Arsenal and Tottenham were both rebuffed in their attempts to sign Southampton’s World Cup star Morgan Schneiderlin this summer and hanging on to the French midfielder has proven crucial to the Saints’ ascent under new boss Ronald Koeman.

The 10.7% of Fantasy Premier League managers who have backed Schneiderlin have seen a phenomenal return from the central midfielder, who has chalked up 29 points in his last three appearances, courtesy of a trio of goals and four bonus points.

In our next members’ article of the week, we turn to the Key Performance Indicators (KPI) tables in order to assess Schneiderlin’s progress from the previous campaign under Mauricio Pochettino.

For the unfamiliar, these KPI tables are designed to use a series of key stats to allow our members to track form or changes in player performance. By tracking the frequency of certain key statistics and comparing them over two separate periods of time, we can ascertain whether a player’s form has improved or declined. As mentioned in last summer’s introductory article, we’ve rolled out a preview movie which shows just how to get the best out of the KPI tables.

By comparing this season to last, we should be able to get an indication as to how he will be utilised in Koeman’s new-look side and determine whether his high points return so far could be sustainable. By also referencing the Comparison Tool and season totals, we get a better indication as to how he fared:

Is Dier likely to keep his place even when Walker returns?

    Krul (Mannone)

    Duff - Bertrand - Rafael (Hutton-Wisdom)

Chadli - Siggy - Sterling - ADM (FABREGAS)

    Costa - Pelle - Rooney (c)

I'm on a WC, and can do some changes. Benching Fab worries me but no Tottenham coverage is equally worrying.

Which one to bench from Siggie, Dyer, Fab, Rambo, Sterling, Balotelli, Welbeck?

Dyer seems the obvious choice but a home game against Southampton is tempting while the others (except Siggie) have tough away games.

    Leaning towards Welbeck or Sterling.

    Test...

    BEGOVIC (qpr)
IVANOVIC (mcy) BERTRAND (swa) MORENO (whm)
Sterling (whm) Sigs (SOU) Ramsey (avl) Hazard (mcy)
Rooney (lei) Costa (mcy) Naismith (CPA)

    away game central. 😆

0FT, £0.6m..... Wildcarding in GW8, so short term moves are on the radar.

Stick or twist for this week? 😕 🙂

    Thoughts on my team please?

    Guzan (Krul)
Ivan - Hutton - Clyne (Duff) (Wisdom)
Di Maria - Siggy - Schneiderlin - Fabregas - Sterling
    Costa - Rooney (Naismith)

Subs - Krul, Naismith, Duff, Wisdom

Not sure whether to go with three up front with Naismith, or bench either Siggy or Schneiderlin?

    Feedback please!
