Our Player Projections available in the Membersโ€™ Area are being updated on a regular basis as the pre-season rolls on and events such as Bartonโ€™s fallout and the arrival of Sergio Aguero move the goalposts.

If youโ€™re new to the site โ€“ these tables represent the Scoutโ€™s predicted returns for Premier League players in terms of goals, assists, clean sheets and several statistics relevant to the Fantasy Premier League game. They can be accessed in the Members Area right here.

Thereโ€™s been a lot of tweaks over the past 48-hours so, to help our Members get a handle on the changes made, you can read on for a list of the recent activity. You can expect further tweaks to the Projections over the coming days and certainly following the weekendโ€™s final bout of friendly matches.

Man United
Slight tweaks to the projections of Rafael, Fabio, Wayne Rooney, Javier Hernandez , Tom Cleverley and Dimitar Berbatov.

Norwich City
Reduced Elliot Ward starts and projection increased Zak Whitebread accordingly.

QPR
Reduced Kasper Gorkss starts and projections. Revised the defence as a result.
Added Kieron Dyer to midfield.

Sunderland
Slight revision to the defence.
Increased Stephane Sessengon goals and overall projection in the light of his pre-season form and continued role up front.

Swansea City
Jose Moreira replaces Yves Ma Kalambay as the goalkeeper option. Added Wayne Routledge to midfield and reduced starts for Nathan Dyer and Stephen Dobbie accordingly.

Tottenham
Slight tweaks to the midfield and forward projections.

West Brom
Added Ben Foster to replace Boaz Myhill as goalkeeper โ€“ saves and Bonus increased.

they dnt want to have a fabs saga, after all if barca want him back chelsea are obliged to accept the buy-back price, but he can choose to stay.
and look at rossi which had some excellent seasons in spain and even real were considering him, however manu ddnt exercise their buyback option.

I got a stereo off QVC once that was really good while it lasted (that turned out to be 2 years). Then, still under guarantee, since the model was no longer made I got a full cash refund.

So, this is almost exactly not the same.

Apparently they can buy him back after 1 and 2 years. Still, you have to look at the fact Xavi and Iniesta will still be playing in 2 years time, Perdo's come through and, lets face it, they'll have Cesc.

Chances of this guy getting back into the Barca team in the next 5 years are pretty slim.

but it depends wether kenny will stick to last season's plans. when playing 2 deep mids, the full backs make a lot of forward runs and become attacking threat. but with the new arrivals this season, it mught be different. however still on the defensive side, i can see a good season for liverpool in comparison to an attack minded fulham coach

Think I'm finally going to settle with this team...

    Kenny Given (rotate well)
    Cashley Kompany Baines Enrique (Simpson)
    Silva Taraabt Nzogbia Moses (Ferguson)
    RVP Drogba (Graham)

defence: imo the 3 best defenders for GW 1-10 and Enrique who should be a great bargain and should keep cleanies in most opening home fixtures.
midfield: Silva – quality, Taraabt – new C.Adam etc. etc., Nzogbia – obvious reasons, Moses – punt but looks good in pre season.
attack: RVP – best forward in FPL terms imo, seems to be fixture proof, Drogba – a punt for GWs 1-2 where I think he’ll start ahead of Torres, then out for Suarez GW3.
subs – weak but I can easily play 4 or even 5 at the back if I’m stuck.

I would be reluctant to lose Kompany because I think he is a must have. reasons
          - cheapest nailed on defender at the club with the best defence in the league.
          - would have been one of the highest scoring defenders last year if he was classed as one
          - 2nd best defender in 2010/11 season for Actim Index, so expect lots of BPs

Seen a lot of "No Man Utd coverage" comments. I don't see there being amazing value there bar maybe Rooney. They've got too many players that can change the game / steal the fantasy points.

Valencia, Young, Nani, Anderson and to an extent Giggs are are all going to get game time.

If KK & Boas confirm their line ups I would prefer Suarez/Carrol to Drogba/Torres for gw1. I would rather get the CHelsea striker in for gw2/3.

Stoke away could be sticky for Chelsea.

I think Drogba would be better against Stoke anyway, a more physical game will better suit him than Torres. Also can see him taking free kicks and he's dangerous from them as he's demonstrated over past seasons when chelsea were struggling to find a goal. And if he does well against Stoke, there's no reason to not play him against west brom.
Just my own opinion, all down to what AVB decides at the end of the day.

    Gut feelings.

I have a feeling about a few players this season so I have steered clear of them.

    1. N'Zogbia - I am not convinced he will do as well at Villa. When a big fish in a small pond moves to a bigger pond, they usually don't get as many points right away.

    2. Moses - I think he won't be able to step up to the plate. I looked into him last season when Nzogbia was not playing and he didn't impress that much.

    3. Holt - I Think he will be this seasons SEB

Anyone else got any gut feelings on players this season?

No, I'm just using logic and trying to balance risk for maximum benefit.

At the moment that means I ahven't got some potential huge scorers like RVP. But hopefully my cheaper choices will do well enough to rise in price, and they're all on Pens anyway.

I just have to hope that a) it doesn't go to shit really quickly and b) RVP doesn't turn out to be an absolute essential early on.

I full expect to have RVP and Rooney when I can afford them.

        +1

I keep on crowbarring RVP into my side and then taking him out for the better balance.

How much are you spending on your strike force?

My front line is Bent / Carroll / Rodallega although I may even go with Carroll / Zamora / Rodallega for GW1.

only go for enrique if he moves to liverpool...otherwise a fulham defender may be better for that price....Hughes perhaps.

Wigan defenders rarely do well. Al Habsi (gk) is the only one who gets pts.

Taraabt - Moses and Sinclair are all risks...if they don't live up to the hype you have three mid slots to fill pretty quickly. Maybe just go for two out of those three.

forwards are sound...just keep an eye on whether Suarez starts.

Everybody seems to be playing 3-4-3.

Is anybody going for 4 at the back with three defenders of 6+ value.

e.g. A cole and then doubling up on city defenders with Kompany and Clichy.

seems to me that 6 on a defender could score higher than 6 on a midfielder.

Just toying with the idea at the moment. The main problem I with it is that the cheap midfielders (5 and under) are all pretty shocking.

Looks nice. I've got RVP, Suarez and Bent but I keep on putting Zamora in aswell and spending more money on my midfield. It's a touch one this year.

Are you playing 4-4-2 or 4-3-3. Either way you'll have a fair bit of money say on the bench that could be used elsewhere.
e.g. Jarvis or hughes. Both could be downgraded.

OK, time for another savaging of version 6,946 of my team:

    Al-Habsi (Given)

A cole, Kompany, Huth (Simpson, Gabbidon)
    O'Hara, Moses, N'Zogbia, Silva (Sinclair)
    Rooney Zamora Carroll

I think that's about as balanced as I can get it

For anyone else who wants help with their team:

This season would appear to be all about managing risks at the start.

Chelski - new manager, nobody knows what the lineup could be. Almost every player is a risk until we see how they line up on GW1. We might get lucky and have a nice press release before hand to firm this up.

Villa - New manager, no downing and no young. Two new players in Bent and N'Zgobia. Both new players are proven in the PL, but unproven in their new teams.

Liverpool - Looked shaky at the back pre-season, Carroll has not found his form yet for Liverpool, Suarez may be rested for the first 2 weeks.

Man City - Uncertaincy about Tevez future, so pick a stiker at your peril. Rotation risks in midfield due to depth in squad. Silva and Toure best picks from there. Kompany is the only defender worth considering.

Man Utd - Nani/Valencia/Young are all rotation risks. Rooney is nailed on, and Hernandez will likely be rested for the first 2 weeks.

Any of the promoted teams are gambles. Adam last year was awesome, and a lot of people tipped him to do well. Also a lot of people tipped SEB to do well two seasons ago and he flopped. It's a lottery, pick your promoted players wisely but do not rely on them to bring in the money. I would say have one in your starting lineup for a punt, and keep others as subs.

I hope that helps a few people with decisions - please bear in mind that this is just my take on the current situation and I have been known to be wrong, on occasion ๐Ÿ˜‰

    RMT lads.

    Given Ruddy

    Luiz Kompany Rafael Gibbs Simpson

    Silva N'Zogbia Sessegnon Taarabt Ramsey

    Rooney Suarez Graham

Where'd you think I can improve?
Any players I should stay clear of?

    Cheers.

      Looks decent.

      Questions i would have.

Will Luiz get enough games? For the same price Hangeland is nailed on for the majority of games and should score big.

Will Suarez really get started from GW1 or after the international break? Carroll is a decent placeholder for the timebeing.

Will Ramsey get enough games? Drop Ramsey for Moses or Hoolahan to make the money work.Swap back later.

I'd take Holt over Graham, too.

        Cheers mate.

Yeh Luiz does raise an eyebrow. I think Suarez will be touch and go up until the first game of the season.

I think if Fab goes within the next couple of weeks then Ramsey will step up. Again a touch and go up until kick off.

        Why is everyone backing Moses?

Graham all day long. See below.

He could be a great buy. Better value than Holt for me. Also not many people have him so if he starts well his value will rise significantly as people flock to him. Only problem is that if he does flop it's hard to change him for anyone.

Any thoughts on my 2 options below would be appreciated.

    QUESTIONS ๐Ÿ˜•

    A. What’s with the Moses love on this site? Surely Watson takes pens/free kicks forinstance?

    B. Surely, Holt/Graham are the potential SEB for next season?

    C. How much is Watson (software at work means I cannot access fpl site)?

My team (for anyone interested in making comments) ๐Ÿ˜‰
    Given (Kenny)
    Kompany, Clichy, Hughes (Alcaraz) (Simpson)
    Silva, N’Zogbia, Taarabt Sinclair/Watson (Ferguson)

Very nice, I'd be a little cautious over getting Sinclair and Taarabt as they're both unproven..... but sometimes it's worth the gamble.

I'm heading out soon. The 2 teams I've got picked out depend on Enrique's transfer to LFC.

    What is better

    A.

    Given (Ruddy)

Hangeland, Enrique, A Cole, Kompany. (De Laet)

    Sessegnon, VDV, Sinclair, Brunt, (Moses)

    Suarez, RVP, Zamora

(I understand that Suarez might not play but I think he will)

    and

    B.

    Given (Ruddy)

Enrique, A Cole, Kompany. (Simpson, De Laet)

    Sessegnon, VDV, Sinclair, Brunt, (Reo-Coker)

    Suarez, RVP, Bent

    What do you think?

I reckon go for Team A.
With team B Reo Coker just doesnt score FPL points.
B you've got 2 weak defenders, try having just one.
And you're top heavy on your strikers, You'll restrciting yourself to playing 3 players up top each week.

        Need a bit of balance.

Still don't understand the Moses thing with everyone.

Why is Terry projected so much lower than Vidic? United have a new keeper to settle in, and uncertainty about Ferdinand's fitness could mean a not so settled back line this term. Terry surely should be projected up there with Vidic.

Terry is likely to play less minutes this season as he gets older and Chelsea have good cover. Vidic is perhaps more likely to grab goals also.
