We’re almost there. After three months, countless RMT’s (That’s Rate-My-Team for our new readers), a whole host of injury scares and the regular gamut of transfer talk, the season is now just hours away.

This means just one thing- it’s time for a host of the Fantasy Football Scout team to start off one last debate by sticking our necks on the line with predictions for the year to come. As evidenced by last year, our choices can range from the sublime to the ridiculous – let’s see how the cards fall for 2011/12…

I, Andy, kick things off by singling out teams and players I am not perhaps known for endorsing. Towing the party line, then, I’ve done everything I can to make my predictions as impartial as possible. Not believe me? Look- no Fernando Torres…

Little light on Man City - but I guess it's tricky to find the right player from them.

I like your team, but I'd also be concerned about having two expensive Liverpool players attackers when they go to Arsenal in GW2.

      Cahill has shoddy fixtures.

If you're backing on him getting a move, then probably best to wait.

Otherwise I like it. Do you have a plan to possibly upgrade Drogba if need be after GW1?

No need for Bent and NZog
Carroll over Bent. If Downing plays well, then Carroll plays well imo

        N’Zogbia – Downing – Malouda – Sinclair – Moses
        Drogba – Carroll – Holt

Lescott - Taylor - Gabbidon (Brown, Warnock)

Malouda - Nani - Taarabt - Moses (Hoolahan)

Van Persie - Dzeko - Zamora

1.5 in the bank to bring in Baines. Warnock to Enrique soon enough. Only remaining decision is whether to ditch those two for Kompany and Alex and go for Suarez up front. But I really want me some Baines.

I'm pretty happy with my team but it fills the 100m slot to capacity and my original plan was to save .5 for transfers. Only obvious downgrade would be Lescott to Kompany.

Anyone else worried about not having .5 going spare?

I;m playing Enrique on the presumption he will either start (most unlikely) or not.

Ok, well i've taken into account what others have said.

    My NEW and IMPROVED side

    Given
    Kompany Enrique Rafael Alex (Simpson)
    Nani Taarabt N'zog Silva (Ferguson)
    Drogba RVP (Campbell)

Basically swapped Enrique for Kompany and took out Rodellega for Campbell.

    Attack still too heavily invested??

players in there who might not play gw1

def is poor - too much invested in 2 players

          3 good mids - 2 risks

This comment is a load of sh*t.

            Defence is good.

Midfield is generic. Which is good. 3 Good. I cheapie with great fixtures. 1 punt. It is a struggle to do much more without taking a hit in other areas.

Perhaps swap suarez out for carroll if you can afford.

            8/10

peoples thoughts on schwarzer? Have had given in the whole time but looking at fulhams fixtures I am thinking of switching although Jol doesnt have the best defensive records with his teams?

    thoughts?

N'Zogbia or Downing? I got Carroll and Bent! 8.5 to spend, any better options than them maybe?

N'Zogbia, he's the only real goalscoring and assist AV have, will work well with Bent.
Carroll though, has Downing, Kuyt, Suarez and Adam to assist.
