Actual Bonus Points will be shown when added – all points are provisional until then.

Gameweek 16

Mark Mark created the beast. He's now looking to tame it.

    How many hits has everyone taken this season?

    I'm on 7 total and think it's a bit much. Clearly different situations dictate different necessary moves but I feel like my rank has benefited from being steady with the transfers rather than chasing points every time.

      I took a hit twice this season.
      GW 13 - took a -4 hit and got a small green
      GW 14 - took a -8 hit and got a big green.

      Too many, wish I hadn't. Have had some bad luck but also have made the wrong call a lot of the time and probably should've played my WC. Used hits because I wanted to save it for late in the season. Time will tell whether that was a good call or not.

      7 as well here, took some stupid & unnecessary one early on, being nearly clueless on it;s effect on my team

      Though since Gw4 or so, my hits have been out of necessity & injuries piling up
      Still have my WC though, hoping it takes me outta the gutter 😉

    Can I get some feed back on this?

    1 FT, 4.2 ITB
    Heaton / / / Krul
    Ivan, Wisdom, Yun / / / Chambers, Moore
    Sanchez, Fabregas, Mata, Downing / / / Boyd
    Costa / Lukaku / Kane

    Three contenders to leave my team are Krul, Moore and Lukaku. Who should I get rid off first?

    Could be:
    A) Krul -> Hart (Heaton is looking at some very tough fixtures)
    B) Moore -> Demi / Zaba
    C) Lukaku -> RVP

    Or maybe Boyd -> Nasri for City attacking cover?

        Don't know much about Krull's injury. If he can really come back for GW 19, then B is the best way to go. Would like to avoid GK transfer.
        How about Lukaku? You reckon I should keep?

        I'd rather have Yaya right now. Eriksen has looked good but Yaya really ought to be given massive freedom to get forward. City getting a penalty or 2 wouldn't hurt either.

      I'm pretty high on him at the moment. Coming into the preseason I thought he was a bit underpriced (He was every bit as good as Silva/Ozil/some other 9.0 million options), and although he's been fairly inconsistent and failed to score in "easy" matches, he hasn't blanked more than 3 weeks in a row. He's a classy player who takes a lot of shots and has excellent set piece delivery. Strong endorsement are my thoughts, although competition for midfield places is fierce and Spurs have been somewhere between lucky and meh.

          Yeah I mean nothing screaming out to me needing changing. That defense is quite a mess but not sure it's worth using a transfer on it right now. I think Yaya again for captain. I'd start Naylor Yun and one of your Soton guys. I guess you could maybe lose one of your Soton defenders for a Chelsea defender. That would probably be a good transfer to make.

      Hey Muppet 😉
      I'd save for this coming GW, doesn't have the making of any worthy moves tbh
      You have the two homies with the Saints, & look solid for now.

      Though as many have suggested, I think it's time to move on from at least ONE saint.
      Berty --> Terry good?

    Need to replace Berahino and Chadli. Was gonna go for Austin and Mirallas and then he got injured. So since there's such a lack of midfield options < 7.5 (the max if I get Austin), I'm thinking I'll have to go to Kane and then upgrade Chadli to one of Eriksen, Mata or Cazorla, thoughts?

          You could do Eriksen but I hate the way he scores and the blanks atleast twice before another points haul.

          Also, if you change Baines to Bertrand I played the same defenders and midfield 4 as you, worth mentioning I thought.

      Yeah. Just gonna keep and hope they get a pen or two, honestly, until the wildcard. There really aren't a whole ton of defensive options or any teams with really great fixtures bar City for the next few weeks and I've got Hart already in and no matter who they play I don't want to double on their defense. Probably not worth transferring him out.

    2. Mile Plankton - Myth and Ch…

      Don't have him either, but it should imo.
      Especially if Pienaar starts playing on the left alongside Baines. That'll mean points for Baines and Lukaku.

      I also think McCarthy is a huge factor. If the DMs can solidify the center then both Baines and Coleman can bomb, especially if Pienaar is the Mirallas replacement.

    A point return from Baines in his first week in my team.
    A dampener on what was a good week overall for my side..

    Shyyyte.
    Asian Cup starts on January 9th.
    Will Yun stay for GWs 19 and 20?

      I would assume so. Doesn't take a week to get from London to Asia.

        I'm sure they'll want more than a week together before the first game.

          Well I need him to be around for my FPL team so surely that takes precedence... 😀

    Good night folks; any thoughts on the below options? Currently leaning towards A.

    Begovic
    Baines || Naylor || Chambers
    Hazard || Sanchez || Siggy || Downing
    Rooney (C) || Costa || Bony

    4.0 || Yun || Boyd || Moore - 1 FT, 0.4 ITB

    Options:

    A) Baines & Bego ---> Hart & Demichelis (Can see 3/4 clean sheets in City next 4, Moore ---> O'Shea next gw)
    B) Moore ---> B Davies (Good for next 2 games and gets rid of non-playing Moore)
    C) Chambers ---> Jones/Evans
    D) Save and do Bego & Chambers ---> Panti & Clichy next gw

    Thanks in advance.

    So.... James Milner. Discuss.

      If he plays up top for the next 4 gw's, he's FPL gold.

        This is what I'm thinking. I remember what a prospect he was as a teenager in that role. How do we rate his chances of that though? Am I getting lost in wishful thinking?

          Not at all as he was mentioned as an option from Pelle. He's a hard player to place as he does so many things well but nothing fabulously. I think he is a pretty good crosser of the ball and with his work rate I usually like him best when he is playing as a winger. He can get behind a fullback pretty decently. One thing that I do not think he has in his locker is much of a goal threat so I am a bit skeptical.

            Poor Scott Sinclair... if ever there were a moment.

          I think its wishful thinking. That said, if Pellegrini wants someone who's going to work himself into the ground making good runs in the channels, then Milner is probably the best choice.

      May well be an option. Not the best eye for goal but if he has a good game playing as false nine he should be on everyone's radar. I want to see it first, though.

      As a punt it's interesting, where will he play though?

        The hope is as striker. The reality is probably on the bench.

        Yeah, I'm wondering whether going Yaya and Milner is a good double up. Need to lose Dzeko as a priority, but really getting sucked in to the Milner punt too...

        Are we likely to find out how the three mentioned by Pelle get on in training, or is it a case of letting this game go and getting aboard after that?

        Sinclair could also be an option.
