A new beginning. On the eve of a new campaign, two grumpy middle-aged has-beens gather in a studio to recall the summer’s feast of football and look ahead to another Fantasy season, full of hope.

There’s no frills. No live video cast. No special guests. Just Granville and I, stripped back and almost unplugged.

Don’t let that put you off, though. Even with our limited powers we at least attempt to cut through the issues currently rattling around in the minds of Fantasy managers.

We assess the Old Trafford revolution, the world without Suarez and the merits of the three-man strike force. We slice through the current transfer trends and weigh up matters such as the Sigurdsson/Bojan rotation, Fagregas vs Hazard and the Chelsea back four conundrum. We also manage to warm up with a nice little argument about the Alexis Sanchez bandwagon – the traditional pre-season barney.

Be there at the birth via this link, or witness the new dawn via the handy player below.

Mark Mark created the beast. He's now looking to tame it.

If you want cheap Liverpool, go Henderson. You don't even have to question whether he'll start and he's still only 6

Possibly, we'll start the season with Johnson at right back, Manquillo and Flanagan will be breathing down his neck. Moreno will be first choice left back.

The midfield might be trouble if Mata doesn't do really well. Coutinho < Sterling imo.

      Mata.

I'd always pick a No. 10 over a central/defensive midfielder. Except Ramsey and Yaya because they have a proven track record in that position, which Cesc does not have.

Equally, Mata has a track record in the no 10, only two years ago in a team that finished 3rd he racked up 200 points

Spurs last season had 14 clean sheets, not bad, and they've signed a better left back as well so Vert can play more in the middle plus Poch got the Soton defence working well.

Even if Kaboul becomes vulnerable just switch him to Davies or Rose or Dawson or Chiriches, whoever plays for Spurs, they're all 5m

...and just like that Kaboul popped into my team 😉 Haha! Liked the look very much of Ben Davies but just biding my time with him until I know he's the first choice over Danny Rose. Davies looked pretty tasty going forward for the swans every now and again!

This. Huge value in Spurs DEF this season, I think.

For what its worth Rodders Im going Lamela. I have heard on here that Poch is seemingly building his attack with Lamela 'in the hole'. Give him a few weeks and if not it shouldnt be too difficult to get Eriksen in. Barkley not in my thinking given everton's tough start.

Solid answer Bromhead! It's Eriksens proven EPL class vs Lamela's huge potential! I like Poch's philosophy here though

Eriksen on dead ball duty has swung me to him for now - keeping a close eye on Lamela though!

Anyone think Mangala is a good option for the season ahead?
