While Gameweek 15 is shaping up to be one to forget for many Fantasy managers, our analysis of the weekend’s statistics for members offers some insight to distract us, notably the growing influence of Yannick Bolasie and West Ham’s efforts to maximise the formidable weapon that is Andy Carroll.

Mark Mark created the beast. He's now looking to tame it.

Dammit the word is out on Bolaise. He has been high on my wishlist for a few weeks now. Incoming on Jan WC for sure if I don't get to him before that. Pantillimon as well. The keeper to own imo. Tbh, the more red on the ticker, the better. Most of Manone's big hauls last season came against the top 6.

Those Mannone hauls really helped me at the end of last season.

Yes, I spotted Bolasie earlier and was hoping he'd fly under the radar a little longer. 🙁

Exactly. Due respect lads, he isn't a secret. But, for all the dynamism and dazzle, he is averaging just over 3pts per week.

1.6% ownership is hardly mainstream anyway.

Lampard is the player to bring in. He's in good form.

Good shout. 1 pointer cameos put me off a bit, but could see some more gametime now with Aguero out.

Yet. Only a matter of time before Palace string a few results togetherand he is amongst the points. At 5.5 I'm not asking for a 7 ppg average either

3-5-2 Lampard is good for a low price midfielder, granted he won't start but expect and assist or a goal. He is in the box constantly.

True, but with his stats he might start soon. Having said that, Tadic kind of shows that stats don't always equal points. Bolasie is only a monitor at present, but it would have been nice if not everyone was monitoring him.

Well there are six players valued at 5.7 or less that have out scored him, and a further three that equal his score. You'd only want one in that bracket presumably.

Don't get me wrong, he is a fine player and a lot of fun to watch. Hence why they regularly feature him on MOTD.

I just don't think he's this well kept secret tbh.

As a former Tadic owner I recommend you avoid. Maddening!!

    Currently thinking of these transfers:

Aguero, Fabregas, Siggy --------> Yaya, Hazard, Bony

Is it stupid to trade out Siggy? Already have Naylor and Bony

    Cheers!

I'd keep Siggy tbh as I don't see better alternatives at his price. There are plenty of fw options at Bony's price. Siggy had one good chance today, would have had a second if Montero played the ball properly and was instrumental in the goal they did score, albeit assistedthe assister.

You'd play Henderson away to Man U or take a hit moving him out ?

Liverpool are also playing Arsenal the week after Man U.

He may not score many but he does come with assist potential. The fact 1/3rd of the top 10k (and me) owned him illustrates he was a sensible squad player - and this was always a fixture owners were highly likely to start him in.

Regarding Costa and any other players who were playing in La Liga, Bundesliga, Ligue 1, etc last season, lets remember that they all had a lovely 2 week holiday from Christmas to mid-January last season and before, so this will be their first time experiencing a hectic winter schedule...

Just something to bear in mind, as managers might be tempted to give those guys some extra rest and play their PL-veterans (i.e. Drogba/Remy over Costa, Andy Carroll over Sakho/Valencia, Bony over Gomis, etc)

Why are people holding off Sakho/Bony/Yaya just because of ACON? It's a month away and they're just a transfer away to sort. With good planning, it won't be a problem for your team. Would get them in regardless - if you think they will get points for your team.

Hey Badger , you dont look too bad maybe just Chadli and Kun to go .
Hutton on bench though , not nice.

Yeah , I must remember not to double up with cheap defenders.
Saints were an exception , with their excellent run of fixtures.

Having Foster , Wisdom normally gets left on the bench.
With you it's Guzan and Hutton

I'd rather points on the bench though than no points. Getting Guzan was the right move. Having Hutton was the right move.

Debuchy back too is also a worry. Cheers mate

Yeah Newcastle are in form ... but i think Chelsea are the bogie side for them. I would also expect Arsenal to really tighten up this week given recent disasters.

Chelsea ... they'll finish with 5+ more clean sheets at the end of the season than any other.

General trend is that Chelsea, Arsenal, Man U and Man City start tightening up at the back after Christmas.

I wouldn't wildcard because those red flagged players are mostly good picks who you might regret not having from the next week. If you wildcard you might end up selling them all and wanting them back!

I'd probably sell Aguero, Moore and maybe one more. Leave 3 benched

        Agree with this ^

Ride the storm with a 4 point hit at most and things will look much rosier this time next week.

That wildcard will serve you much better in March / April with DGWs, etc.

        Aguero Fabregas Marney out
Costa Yaya Bolaise In for -8

        Team would be
        Forster
        Hutton Naylor Terry
        Hazard Sanchez Yaya Bolaise Downing
        Costa Benteke
Bench - Gilks Austin Chambers Moore

Anyone else feel like you don't want to spend all your money?

I need to sell Aguero. Don't want to sell sig or downing. If I sell Boyd I'll have benching issues. Don't want Rooney. Got Costa.

So any move I can think of will leave me with 5m+ in the bank! (Already got 1.7)

    Very strange year!

Get yourself a fancy defender. It's going to be tough these next coupple of weeks. Wth Aguero tying up so much of people's cash I was all set to capitalize on putting my extra cash to good use. Now seem slike everyone will have money to burn

Don't believe so, not his game, that's why Dzeko is the better bet aat the moment imo.
Both may start or Dzeko on his own, 60+ minutes till he gets his full fitness I reckon.

Evening. In figuring out my forward line when I ship Aguero, I am a bit concerned in going too cheap and therefore eliminating a spot that also gives my team another captaincy option.

I know I shouldn't consider price when figuring out the armband, but if I spread the wealth from my Aguero sale I might be left with only Hazard and Sanchez. Not sure if that is enough, and even if I get Costa my squad would be looking at only two fixtures since Aguero is the only fixture proof option there has been.

What genuine captaincy options are there besides those two big mids? Yaya, Costa, Rooney?

Yup exact thoughts going through my mind at the moment. The incoming player would have to be a reasonable captaincy contender.

Rooney's the most captainable of the replacements. RVP at a stretch.
Lukaku has the fixtures but he's a troll
Benteke is a good captain option in isolation but you'd never know which VIlla team show up, he depends on service.
      Dzeko - is Dzeko
Bony - Swansea don't attack enough to warrant the armband on their attackers. Though they do seem to make the most of whenever they attack

But Costa seems the most sensible replacement if you dont already have him

I've captained Austin for two of the last three GWs. He got me a goal and an assist in each.

Granted the added present of a red card!

But at home he can be trusted because he is the focal point and QPR score goals at Loftus.

He will be my captain against WBA in the week following his suspension too.
