Our first members article of the week delves into the data from the previous round of fixtures. We cast an eye over the displays of Liverpool, as well as Arsenal, Leicester and Southamptonβs new strikers and also analyse a number of favourably priced midfielders from Spurs, Everton and Burnley over the season so far.
I think so - he has been playing well...
Wilson seems to be nailed on, although they've not been the powerhouse defensive unit they have been in the past. I think they'll settle, although they'll never be as solid, and boring, as they were under Tony Pullis.
Bego
PVA, Duff, Naylor
Haz, Rambo, Siggy, Mata
Ade(v), Rooney (c), Costa
Gilks, Marney, Dummett, Clyne
two questions please and thanks DZ
a) Rooney or Adebayor Captain?
b) feels weird but is Clyne best left out?Rooney is safer, Ade more risk - up to you π
you could argue Naylor should be left out, but the home advantage probably gives him the edge...Cheers. Agree on Rooney being safer. Safe Captaincy makes sense to me
And yeah, home ground advantage and I have Siggy, so win-win IF they can keep a clean sheet. Don't see it being 0-0
Rooney for me mate.
I think I'd play Clyne over Naylor. Swansea's underlying defesnive stats aren't too good. Southampton's on the other hand are much better.I also think Clyne has more attacking threat than Naylor.
But up to you, ultimately.Cheers Arvin-bru, Rooney it looks like. Don't think I can play both Clyne and Naylor - so I may go for the chance of a big score and play both Swansea boys. But thanks for being the devil's advocate
Would you call someone stupid if he did Fab > Hazard? Would like some differential and I believe Hazard is going to explode any time soon. He has been amazing just haven't delivered in terms of Fantasy but should do really soon
A bit of a risk but his stats are great and he looks central to everything they do.
I might pick Hazard on a WC but definitely not worth a trade to do it
He is due π I think they are getting closer in price however, so maybe wait - unless you can pick which game he will explode in...
doubt it'll happen against City, so could wait a bit
Watch him explode this weekend. I'm keeping him for the season regardless though as I beleive he will be top scoring mid.
i'd wait til after the City game but long term he's a gun
A) Terry + Schurrle —-> Ivanovic/Baines + Chadli/Mirallas
B) Chester + Schurrle —-> Ivanovic/Baines + Chadli
C) Terry/ Caulker + Schurrle —-> Duff + Di Maria/Sanchez/Other
Thanks πC)AdM
CHeers
I like B with Baines mate. Why? I think you should keep CHE def, even Terry for now. And planning on getting Baines by GW8 myself. Also got rid of Chester this week
Followed closely by C) Caulker and ADM
Thanks mate
Think I might go for C.....will keep Terrry π
D) AdM + Blackett π
I mean, B) Baines πThat's an interesting proposition.......might have a look at that...
C with ADM
Cheers mate
Is there any defender you would justify a -4 to get in for Terry? I already have Baines.
Nope
Same problem, got 1 point from 3 defenders this weekend
Coloccini and Chester need to go
Baines could work out this weekend I thinkHave you transferred Dummett out?
No. I also have Dzeko to deal with, so I might be able to ride Hutton and Wisdom as my third def for a week or two.
Wouldn't be a bad idea to WC, mate. Hutton's fixtures, Wisdom and Krulliot are all issues as well.
Nah, I think a -4 or -8 could probably do the trick, but my defense just didn't turn out the way I had hoped.
Possibly a downgrade for a better fixture this week if it meant you could use your FT on a necessary upgrade elsewhere next week (thus avoiding the hit next week)
Cheers guys. This is a tough one to sort out.
No. I'm racking my brains wondering what to do with JT.
Given form and fixtures, I'm figuring that these defenders are worth some consideration:
Bertrand, Moreno, Clyne, Naylor all mixed in with the 4.0s like Moore, Hutton and possibly a CPL or BUR 4.0-4.5.Naylor for me Jaffalad ... looked really promising against Chelsea, they have good fixtures and are likely to snag a few CSs along the way.
Play Clyne or PVA this week, folks?
I've gone with PVA ahead of Clyne
PVA-tricky
in a 2 horse race swansea more likely to score than burnley.
clyne and PVA both as likely to potentially assist imo + sot +sun both as likely to score against their opposition imo
comprehensive enuff?
Someone smack me, I have the armband on Welbeck.
*slap slap*
One wasn't enough πlast resort? π
could work - he has had lots of chances in both games, about time he finished one...but the risk seems too great....we look awful bad right now, do not captain
I'm already regretting bringing him in, especially considering Peele's heroics and potential. Welbeck is just infuriating to watch. Goal to games ratios don't usually lie. The whole argument about playing out of position only goes so far when you've been playing for a team who dominate offensively.
aston villa to beat arsenal.......
Let's have a little late night captain discussion.
For me, there are 3 options this week: Rooney, Costa and Di Maria
Rooney - The new signings make United look like a team that could turn things around. Blind and Herrera were particularly impressive in their roles this weekend against QPR. With Di Maria providing the pace and guile to break down defenses, I'm thinking Rooney will continue his purple patch against Leicester.
Costa - In blazing form, has a great understanding with Cesc, plays for the best team in the league. However, the Etihad is not an easy place to stroll into and win. Can he continue his hot streak or will Kompany track him out of the game?
Di Maria - Yes, he doesn't look to be much of a threat to score. However, Cesc Fabregas has shown us that you don't need to find the back of the net to be an effective FPL player. Di Maria's form is hard to ignore, especially when you consider the other creative players working around him.
Leaning towards Rooney at the moment, as he has a history of feasting against promoted clubs.di maria or rooney for me
Aguero a great choice as well. Put the armband on Rooney yesterday but as I have AdM as well I'm thinking about putting it back on Kun provided he looks good tomorrow.
Probably Rooney.
I would hardly call his patch a purple one, however... only this time last week he was being transferred out by the thousands and people were slagging him off. One good game, at home, against QPR isn't enough to convince me of United. However, he's proven he's quality at this level and if they roll out the same formation he'll thrive! Those people were nuts.
In hindsight yes ... after a blank against Burnley & Sunderland it seemed like the sensible thing to do!
Not really. Given his record.
It's not his record that's in question though ... United as a unit looked toothless and a shambles. They're back now though, baby!!
Rooney is my 1st choice because of where he plays and fixtures.
Costa is my 2nd. If Arsenal can score two, why can't Chelsea do?
Di Maria ... Not sure if he will get many chances. He seems a provider.A man utd player (yes and I'm a citeh fan)
-throughout the season they don't play midweek, therefore no rotation
-opposition look vulnerable
=sleep easyI'm thinking Adebayor is a real option this week.
yes but team playing thursday and a one week choice only?
True, still I fancy Spurs to overcome WBA at home.
yep
Aguero would be a good captaincy option as well.
Rooney wins it for me due to the better fixture and the fact he is far more advanced than ADM who plays as a CM. Rooneys stats are also much better.Luckily for me I have zero of those three players π
Captain Mirallas for me this weekend! Heyyoooooooo..
Advice about football ticket please.
I plan to attend a game of Liverpool v Chelsea on November.
How much does the tick usually cost ?
Your advice would be very appreciate.check liverpool website -category A prices listed there
availability might be your issue
watch in local boozer might be best option...Thank you for the tip.
Is it madness to go Cadil + Rooney over Ramsey + Pelle? Ramsey seems tired and out of form.
No. Not at all.
So go for it? Hope Chadli can keep his form up...
No more questions over Chadli than there are over Pelle. And we both know who we'd rather have between Roon and Rambo.
True, thanks for that insight! π
Is Cadil supposed to be Chadli?
I would take the first option this gw due to fixturesYup Chadli ;p
team gel needed for him to play good like last season
his form depends on wenger also changing formation to 4-2-3-1 again in my opinion
honestly thinking of shipping him out for someone after this gameweek if things don't improve tactically (wenger's an idiot)He'll come good, but might take awhile....
Not sure if Chadli is a good long term pick, hope he keeps it up!
beware spurs fixtures-check out frisking the strong
Fixtures quite good apart from Man City game actually. Expect goals in derby vs Arsenal π
Baines best defender for next few weeks?
Crystal Palace (H)
Liverpool (A)
Man Utd (A)
Aston Villa (H)
Burnley (A)
Swansea (H)
Sunderland (A)
West Ham (H)Wait until Liverpool and Man U are out the way!
it would seem so, along with Ivan and Bertrand/Clyne...
If you ignore 2nd and 3rd on the fixture list he most definitely is.
I'm considering getting him in for the Palace game and then potentially rotating him out for 2-3 games. The way I see it Villa will be another tough game for them so its effectively 3 games to avoid imo, afterwhich its primetime to get him in.
I'm just deciding which one of Ramsey, Fab, Sterling, or Tadic to drop to get him in. Will decide on Friday night probably.Don't understand the Baines love.
A lot has to do with those fixtures.
Which aren't very good over the next 3 weeks
everyone else: "Don't understand the Blackett love." π
Haha!
or: "don't understand the Van Gaal/Roonpig/Man Utd love" π
I think you'll find it's lust not love!
Truly love your passion MRUMRU has a strong sexual desire for Blackett? π―
Touche.
From GW8 on yes. Untill then?.... Duff 8)
Next week its
Rooney , Bojan , Hendo , PVA , Krul
to
Pelle , 4.5 , Di Maria , Duff , Forster
-12 worth it?no sir
i can boogie
Wow, people actually make trades like that?! No wonder there's so many getting low scores
π―
π―
Not really worth it ... try and transition those guys in over 2-3 weeks. You'll kick yourself if only one of them fails, the chances are they won't repeat last week's points!
nope
lets deconstruct
keep all the players apart from krul because they are all decent sorts +/or have good fixtures this GW
Which of these would you play this weekend:
Chambers at Villa (higher CS potential)
Caulker vs Stoke (higher goal potential)Caulker
Caulker will 100% score against Stoke if I trade him out for Baines won't he?
Yes ... so for the sake of thousands of other people ... hold tite!
Caulker
very difficult as qpr look a complete shambles despite caulker being a qualitee player
is there a third option to this question? The situation is this:
I want to get Baines in, which requires downgrading a big midfielder, as well as a defender.
If I trade Wisdom instead of Caulker, then I play Baines-Lovren-Caulker (Chambers, Clyne) this GW, and then Caulkers 4.9 sits on the bench for another few weeks until I can get him out.
Alternatively, I trade Caulker and play Baines-Lovren-Chambers (Clyne, Wisdom) this GW, meaning that I save the 0.9 for reinvestment elsewhere rather that stuck on my bench until I use a FT on him.
The question is essentially, is it worth sinking 0.9 into the bench for the next few GW's in order to have Caulker instead of Chambers this weekend?ok i now understand
trade wisdom as he's probably past it and they will get whacked this w/e
and then be brave and line up baines-lovren-clyne(caulk;chambers)
-i think arsenal might be vulnerable this w/e and chambers might be a no showYeah I've considered that as well. The issue with that is that it still leaves me with that 0.9 on the bench. If I keep Caulker its only because of this GW as he won't play again until GW9 or 10. Caulkers fixture is better than Clyne's this weekend too. Imo its too much to have 4.5+4.9 on the bench in defense... 0.9 too much actually
Villa have been the bane of my season so far though. First by ruining Begovic's CS, then beating Liverpool :/
And the answer is surely "no" unless you've found a way of picking a team under budget.
If you have please share πmy team is available via the link in my profile π
Flip a coin, mate.
I've done that a couple of times already actually:
GW2: Mata>Fab. Thankfully the coin gods were with me and I got Fab. I think I might have done it anyways, I just needed a reason to explain to myself later why I did it (... "it was the coins fault!").
GW4: Captain Sterling or Tadic. I was leaning towards Tadic and the coin said Tadic.
The coin has worked for me so far.:)
- Is Di Maria essential?
People without Di Maria have a real dilemma, his price is rocketing very fast, and he will soon be out of reach for mny.
Those looking at the stats for comfort are kidding themselves. He may of not had a shot in the box, but the amount of balls he put in there are going to lead to plenty of fantasy points. He quite simply is class above your usua premier league player. At Madrid he was another cog in the machine , at utd he the star turn
9.5 looked good value to me, it wont be long before hes ten , and utd with no euros to worry about are going to be the best attacking unit in the league before long. He will be essentialwill be 11 by end of season
It's funny I asked opinions on doing Ramsey to ADM after the game for free and lots of people said it was silly, now people seem to be all over it.
Prob getting him if he gets good fantasy points this week can't deny
and they will pay when we return to the 4-2-3-1 this weekend! π
He seems to be rising much faster than others for some reason. His ownership still not that high so could easily add .7 more over the next few weeks
cant accuse me of that , i made the swap BEFORE the QPR game. But your right, they were all telling me i would regret it, they gone quiet now
Last week no one was really interested in ADM, played too deep etc. then he gets a fluke goal and fluke assist against QPR and people are going crazy trying to get him in. It's no surprise really considering he is a 'big name' but then so was Ozil.
Di Maria was passing to Mata, 100%. That wasn't a shot.
Putting ADM and Ozil in the same category is a little unfair at this stage. Ozil was a class player in Spain, but will never pan out in the premier league.
Di Maria's pace, vision, and game sense will make him an absolute star in the EPL.
Couldn't agree more with this TL.Pace ... I agree Di Maria is better than Ozil.
But, for Vision and Game Sense, I think Ozil is not far worse than ADM.
Can't say I disagree with any of that. π
It’s funny how Sanchez who came from the same league cost 10.5 and ADM had a starting price of 9.5. ADM is a better player.
Goals are 5 assists are 3.
Based on goal returns surely which is ironic because Sanchez had never been much of a goal scorer until last season.
He will never be essential if he lacks significant goal threat. Assist machine perhaps but not a goal scorer
He doesn't lack goal threat. As trig said, we'll set him free.
He will score a few no doubt, not prolific but likely to get half a dozen and countless assists.
This.
Is Fabregas essential? Has he scored yet?
I'm disappointed I missed his last rise.....now have to bring him in for 0.1 more...
I agree that he is class! My only concern is if Falcao becomes necessary if I'm going to want that much $ and coverage tied up in man united? At that point I guess I will re asses. This should be around the time Wally is back and the Ramsey/silva verdict is in!
Dont underestimate utd, there attack will be exactly where you want your money
True...I think chelsea and Man U will be where I spend all year!
People said that about ozil last year. You may be right but it's nowhere near as cut and dried as you are making out.
#5 on the hof championing him on the main fpl discussion board will do his short term price no harm though πYou cant say i didnt back it up with action, was one of the first to bring him in
I'm not saying that, I'm merely drawing comparison between high profile market tipsters saying a stock will rise and low and behold it does as everyone starts buying it and high profile posters championing players who then also accelerate their rise in price. As a self professed value chaser it may help your cause (intentionally or unintentionally)
Comparing him to Ozil is like comparing Ramsey to Cleverley.
Was it like that when they were team mates at Real Madrid? I don't think so
Everyone going on about his fluke assist, but not mentioning all the other great chances he created, that were notconverted, could have had three assists
They played vs QPR for gawdsake.
Ozil was never a fixture at Madrid whereas AdM was vital, in a more successful period no less.
Are you serious? He was an assist machine. Remember CR being upset when he was sold? ADM helped fill the gap but Ozil was great there. Even Mou admits that
Yet he didn't even start every match and often came off at the hour mark. Flat track bully that kid.
Did Ozil not have the most assists in Europe before joining Ars?
he did.
π
I get so worked up...lol.
this whole post is stupid though imo.
lol @ ADM being essential.Im glad I own him though.
yeah..fixtures and early rises on his side..definitely wouldnt be scrambling to get him on though. i doubt you would either if not on wc..
Ozil had 2 assists in his first game, including a beauty of a take-down on a long-ball at full speed and direct pass to Giroud iirc. Then he only got 7 assists the rest of the season.
But lets all get on this wagon because ADM got some fluky assists against the mighty QPR.
He'll probably be like Silva in FPL terms... lots and lots of flash, but ultimately his passes will be the pass before the assist more often than not, while the strikers and Rooney-Mata steal the assists.Have you seen him take direct free kicks?
10 goals, and will benefit from he games interpretation of "assist"
Brought him in for Ramsey before the QPR game and glad I did. Will swap him out for Wally when he's back in a few weeks if returns are slow but may be keeping him for a few months. I agree there was some good fortune on Saturday but he will create a lot of chances and when Falcao is up to speed the conversion rate should be pretty good too.
Rather be on the wagon than being left in the desert watching it speed away
i must admit iv taken just as much pleasure sticking with mata while many ditched
and while his place is secure he will outscore di maria as he will get more goals and create his fair share tooBut his place isn't secure.
right now it is and fair to say hes contributing a bit more than blackett lol
He's been generally shite. Even in preseason. Had a decent if not rather ordinary game vs QPR and you'd think he set the world alight or summat. On the other hand Blackett has been our best defender and most consistent performer so far.
I feel like I'm taking crazy pills.one win for the rags and they're all scrappin'!!
blue moon.......will be left in our wake
seriously
still get the feeling that there is something not quite right in the utd camp
maybe its all those low fat chips...Or all the class manager and players coming in.
Enjoy 3rd.buying the league is what it used to be called
a baffling array of 'home grown' talent
ok vdg might be good but the history of the moyessiah might bite him on the backside
what do rags fans do on tues and wed nights-watch tv and eat chipsNot sure what you even said in that first paragraph but I think we generally sit back and enjoy in the knowledge that your short lived reign is at an end.
good banter -i'm off back to bed when i stop laffin
Must have been fun for United fans to watch Liverpool in the CL tonight π
Even better that they're all up in arms about the late PELANTY!!!! hahaha
I think united will beat a lot of teams but have troubles with teams like city and chelsea
well if 8 goals in his last 10 premier league games is ordinary and generally shite then im looking forward to seeing him hit a bit of form...
u need to lay off those crazy pills mateIt's a matter of when to own him. Like hazard..
I think LVG will defer more to the captain, RVP and his new toy
Adm will out score mata by some margin. Bale vs silva two years agoit is a matter of when to own him yeah.. if u had owned him the last ten games u would of got 8 goals from him
I don't care what he was doing in a mediocre sides like us last season or Chelsea in his heyday. He's generally poor. The last thing we need is a poacher from the #10 position.
ok
Did you see what LVG said about Blackett? Basically called him lucky to be playing because united have injured players
Translation: Don't get carried away with yourself.
How long is he nailed for ? Till Jones returns? Or Smalling?
They only play QPR at home once per season π
considering nobody has risen 0.3m between gw's, I'm not sure "skyrocketing" is going to happen to any player's price this season.
55% of all managers own costa, up 30% or so from GW1. He has increased a whopping .3m this season.
Sigurdsson 0.5m this season, Fab just 0.4m ... bandwagons don't boost prices at 2013 rates in 2014Not convinced. Stats don't lie.
Ignoring his Untied stats (low CC, low SoT) AND his Madrid stats (low goal threat) is too much for me.
More than happy to wait another week πApart from Fabregas no MF is essential this season. We just need to rotate them according to their form and fixture.
I wonder how many players are labeled essential during the season..
If he is essential, why wasnt this postet prior to the QPR match?
Ridiculous.the price rocketing scar-mongering doesn't really work this season. plenty of time to assess as 1 match in which everything barring a key-pass to van persie went his way is hardly enough to work out whether he's worth it over whoever else would have to make way
Lest i remind you Sp*rs also beat QPR 4-0. Are Lamela/Ade all essential?
π
Balotelli > Rooney or Lukaku??
Rooney
Rooney for me.
RVP likely to lose his place to Falcao and Rooney to benefit from having ADM and Mata playing behind him.+1 RVP looks like an old man suddenly
Sad but true
Thanks chaps ... didnt quite get Muppet piped up like i thought this might!
Having said that Balotelli scored last night so maybe his form is on the up and up?!looked vacant during villa at home
Funny how the trade of choice a mere 3 days ago was Rooney>Balotelli. Funny what one goal can do for a player
Best three defenders to buy (money no problem)?
Excluding fixtures?
Baines, Ivanovic, Kompany - for the long term
Short-term:
Clyne Moreno NaylorWill Demicheles continue to partner Kompany? Or will Mangala oust him once he's fit?
City are looking a little suspect defensively at the start of this season.Demi is by no means keeping the place warm for Mangala. Mangala is very young and I'd expect him to be slowly introduced to the squad. Demi, for all the ridicule he's gotten, has been a fairly stable and quality CB for them. I'd say it will be next year when we see that shift made full stop and Mangala is in game in game out.
Bertrand Clyne Duff
Baines Ivanovic Clyne imo...
Ivan, Baines, ShawX
This but money does matter so ShawX, Clyne and Naylor
Ivan Coleman Baines
Baines Ivanovic and Bertrand
ivan ;shawcross + clyne
When is Walcott back? Just saw that he had 14g 13a for 194points in only 2200 minutes two seasons ago, and 72p in 860mins last year.
Thats an average of over 7.5 points per 90 minutes, which is pretty incredible for FPL.
Once he's back and starts firing he'll probably be my Arsenal player of choice.
On the downside he might face rotation from Sanchez....he will start when he comes back - critical player...
after the next international break (gw8) is when he will return most probably...Waited on him for even one game last year and he got a good haul... in straight away for me this time.
Pick two to start from this lot next week:
Clyne, Chester, PVA and TaylorTaylor, PVA, Clyne, Chester in order
clyne,pva;taylor ;chester
I take sot to beat swansea comfortably
What's the verdict onYaYa? Just rested for CL?
Yep
The order posts go in can confuse t times. Someone says something you like so you reply saying how much you agree, only to find your reply is under someone elses comment that you dont actually agree with
And the time "reply fail" was born!
im not talking about reply fails , more comments in the correct post that become jumbled
Just reply the comment to which you would like to reply to. I can't think it is very complicated....every comment has its own reply attribute......
yes but if someone else is typing at same time and posts first your under their one
guess it best to include name of poster your talking too, Walsh π
Hey, do what you need to do my bro. when multiple users click reply to the comment, as you know, they come out in order of who clicked the reply button first and not what you see on the screen when you clicked reply. FFS!!!!!!.....Trigger...:)
Sometimes when there are alot in one strand it craps out for some reason.
It's only so many layers deep. 8 or 9 I think. Then it just becomes a mess.
This is what TL is talking about. I am currently responding to his original post but it will look as if I'm replying to muppet!
and muppet on the di maria post said he agreed with everything i said, then Ryan posted above his message so it looked like muppet was agreeing with that , which was the opposite. of what he actually agreed with
In what way does that look like Muppet is agreeing with Ryan? It's not even on the same level of replies...
I'm playing Krul at home vs Hull next week, feels like russian roulette.
Russian roulette with a full chamber, is more like it. Newc look like complete rubbish at the moment.
a part of me doesn't believe they can continue to be that bad despite pardew
I agree, but the difference between not being that bad in that they are shipping 4 goals to Soton and not being that bad defined by only shipping one or two does little for our fantasy prospects π They are rubbish for us all the same.
yes they can
Yep! And seems as though Pardew is playing Russian roulette with a fully-loaded gun! They've been horrible, the Toon
And yet Krul got me my only keeper CS so far π
Magpies are an absolute shambles at the back right now.
I reckon my Grandma's Saturday afternoon bridge team could put a brace past them!Is Krul still worth holding onto long-term? Feels like I'll be playing Begovic all the time but Krul at 4.5 is great value if they sort their defense out...
ship out pronto
the toon are going down
A) Baines, Eriksen, Welbeck
B) PVA, Mirallas, Rooneyb
b
LVG Not stupid. There no way he changes formation after last weeks performance. RVP to the bench
He might. Slightly mental he is. I'm still hoping for 433 myself. Di Maria and Januzaj OOP would be bloody brilliant.
Sorry to say and I hope all the Falcao owners don’t cry but RvP is what we call a "teacher’s pet". LvG will accommodate van Persie some how.
He must realise RVP is not up to it though , it puts LVG in a tricky spot, having to bench his Dutch pet.
My guess is he gives RVP half an hour at end, or starts him with Falcso on bench.
They looked poor after Mata came off and Rooney went to midfieldThat was mostly due to Valencia. He can slow any attack down. Would much prefer RVP is dropped but Mata can have no complaints if it's him.
Yeah, I agree, they looked much better with mata on the pitch
rvp doesnt warrant a guaranteed starting spot because he dines out with LVG and his missus..
he isnt performing to the standard required its as simple as that and must surely be the one to make wayI'm inclined to think RvP will start at the weekend and likely score a brace.
certainly wouldnt rule that out either and as a united fan im happy for him to prove me wrong
Loyalty is a funny thing.
A bit of a re-post but thought I'd add some more detail to get some more opinions on my Caulker/Chambers/Baines situation, which is this:
- I want to get Baines in (Currently on Lovren-Caulker-Clyne-Chambers-Wisdom), which requires downgrading a big midfielder, as well as a defender.
- If I trade Wisdom instead of Caulker, then I play Baines-Lovren-Caulker (Chambers, Clyne) this GW, and then Caulkers 4.9 sits on the bench for another few weeks until I can get him out.
- Alternatively, I trade Caulker and play Baines-Lovren-Chambers (Clyne, Wisdom) this GW, meaning that I save the 0.9 for reinvestment elsewhere rather that stuck on my bench until I use a FT on him.
The question is essentially, is it worth sinking 0.9 into the bench for the next few GW's in order to have Caulker instead of Chambers this weekend?Chambers has a perfectly playable fixture this weekend.
Shift Caulker imo
save ft imo - baines has mun and liv after palace, which isnt a guaranteed double digit haul
I would probably only bring Baines in for 1GW, but feel I can afford that luxury with 2FT's and no issues with my team atm
QPR have good fixtures now, if caulker is going to come good its at home to Stoke. Liverpool are the ones that dont look like keeping clean sheets this season so 5.5. for lovren looking bad value atm. Clearly Southampton and Swansea have the best defense right now as well as Aston Villa who have Roy Keane coaching. Coleman Looks just as likely to score as Baines, Baines more likely to Assist.
Valid points.
Regardless of what they did away from home, they kept a CS last home game vs Sunderland, and were unlucky not to do so against Hull (when Caulker almost scored). Stoke haven't scored much either, even though they've been getting chances to apparently.
I see what you mean about Liverpool. They still only conceded 1 goal in 2 and 1 chance all game against Villa. Lovren has also had at least 1 decent headed chance per game too.
On last nights evidence QPR at West ham doesn't look as attractive CS wise as it did before either.
Meanwhile Chambers goes to Villa who drew 0-0 with the terrible Newcastle, and have only had 6 shots on target so far... Surely arsenal should handle THAT?Lovren's good run of fixtures also means I have one of 3 Def spots nailed down for the long-term, unlike any of my other defenders who all have at least one bad fixture to avoid.
I decided to get Falcao in but looks like RvP taking his place atm and he didn't slot straight in as I expected, should I swap to Rooney or any other striker that you recommend?
stick with Falcao, he should start this weekend π
Falcao has great hair. He'll come good soon π
Who to captain this week? Have
A. Costa
B. Kun
C. FalcaoB
B imo
A midfielder?
I might keep captaining costa until he gives me a reason to do otherwise. Another goal or 2 seems very likely even against city!
Ask me tomorrow
kids, what is needed for this team - both short and long term?

obviously Costa missing hurts but can't afford him without losing Rooney
thinking i hold FT this week and use both next week but who should go / come in??
would also like to get baines soon but can't squeeze him and costa
Cheerskids? π―
cant do balo ---> costa? you can do krul + balo ---> mccarthy + costa next week for free if you save the ft πThis
My thoughts exactly...Balo to costa. It can wait til next week on a double for sure!
I've come to realise this week just how powerful the 2FT is. It opens so many doors and possibilities.
kids…just kidding
thanks mate. krul to mccarthy cause he's likely to get the starting gig from green or better to downgrade 2nd keeper to free up cash?
hopefully the influx for costa stops, he's already at 10.8 and can't break the bank for one player
by the way 'pool are defending it was probably a mistake bringing in lovren, maybe transfer him out soon as wellwell both - he could start and would allow you to get costa...should be fine, cant see costa going up 0.3 this week! π
btw 10.0 + 0.7 so i'm 0.1 short of costa - stupid price rise!
Need a replacement for Debuchy
Bego - Gilks
Moreno - Clyne - Colo - Moore - Debuchy*
A) Evans
B) Naylor
C) Jagielka
D) Suggestions?Naylor, Duff or Blackett π
translation: Blackett π
It really doesn't get old. It's the new Sterling. π
Naylor looks good, so does PvA π
yea pva rotates well with colo and vry attacking
naylor has fairely decent fixtures
evans not worth it?not over those two imo...
i like Jag, he's a BPS magnet. naylor next best and morgan from leicester (although you already have moore).
Chambers??
Will mata get shifted out wide of the diamond and be played over Herrera?
No chance. Herrera is vital.
He'll be shifted to the left I reckon... left bench that is π
why would they have to do that?
--------------Blind-------------
---Di Maria------Herrera---
--------------Mata-------------
---Falcao---------Rooney---Because LVG may persist with RVP.
Man United 3rd kit
A. Januzaj
B. BlindA. Easy one.
C. Fellaini
Nothing beats the disgusting Arsenal kits this season. I didn't think it could get any worse from their away kits but those 3rd kits from today were so hideous.
damn puma - bad luck charm π π

I've not been following Stoke backline. There were a lot of uncertainty before the season. Has it settled down now. Is Wilson nailed on?
