We’re almost there. After three months, countless RMT’s (That’s Rate-My-Team for our new readers), a whole host of injury scares and the regular gamut of transfer talk, the season is now just hours away.

This means just one thing- it’s time for a host of the Fantasy Football Scout team to start off one last debate by sticking our necks on the line with predictions for the year to come. As evidenced by last year, our choices can range from the sublime to the ridiculous – let’s see how the cards fall for 2011/12…

I, Andy, kick things off by singling out teams and players I am not perhaps known for endorsing. Towing the party line, then, I’ve done everything I can to make my predictions as impartial as possible. Not believe me? Look- no Fernando Torres…

So there we have it, that’s how the Scouts see it; no need for any of this fantasy lark as we’re clearly going to be 100% correct. Remember this post at season’s end for all the good choices and forget it for those that end up down the garden path. Who are your choice picks for the 2011/12 season?

Of Malouda, Young and Silva, who would you drop? I have Bent, Carrol and Holt or Campbell, but I might drop Carrol for RVP and bench him for two gameweeks to to have him for his good run of fixtures but avoid the price rise.

Aguero, Tevez, Rooney, Drogba/Torres, RVP, Bent, Suarez, Carroll

9 very viable options for 3 spots up front(based on form fixtures and future security of roles etc) who guarantee points
Good budget strikers seem few and far between
In midfield there are about 10 viable budget players at 7.5 and below.. and Silva, Malouda, Nani in upper price brackets who have rotation risk etc against them..
3 top strikers for me and a 7.5 and below midfield

Unless I take a punt on Alex or Bosingwa, I'm gonna double up on Citeh with no Chelsea at the back until we've had a good look at their line-up in the first few games. With a bit of luck Alex, Luiz or Bosingwa will nail down a spot.

Do love this Orr / Gabbidon debate. Somewhat mental to me, seems you're splitting hairs over a possible 2 points - QPR aren't about to keep a load of clean sheets.

It's a tricky one. All leave me with 1m in the bank so some flexibility for a GW2 transfer.

Swaying towards A for fixtures, set pieces and flexibility to get either Malouda or N'Zog in GW2.

Afternoon chaps. I can't for the life of me decide between these two teams. The 3-4-3 is definitely more risky but is it worth the risk?

    OPTION 1: 4-4-2
    Given (Ruddy)
    Vidic | Kompany | Enrique | A Cole
    N'Zogbia | Moses | Silva | Sessegnon
    Rooney | Caroll (c)

    Subs: Orr, Obertan, Lita

    OPTION 2: 3-4-3
    Given (Ruddy)
    Smalling | Kompany | Bosingwa
    N'Zogbia | Moses | Silva | Sessegnon
    Rooney | Caroll (c) | Gervinho

    Subs: Enrique, Orr, Obertan

    Any thoughts appreciated!

      They're both weak.

Don't take risks on the likes of Smalling and Bosingwa.

Also, always play 3-4-3 or 3-5-2 unless you have defenders with a double gameweek.

Denilson has left the club also.

Will be Wilshere Song and Ramsey in the centre with the possibility of new signings to compete with the latter two for places

Denilson is also utter shite. Probably the only "creative" midfielder who seemingly can't pass the ball forward.

He'll have to beat off stiff competition from Flamini, Vieira, Petit, Michael Thomas and Liam Brady.

Finished my team for tomorrow, just wondering if anyone could anything catastrophic within?

    Schwarzer (Given)
    Lescott/Kompany/Gabbidon (Bramble/Simpson)
    Ramsey/Anderson/Silva/Malouda/Moses
    RvP/Carroll (Holt)

I know I have two gambles in midfield in Ramsey & Anderson but I feel they're fair gambles really.
