Sunday presents two further Premier League encounters with a variety of Fantasy heavy-hitters on show.

Events begin at Anfield, with Liverpool starting life without Luis Suarez with an encounter against a Southampton side ravaged by a summer exodus. It’s a fascinating scenario that’s set to feature an-all start case of assets, including Daniel Sturridge and Raheem Sterling – players burdened by big Fantasy ownership and expectation. The Saints, meanwhile, arrive on Merseyside looking to gel quickly after a flurry of new arrivals under the guidance of new boss, Ronald Koeman.

The day concludes at St James’ Park, as Newcastle host champions City. Manuel Pellegrini will likely field a much-changed side to the XI that suffered a Community Shield reverse against Arsenal. Even so, Fantasy investment in the City ranks has been tempered, with Yaya Toure remaining the top target, finding his way into 20% of Fantasy Premier League squads. Like Southampton, Newcastle present us with an array of new signings to assess, making Sunday a vital opportunity to scout talent.

Mark Mark created the beast. He's now looking to tame it.

Saints look a pretty decent team. Very tough ask to go to Anfield first game with new a overthrown team but they haven't looked too shabby. Would still fancy them for top half this season, with more signings arriving.

With Siggy looking good and never wanting on my bench again, I gotta look at downgrading my 3rd striker so I can add some cash to the defense.

    Begovic, Gilks

    Terry, PVA, Hutton, Bruce, Moore

    Mata, Ramsey, Sterling, Eriksen, Siggy

    Rooney, Costa, Diouf

So, of the budget forwards, who is legit for a lengthy spell as the backup 8th attacker to replace Diouf?

Berahino, Weimann, Naismith (nailed on CAM until Barkley fit?), Ulloa, someone else? should I just go dirt cheap for a 4.5, add 2m to my bank, considering the other 7 attackers should start virtually every week and are not bench material?

    Cheers

    Siggy on my bench 🙁

Pondering the same, but I think Eriksen will do well against QPR so I'm probably going to hold off.

Next game for Pool is v City so no need to rush on the Sterling wagon. For now I'm holding Mata

I sold Hendo for Siggy to catch .3 and the Liv v City game. Might bring him back in for a high priced midfielder, looks a good value this season.

Hard to tell, Saints are pretty tight. Sterling is geting space, but the space is on the wing on this game.

Is Sturridge broken or is he just getting marked out of the game too much?

Tadic looks good. Team still gelling. Nothing to panic about, haven't shamed ourselves. Gardos to strengthen that defence.

    Schneiderlin is off the pace.
