Saturday’s modest points returns pile expectations on to Sunday’s trio of encounters, as an assortment of prime Fantasy assets take to the turf.

It all begins with a pair of lunchtime kick-offs, as Spurs entertain Newcastle at the Lane and Burnley host Everton up at Turf Moor. Fantasy managers will be looking to the likes of Leighton Baines, Nacer Chadli and Christian Eriksen to provide some early cheer, before attentions turn to the main event at Old Trafford at 4pm.

United and Chelsea meet head-on in one of the season’s key clashes. It arrives in time to find Jose Mourinho’s Blues flying high on top of the table, while Louis van Gaal’s United struggle to break out of a state of flux.

The script points to a comfortable away win, with Fantasy managers eagerly awaiting the visitors’ team sheet and the potential “revelation” that Diego Costa defies the claims of his manager to spearhead the Chelsea attack. We’re in for a fascinating afternoon.

Mark Mark created the beast. He's now looking to tame it.

I think Chelsea has spurned multiple opportunities in the first half, so unlike them.

I think that has been the only difference so far.

Best I've seen United play this season..and for the record just one striker and more defensive...Lesson learned for LVG and his daft "philosophy" ideas ?

But how many times have they randomly lost the ball?

The fact that they have been unpunished is a completely different matter.

His formation arguably gets the better out of ADM by having him run centrally and be more of a playmaker as opposed to winger. Defence is definitely more solid in 433 though

I'm not liking adm on the right, hopefully they swap when the game opens up late on

People are thinking about dropping Diego Costa to fund Alexis: after intl break, Chelsea go to Anfield, and then play WBA, sun, TOT, new. Arsenal have swa, MUN, wba, SOT, stoke. Now tell me if you really trust Arsenal in those fixtures.

too long term to consider, Costa injury maybe more serious

For me it's more about the uncertainty surrounding Costa. It would be fine if we knew is he injured or not and for how long.

Even if I hear he's out for QPR, I'm not selling. I'll drop him only if his selling price goes below 10.5.
