not sure about having fabregas and hazard. depends where fabregas plays as if he is in the double pivot then he's a bit more of a punt. In saying that, I've watched all of chelsea's pre season, and was at the friendly the other night in which Hazard looked utterly peripheral.

      Chelsea defender instead of Hazard? Good starting fixtures with possibility of a lot of clean sheets, or maybe Jovetic (City Coverage) / Costa over Hazard? Haven't really seen him pre-season so not too sure, but know Costa's put a few in and assisted so maybe he's a better option?

    Pretty happy with this team to be honest. Posting purely for fun but feel free to give assess if you'd like.

    Foster
    PVA/Cahill/Chambers
    Fabregas/Ramsey/Mata/Henderson
    Costa/Rooney/Jovetic

    Krul/Wanyama/Ward/Wisdom

    Reckon all of those are nailed on starters in GW1 with the exception of perhaps Wisdom.

    After GW1 I'll be looking at dropping Henderson for Siggurdson.

    After GW2 I'll be looking to get Chambers out and maybe Kelly in. Perhaps Chester.

    It's hard to plan too far ahead but GW3 will be assessing Jovetic's form and looking to move to another striker. Perhaps downgrade.

    It is admittedly rather template but was just wondering people's thoughts? Any drastic surgery required?

      Maybe trade out Coloccini as you have Krul. If you go with Siggy/Jovetic you could get Ferdinand at 4.5, who should rotate nicely home /away with Terry.
