There was just a wafer-thin point separating myself and Granville in Gameweek 11, despite my rivals decision to ignore the force of nature that is Alexis Sanchez.

In a svelte but packed episode of the ScoutCast, my co-host and I discuss the Chilean’s “essential” charms and pile praise on the reborn Stewart Downing and the new, reliable Leighton Baines v2.

Around the usual regulars, we drop in on some old favourites, as Aleks Kolarov discovers new methods of running Granville’s Gameweek and I somehow manufacture a way of snuggling under the Van Persie duvet. We also carry on nudging the Harry Kane-wagon, run our teams through the Gargatron computer and go on “Warnock Watch” once more.

Squeeze into this episode out via this link or sample its tautness via the player below…

Mark Mark created the beast. He's now looking to tame it.

Kane is a big risk unless he is your 8th attacker ie can be benched. You will have backed yourself into a corner as you can't upgrade again without a hit

Assist king Dusan Tadic needs to score
    more goals, says Southampton boss
    Ronald Koeman

i guess that would make some claim for people taking a punt on tadic this week..koeman went on to say that tadic needs to be more selfish in front of goal...i hope tadic takes the words seriously.....!!!

Every PL player must know FPL rules 🙂

Strikers should know an assist would score 3 points and a goal 4 points.. they must be unselfish.. and midfielders should be selfish for 2 points difference..

Scraping the barrel here but any decent mids at 5.3m or under (already have Boyd). Looking at Milner who has excellent stats but a rotation risk. Anyone else to consider in that price range?

Think you should keep eriksen though because spurs have handy fixtures and to get more of an idea as to where he sits in the team

          • 14 Years

I would ship sterling. I'm still stinging from Eriksens 0 last week... Worse than that though he looks completely ineffective out wide and had I gone Chadli originally I wouldn't have this headache!!

He played so well vs city away and needs to be in the hole

But I'm in the same boat as you that it would be for a hit, and the only real option I see is chadli. But I just don't like how sporadic spurs are these days, and their changing of formations.
I don't know why poch doesn't just leave eriksen in the hole. Like you said, he was awesome there in the hole against city and hopefully for you he puts him back there this weekend

if I do A, I would keep Welbeck for another week... meaning I still need two transfers the following week. So basically, it's -8 over 2 GW... the question is whether to do it front loaded or spread the transfers

        1. Twisted Saltergater
          • 16 Years
          11 years, 1 month ago

Yep, Welbeck has to go. I've taken a 4 pt hit 3 weeks running to make the changes I felt I needed. I won't be taking a hit this week but agree that you need to get in the players you think will score well. Sanchez is definitely one of those while Welbeck is needing a lot of chances to score.

Morning all, would really appreciate your help with this decision.

    Fabregas to:

    A. Tadic
    B. Di Maria

I also have Pelle and Hazard in my team. In a couple of weeks, I'm looking to bring in Bony for Pelle if his form continues and keep Tadic due to his set piece and penalty duties. Going Di Maria means another potential captain option, but tricky to get Costa back in (2 FTs). Bit concerned by Tadic' lack of goal threat but with LEI, avl up next, I quite fancy the double up.

    Costa. Buy or Hold?
I remember reading reports prior to his QPR comeback that he may undergo a surgery in the next international break to rectify his dodgy hamstring. If this has some truth in it, he may miss additional weeks post surgery. So also considering the fact that Chelsea fixtures are about to turn sweet, what do we do with Mr.Costa( those who don't have him)?

      That's a nice team,
Unless hazard to Oscar and wellbeck to berahino -4?

Sterling + Welbeck -> Sanchez + Sakho if you have the money or cheaper FWD.

I now see you don't have the funds. So maybe bring in Fletcher? Could be a hit differential.

No one, as getting Sanchez in is a daft thing to do atm. 2-3 weeks ago it was understandable but not now. You're too late I'm afraid.

So I have 1FT, and 0.2 in the bank. Is Welbeck to Sakho a wise move? Team is:

    Krul (mannone)

    Betrand - Baines - Tomkins (Hutton-Moore)

ADM - Fab - Siggy - Sanchez (boyd)

    Costa - Pelle - Welbeck

City out of the champs league. Chelsea wins the PL. Manuel is a goner.

City wouldn't have made it far in CL even if they somehow managed to escape the group. They are disastrous in Europe regardless of manager, they have been bad for the past couple of years with no signs of improving whatsoever.

They have had the same manager for past couple of years so hard to justify that statement

They had Mancini in 2012-13, and the year before that. Managed a third place in what appears to be the easiest group for them so far.

Pelle and Fabregas yellows would really make next weeks transfers a whole lot easier

How likely is ADM to fall tonight? He's currently at -90.7 on fpl stats.

I'm quite desperate for him to fall as I'm currently £0.1m short of Eriksen to ADM.

It's going to be close. I thought he would at the start of the week. Needs a few late Sanchez transfers.

I really can't fathom people selling ADM this week. I got rid last week to get Sanchez in time for Burnley, but the plan was always to find a way to get ADM back in time for CPL, doubly so with Jedinak out. Some people are going to be feeling very silly this weekend.

Pelle has form and fixture, ADM has fixture, Aguero has kinda form and kinda fixture (QPR playing much better last few)

Leaning towards ADM for his set pieces

Aguero has proven class, is by far the bookies' favourite to score, and against qpr. I really can't see qpr holding them at all.
