We’re almost there. After three months, countless RMT’s (That’s Rate-My-Team for our new readers), a whole host of injury scares and the regular gamut of transfer talk, the season is now just hours away.

This means just one thing- it’s time for a host of the Fantasy Football Scout team to start off one last debate by sticking our necks on the line with predictions for the year to come. As evidenced by last year, our choices can range from the sublime to the ridiculous – let’s see how the cards fall for 2011/12…

I, Andy, kick things off by singling out teams and players I am not perhaps known for endorsing. Towing the party line, then, I’ve done everything I can to make my predictions as impartial as possible. Not believe me? Look- no Fernando Torres…

    I'm a bit confused...

    Van Persie Premier league appearances

    04/05 - 26
    05/06 - 24
    06/07 - 22
    07/08 - 15
    08/09 - 28
    09/10 - 16
    10/11 - 25

How is he gonna be top FPL scorer and Bonus darling if he's broken for large parts of the season?

He's fit now, that's all that matters. Of course, he has a history of injuries, but it doesn't mean he will definitely pick one up again this season.

Already picked one up pre-season, doesn't bode well.

Arsenal also have 5 fixtures until the end of August, with a two-legged CL qualifying tie against Udinese crammed between the PL games. An international break follows that. I would be worried.

Last year I had a bit of a fender bender. I hit the back of a car in Dublin but luckily I was going slow enough that there was no damage done to either car. We exchanged details, the police were there to make sure we did so, then we went on our way. A few months later I get a letter from Aviva saying that the guy had claimed for car damage, injury and loss of earnings. They gave him a ridiculous settlement. My insurance is up for renewal next month and today I got a letter from Aviva to say what it will cost. Last year I paid €850. This year they're kindly offering €1600.

Moral of the story? If you crash into someone, make sure to take photos. Also, if someone crashes into you, claim claim claim like a mother f**ker because it really does not pay to be honest.

I'm such an idiot. Should have taken loads of photos. The police even had a hard time finding us when they arrived because we just seemed like two regular cars parked on the street. No damage at all. Oh well, I think I'll just invest in a bicycle. No insurance, tax or petrol.

Who's likely to be the starting back 4 for Fulham this season? Hangeland/Hughes/Baird/?. Any sign of Senderos near the first team?

Just got in from work & wondered if they'd been any talk of whether Enrique is likely to start for Pool this GW?

      Hey Champ

They will play 4-3-3, they will play Drogba OR Torres, those who don't start this week may well get a chance next.

Anyone have a clue on Newcastle midfield?? Thinking Marvaeux or Vuckic could be a good way to save money if starters???
