With so many of you seeking advice on their teams before August 16, we thought it would be prudent to run a daily community article to provide a dedicated focus for “Rate My Team” (RMT) requests.

Each day ahead of the new season, we’ll select one of the Fantasy Football Scout team and post up their own RMT request to open up discussion and encourage others to post their own. We’ll turn the comments over to you to provide a useful place for those seeking advice and highlight some of the key decisions under deliberation.

Please nudge those posting RMTs in other articles to visit this daily RMT article. Also, when posting requests, please remember to be courteous to those who take the time to help out. Equally, if you’re an experienced Fantasy manager with some views on initial line-ups, take time out to dip in and contribute – the Fantasy Football Scout team will be doing their upmost to offer their feedback as the discussion develops throughout the day.

Kicking off today’s RMT discussion is Evs.

DDG, Gilks
Ward, Terry, N.Taylor, Wisdom, Bruce.
Ramsey, Mata, Fabregas, Sigurdson, Wanyama
Jovetic, Rooney, Costa.

A Chelsea defender is a must for Evs, should he downgrade Chelsea midfielder Cesc Fabregas to Tottenham’s Christian Eriksen and get a 6m Chelsea defender or downgrade Arsenal’s Alexis Sanchez to his team mate Aaron Ramsey to give himself 6.5m to spend.

Recently Tottenham’s Ben Davies had been ousted from his team, as again uncertainty with Danny Rose continues. Which is the best route into the Tottenham defence? Stevan Jovetic is a short term punt. Who should he replace him with should he fail to cement a place in Manchester City’s starting XI?

Feel free to get stuck in with your feedback. We look forward to scanning your RMTs throughout the day on this article.

Maybe downgrade Ward to a 4.5 like PvA since Pulis have left and Palace won't be making as many CS? I would also worry a bit about not having any chelsea defenders, but otherwise, nice team 🙂

Could downgrade Sturridge perhaps, free up a little cash to beef up the defence, rather than solely relying on rotations.

Don't like Lloris pick -> Begovic looks good but a rotate pair would be better - Luis isn't 100% Nailed move him to a 4.5 or 5 to upgrade Dzeko/Bojan or Mids

Pretty settled on mids. Lloris is a gamble I'm willing to take the punt on him, Poch will steady defence (in time) and should be making plenty of saves.
Luis is the only Chelsea Def I'm sold on, there is a question of the Azpi, but will see who gets the nod closer to the date, but need a Chelsea Def.

Can you do no Lloris for the shorter term? Lots of delicious fixtures for DDG, Bego, ...
And maybe stronger striker to accompany Rooney? Dzeko looked like he's facing big fixtures too soon

I would go sturridge do the fact that we know that sturridge can perform in the premier league, even without suarez. That said he is 11.5, a whole 1 more than Costa, however you can always transfer him back to costa at no hit while switching costa to sturridge may force you to make a few more transfers than wanted

I would go for Costa. Sturridge has a couple of horrible fixtures ahead, Costa has "easy" fixtures and seems to have already found his form. You can always transfer Sturridge in by GW4 when his fixtures ease up. 🙂

    Debuchy - Cahill - PvA - (Clyne - Moore)

    Sigurdsson - Eriksen - Mata - Ramsey - (Marney)

    Rooney - Costa - Jovetic

Thank you. Well, I would be more comfortable with Haz ofcourse, but I feel like I would have to downgrade my defense too much to upgrade. Will consider it tho, maybe even transfer out Jovetic for a cheaper striker.

I would maybe try to take Dzeko instead of Jovetic and then trade cline for yoshida to free up that .5 million. Jovetic is obviously in good form however pre season is not the quality of the actual premier league while dzeko has proven himself at that premier league level and is less likely to e rotated once negredo and aguero return.

Ok guys, I'm nervous about not having the Studge in my team, so I've come up with a choice:

    A) Siggurdsson, Sterling & Dzeko (current)

    B) Henderson, Young & Sturridge

The other option is to scrap that (because I'd rather keep Sterling if possible) and choose from:

    A) Cahill, Siggurdsson & Dzeko

    C) 4.0m, Young & Sturridge (this would leave me with 5, 4.5, 4.5, 4.0 & 4.0 in defence - i.e. sh*t, but would give a front line of Ramsey, Mata, Sterling, Rooney, Sturridge, Costa)

I love and hate this game!!

Cheers - maybe you're right... I'm just not convinced by Dzeko either... tough fixtures first few weeks and poor pre-season form of both team and player, and of course Jovetic's form.

I like the first team. I agree with JasonG132 that you are giving up too much to get Sturridge. Liverpool have a touch schedule so I think if you really want him the best time would be to get him after the 4th game week, when Liverpool's schedule opens up a bit.

I'd be carefule of schurlle, willian might start ahead of him and significantly cut into the minutes and production that schurlle would otherwise get. I would also go for a bit more value in goal. Szczesney will rack up a decent amount of points, but he is expensive. I would scale down to someone like Mannone or Foster who have good value and will save you $ which you could then reinvest in the midfield to make it more solid. Cheers!

Thanks for the input - I guess I just looked at Schurrles points per minute return last season and he appeared to be a bargain - but presuming his minutes were low for this very reason? Would Szcz to Begovic and Schurrle to Lamela be good changes? Would mean no Chelsea midfield

Kosc is in yellow (50-50), don't like Yoshida and Ward--after Pulis left
      Brave Pelle punt 🙂

I believe this can be better, you still have time...

Still not locked in, and I'm not sure about Yoshida and Ward myself. But after a bit of time tinkering tonight I need to step away haha.
