When Fantasy Premier League (FPL) opened its doors a couple of weeks ago, we weren’t far behind. Fantasy Football Scout got the ball rolling on our Head to Head leagues for the 2011/12 season by creating another two more and asked you all to stick your names in the hat for entry.

You kindly responded in your droves and after many man hours of wading through the entries, and a glamorous draw which took place on Saturday morning, we have had over 60 new leagues places to hand out to the lucky few recipients of our draw. The results (click to enlarge) and final figures on the nine Head to Head leagues (new entries highlighted) are as follows…

As you can see from the graphic above, there was at least one extra place in all of our leagues – be it from people dropping out or not claiming their spot in time. Firstly, if you see your name highlighted in that peach melba colour then you should have already received an email response to that which you entered with your respective league codes – if not, then whizz me over an email and I’ll sort things out for you.

Impressive Tackle and Back on the horse are the healthiest recipients who have jumped all the way up to FFS H2H 1 thanks to having the superior ranking of all our draw winners – Impressive Tackle finished a mind-bending 14th in the world last year.

Gooner Dave wasn’t far behind so takes up the single space left in FFS H2H 2. Four new managers get to take on Fantasy Football Scout head honcho Mark in FFS H2H 3 – Have they got what it takes to beat “The Scout”? I’m sure they’ll relish the challenge.

LawnDart jumps right into FFS H2H 4 on his own while FFS H2H 5 sees three new managers get to compete with Fantasy Football Scout super scribe Sir Paulos, podcast jockey Granville and differential destroyer (and my main rival) Big Dunc – without doubt the most Scout heavy Head to Head league.

Our Stateside Scout Da Beeeez is joined by three new faces in FFS H2H 6 with guiness416, Heisenberg and pompeyfan getting a jump up into our league structure.

FFS H2H 7 was our bottom league last season so sees a fair few new faces join its ranks thanks to a whole load of relegations – our comment-board regulars will perhaps recognise the likes of Johnny Unitas, Horizontal and RaspingDrive in amongst the qualifiers.

Scout business brain El Fozzie is heading up FFS H2H 8 (the first of two new leagues which has nineteen new faces) – Greeny was the best ranked manager of this bunch at a very respectable 17,284th place last season.

Certainly, 17,284th is more than I could have ever hoped for, which perhaps explains why I am heading up FFS H2H 9 – or what I am now dubbing “The Underachievers”. You will notice plenty of recognisable faces from long time caller Pasqualinho to King Nil Miss with a certain Westfield Irons inbetween. The Irons are the team managed by none other than Jon Reeson, winner of the whole 2009/10 FPL campaign and Marks’ Radio companion. Last season saw Jon struggle to keep up appearances following his banner year but is back ahead of the 2011/12 season and will undoubtedly have 19 Head to Head rivals eager for the victory scalp of an ex-FPL champion.

For those of you needing a reminder of how our promotion/relegation works then have a gander at the following graphic and work out just where you need to finish to survive and/or prosper.

This, of course, indicates that we know we need to cater for many more than just the 180 managers in our Head to Head leagues above. So without further ado we also christen the opening of the Fantasy Football Scout Reserve League (code: 759-148560).

If you were unfortunate enough to not have your name pulled out of the hat in the draw/got relegated/left it too late to claim your place then the Reserve League is open to anyone wanting to enter. Your league code (759-148560) should allow you the chance for 38 Fantasy Football Scout endorsed Head to Head fixtures and the shot at promotion into the aforementioned structure – just make sure your team finishes in the top 45 places and then keep your eyes peeled the following summer if you do.

Stick around for sporadic League updates through the season whenever we can squeeze them in, I’ll hopefully have a short graphic based one up in the early September international break and our first comprehensive movers and shakers report in the following October break.

Congratulations to our 60+ draw winners. Get joining our Reserve League if you’re not in on the action. I’m going for a stiff Ribena, am glad all that work is almost over until next summer. Good luck. Except to those in League Nine- I need all the help I can get in that one.

I didn't even look at your team just saw your user name and got excited I could give you stick in text form on the internet.

Bosingwa, Rafael, Gervinho are rotation risks with Bosingwa unlikely to get any kind of game time, they need to go.

Tiote is cheap but will get you a yellow card every single game.

Spurs opening fixtures are very tough so apart from VDV I wouldn't go near them and even he is borderline, I don't like Bale as an FPL option he scores 1 or 2 points every game then drops in a 15 pointer every 20th game.

Personally I would have 2 high price defenders who you can start every week i.e. Kompany & Baines/A.cole and 3 cheapies to rotate as a 3rd player i.e. Bramble, Simpson, QPR 4.0.

Similar principal in Midfield Silva, Nzogbia Tarrabt look solid, change Tiote to Dyer and downgrade Bale to a 6.0 midlfielder to free up 2.0.

With the spare 2.0 you can upgrade Gervinho to Torres/Drogab or Aguerro giving you another big hitter and solid captain choice.

Bosingwa is far from a starter, probably not even desert that's how uncertain he is of starting.

Bale's fixtures are not very appealing and if you're going to put taarabt in, then you have to play him

      Rafael is rotationable as well

Rafael and Bosingwa aren't nailed on starters, Gervinho is an unknown in the EPL. Tiote I'll let you work that one out yourself

Rafael is going to rotate with Fabio/Jones it seems, so even at 5.5, I think the money can be spent better elsewhere, same goes for Bosingwa, if he is a starter, great, but it seems like there is too much competition for me and I like planning a solid team now and if it becomes clear that a cheapie is emerging in the top 6 it will be easy to incorporate at the last minute.

Not sold on Silva yet, despite looking great in any games I have watched last year and in pre-season, I still think there are too many players sharing the points at City and one excellent pre-season game isn't going to win me over. Tiote is a defensive midfielder as far as I know, and I don't think is worth it. Bale, not sure about either, but could also do well.

I think you need Malouda or some Chelsea attacking coverage, would be helpful to know if you have anything in the bank.

Gervinho and Arsenal, I am holding off on to see how they play RVP and Gervinho, Rooney and Zamora, spot on.

Malouda couldn't hit a barn door with a handful of gravel... but thanks for the rest of the advice... genuinely do think Bosingwa will play and do well though... and i'm willing to gamble on Gervinho... but nothing is final until the 14th...

ah jayus toffee crisp Bosingwa??? Have you got a direct line to AVB ? Cos if he is a definite starter let me know!
Rafael a bit more certain but on slightly
      Bale better options cheaper..
Tiote a nothing fpl player points wise and Gervinho untried in fpl and will play in midfield besides that its grand.
But its all luck at the end of the day even Andy had a bad season last year and Mark had a bad one (for his standard) the year before last...

Maybe - but having just looked at the relegation/promotion thingymejig I have to finish in the top 6 in H2H9 or Im vanquished back to the reserves. If I finish in the top 6 I go up 2 divisiions. Do or die basically!!

If I knew that Luiz and Suarez would start the season:

    Given (Ruddy)

    Kompany, Luiz, Orr (Bramble, Simpson)

    Malouda, Silva, N’Zog, Moses (Marveaux)

    RVP, Suarez, Zamora

Two big ifs, but it would give me 9 players I’d be more than happy to play each week: rotating one weak midfielder and one weak defender depending on the fixtures.

Also has 2 big hitters in all 3 positions, giving the opportunity to bring in the form players in each position.

    What do you chaps think?

Personally, I love it... it's exactly the same as mine 'cept I have:
      Cole not Luiz
      Sinclair not Marvaux
      Bent not RVP

If I was sure Luiz was guaranteed, I'd have him over Cole and change Bent to RVP eithe for GW1 or GW4. Not convinced by Newcastle given the dressing room issues.

Have swapped Lampard & Yaya for Malouda & Silva about 100 times already!

Some help with my DF woes would be great. Ive tinkered with my team today and my DF is looking weak but I’m happy with the front 8.

I’ve somehow ended up with 2 city players, a wigan player and two 4.0 guff.
Kompany Clichy Alcaraz (Simpson) (Wilkinson) and .5 in the bank.

Any suggestions to improve without messing with the front 8?

I thought your team added up to over 100 so I checked it and discovered Ferguson is only £4m. I've never seen a midfielder that cheap before.

Considering you have rooney and rvp it looks fairly decent. Ferguson is obviously a concern if u need to rely on him. You could downgrade hangeland to jags and upgrade ferguson

Like it! Taarabt to Sinclair and Ba to Zamora would be even better.

does anyone know when player value changes are gonna kick in then? will a player heavily picked for gw1 see his value rise even if he isnt heavily transferred in for gw2??

No.. It is based on net transfers in and out during any given gameweek...

If we ever reach the point where we think that Benayoun and Luiz will start then my team will look like this...

    Given Ruddy

    Kompany Luis Bramble Simpson Orr

    Silva Benayoun N'Zog Sinclair Moses

    Rooney RVP Zamora

Obviously a bit weaker in defense but allows ManCity, Chelsea, ManU and Ars attacking coverage, which I think is more important.

The important thing is getting points. You have to play at least one of Bramble, Simpson or Orr each week which is a worry.

It's the same as everyone else's. Mine included. So I will repeat the same comments as everyone else has received. Malouda rotation risk, weak defence, Fulham liability with Jol in charge, Suarez may not start season.

Just a thought, a simple way to open up these leagues to more players instead of the lottery that is the Reserve H2H would be to make each league have 39 teams. It's not like there's any home/away advantage as in real football.

      Simple answer...

      No.

This is a bloody mammoth run for me every summer. I'm sure I probably don't have the smoothest operation, but it's pretty smooth and is all encompassing all the same. We're approaching the tipping point as is - suddenly doubling the amount of entrants is just not going to happen.

'sup mofo's? Long time no see, hope yous are all good. New season looms, class. Squad sorted bar some Goodwillie, I would ask you to rate it but A)You don't care about my team. B)I don't care what you think of it 🙂

Just thought I'd say a'right. Get my feet back under the table. Pick my spot and get comfy.

    Thus................. a'right.

don't bother, save money elsewhere and start looking at 5-6m midfielders.
