QPR’s home hitman hogs the array of impressive numbers on show from the weekend, ably assisted by stellar showings from Tottenham’s Harry Kane and Christian Eriksen. Elsewhere in our regular members’ statistical digest, we examine how Man City’s tactical tweaks influenced two of their key midfielders and analyse how a pair of returning United assets are hinting at major hauls as their minutes begin to build.
Any suggestions with what to do with this?
2FT 0.5 itb
Guzan
Baines Zaba Wisdom Dummett Duff*
Sanchez Haz Yaya Eriksen Siggy
Costa Austin Sakho
Thinking either Duff to O'Shea, or Baines Sakho to O'Shea BentekeI'm thinking of doing those very same moves: Baines Sakho to O'shea Benteke. I think they're quite good moves. Are you worried about Sakho rotation?
Sakho to Kane and upgrade Duff to Debuchy.
That is very good, thanks
Also thinking Duff to O'Shea, or maybe Yun to O'Shea. I have a bevvy of injured, cheap defenders with spoor fixtures.
When will PL players leave for the ACON?
it is suggested after the new year fixtures
Think they will still the fixtures on the 10th/11th January?
That's about right cat in the hat
nope
Which Arsenal player will haul in the points vs QPR?
I say... Santi CazorlaGiroud looks the best bet
this
yep greedy boy
Im gonna go for Podolski
Wally
Hmm hard to see a start there, but maybe
I'm hoping Sanchez, he's the only on eI have an dafter today I would n't transfer anyone in. Giroud will undoubtedly score more goals over next 10 weeks though (if he stays fit) .
and after
wouldn't surprise me if Sanchez is rested. Didn't look that great today
Podolski
Sakho->Kane or 5th Mid->Silva
The latter
Maybe the latter as I don't think there is much between Sakho and Kanes next 5
a) Bench one: Carroll Siggy Fabregas
b) Play one: Wisdom Hutton
c) Captain one: Hazard Sanchez Yayaa) S
b) W
c) HCarroll
Hutton
Hazarda) Carroll
b) Hutton
c) Sanchez, but VC Haz in case Sanchez doesn't play
Stuck at bottom of last page..
Anybody know for sure if Giroud is now penalty taker or will Santi continue on them?
Close to going Siggy to CarzolaCazorla
Set piece takers show Giroud ahead of santi
Giroud is on pens for sure, in any case Arteta takes them above all
A Carroll
B Hutton
C HazardCheers
Welbeck played 90 minutes today? Didn't even notice him.
Passenger. He's average. Been saying it for ages
if he doesn't score he is average? Welbeck is more than goals, his off the ball movent allowing for others to get space is great.
Lol. Wow
Welbeck a tool. Not a good enough scorer for a forward
It's alright though, he's erm, movement off the ball *which is defensive* creates space for others
Henderson tripped over him a few times
I'm pretty worried about Alexis. His output has dropped massively recently. He's clearly knackered. Anyone thinking about dropping him?
I don't have the cohonas but I do think been shoved out wide Giroud hasn't helped
It's more to do with the formation change than anything else. Completely different role
Indeed. Being shoved out wide certainly hasn't helped, but just looking at his energy levels, they seem massively lower than in previous weeks.
Yeah definitely. Cazorla is so much more fresh and it's showing. Playing some great stuff.
It's just an absolutely terrifying prospect dropping Sanchez and seeing him score a brace with that ownership, price etc. It's the formation
I think he is less attractive now that Giroud is back. Does anyone have any stats on Sanchez score when Giroud is in playing?
He doesn't seem to be near the goal either.
Which of these look best?
A. Siggy -> Sterling
B. Sakho -> Benteke
C. Save FTC
Assuming that Siggy is fit for AVL match, I would say C. this week and then A. next week.
this
Cheers lads!
Was anyone on here a few years back when we decided to test the theory that eating cheese late night before bed gave you nightmares? 😆
I wasn't.. but I've just eaten 2 toasted cheese sandwiches.
I shall update you in the morning. The pickled onions may be the killer here
This happened to me a couple of nights ago. I went to a french restaurant and had a rich, cheesy sauce with some mussels. Had a horrific dream. "?
I was probably here but I hate cheese unless it's toasted or in a protein shake 🙂
Cheese in a protein shake? 😕
Having said that if you work out and take Leucine, that smells like cheesy socks.
Milk,Greek yogurt,raw egg,2 spoons peanut butter,2 scoops Cottage cheese,Almonds,oats FTW
I was on here when a certain A.P said the game would open at 3 a.m to avoid too much activity on the server 😆
melted cheese ftw
#no nightmares #scrumptiouswe need an expert
where's cheesoid?
Anybody watxh the whole utd match?
How were adm and falcao?ADM only played 25 minutes, finding his legs. couple shots, nothing spectacular.
Falcao good movement but also not really that spectacular, though his goal was a very nice header.
Those bringing in Cazorla..
a) He's on 4 yellows
b) Surely he'll be rotated?
c) 2 tough away games to West Ham and SouthamptonHome to west ham, but yeah, be wary.
Away to West Ham
They're playing West Ham at Stamford Bridge.
We're talking about Cazorla here mate..?
😯 Ahh lol. My bad mate. Thought I read Costa and saw West ham next up. Time to log off I think.
It'd be a one week captaincy transfer.
Rotation could start vs qpr
D) amazing form
E) proven fpl option
F) plum fixture this week
Guys, what changes would you suggest for this team?
Guzan
Baines / Azpi / Wisdom
Sanchez / Haz / Yaya / Siggy
Lukaku / Bony / Austin
(Mccarthy / Downing / Yun / Saylor)
2 FT & 0.9m itbBaines and Siggy > Debuchy and ADM for a hit
How's it look?Dont take hits. For all you know the former will probably outscore the latter
Don't take hits.....ever?
That's flawed advice mate come on 😉During the festive period
Do you like the look of the moves or no good?
Nope from me
Cheers Berbz
What kind of logic is that?
Don't make any transfers at all while you're at it, incase the ones you transfer out outscore the ones you transfer in.Take hits during the next 10 days and tell me how it goes
agree. taking hits during this period of rotation is nuts. you'll take a hit just to watch them sit out the game. learned this the hard way last year. Man City rested all their top players vs. a woeful Crystal Palace.
Never dont take hits. For all you know the latter will probably absolutely outscore the former.
😉
Nonetheless, I'd give Baines & Siggy another week if I'm honest
not a fan of Arsenal defense. They gave up two lousy goals today. Debuchy won't score that often, and is a YC magnet at time.
They will tighten up when kos is back.
A) Foster/Baines/Downing
OR
B) 4.0/O'Shea/ADMWho to play from this bunch in gameweek 18 chaps? After 4 or 3 if Bertrand seems a good bet...
A) Lamela
B) Tadic
C) Lampard
D) Montero
E) Walcott
F) Barkleythink this is the same draft question?
lammy;lamps;monty and berkCheers, it is. Is Monty fit and will he start do you think?
A) Siggy ➡ ADM for free
B) Save FTA. Easy.
Wish I had the funds to do this without a hitThanks. So I'm assuming ADM looked lively when he came on?
Yeah heavily involved. Cheaper than Rooney, Falcao and RVP.
I want him. Badly.
A-although not sure if ADM is the right choice.
Hmm. Who would you suggest?
Midfield is Haz, Alexis, Siggy, Downing, Boyd.
Not a fan of Silva and can't afford YYT.I was going to suggest one of those 2! Maybe ADM then in that case. Sterling perhaps?
Could do Sterling, although BR said he is due a rest soon
Don't know your team, you might already have city covered but Siggy>Silva strikes me as better, and cheaper.
So I've been running the stats for the Stoke-Chelsea game with the view to find a value bet. This is what I came to:
GOALS/BTTS
Chelsea - less than convincing record on the road in the PL of late, 3 draws, 1 loss and 2 wins in 6. They have scored 7 in 6, and kept only 1 clean sheet in 6 as well. Average match goals = 2.16
Stoke meanwhile have scored 9 in 6 home games, but only managed 1 clean sheet in the process. Average match goals = 2.75
In the Premier League, Stoke have scored 5 in 5 against Chelsea at home, however have failed to score in 2 of those 5 matches. Meanwhile Chelsea averaged 1.8 goals a game at the Britannia in their last 5 meetings, failing to score in only 1 of the 5.
CONCLUSION: On paper, the home/away averages of this season suggest a game with either 2 or 3 goals, which can be backed at evens. However given the past encounters between the two teams, BTTS at Evens+ looks good value (given this seasons stats it has approx 75% chance of occurring). Stoke haven't kept a clean sheet in 10 PL games and Chelsea have only kept 1 clean sheet in 8 away games.
TIP - BTTS @ 2.00 to 2.10 (if you shop around)
P.S. - 1.61 for a Chelsea win looks horrible value (like you didn't know that already), I'd more happily plump for a 1-2 correct score at 9.00, or Chelsea to win by a 1 goal margin at 3.40.
That was exhausting work, took ages, what do you think?
(And yes I know I post about betting a lot, mainly because betting forums are full primarily home to brainless addicts)As long as Begovic makes 15 saves and Azpi scores a goal I'm not too fussed tbh
2-0 to Chelsea I think.
What you say makes sense, but as a double Chelsea defence owner, I am going to blindly disagree with you and say that Chelsea will keep a clean sheet 😀
1 cleanie in 8...would be a serious troll if they did 🙂
I also like Chelsea to score exactly 2 goals at 3.60
Hazard 15/8 anytime.
Rather late and too much Single malt on board ( mindless addict) to really dig the detail but I have to admire your detail.
However given your analysis buying at 2.00-2.1 looks very sound investment.interesting to me -like the logic-will take the tip
1-0 Chelsea, probably an Oscar free kick or something goofy. Costa will get a YC, as it is away and especially because it is Stoke
Stuck money on Chelsea to win and BTTS at 4.0
Anyone else considering Walters for the 5th mid slot?
With squad rotation over the next few, it seems like a necessary upgrade from the cheapies.
He rotates perfectly with Siggy and seems to be somewhat fixture proof over the last few weeks.Baines, Siggy > O'Shea, Cazorla no hits?
Would Cazorla 100% start? He's been their best player in the last 2 games. AW might want him fresh for West Ham
I'll be stunned if he drops Cazorla. He's not played that much this season, not nearly as much as Sanchez.
Current DF:
Baines - Clyne - Naylor- Yun - Moore
Good enough to start the first three this week, I feel.
I plan for Baines -> Zab next gameweek. But Yun's injury caused me zero backup in case Zab doesn't play. Looking elsewhere and then .. Skrtel?Who would have thought Cazorla would be on a suspension tightrope above all players haaha
Mental.
Shows what a pansy game football has turned into
Playing in central midfield has made him tackle like Scholes 😛
Charlie Austin is third in the golden boot. 1 of Costa.
Who saw that after Costa;s start?Me. Austin owner GW1 and 2.
Pick 1 from each group to score most points until the Wildcard!
1. Silva/Sterling/Siggy/
2. Baines/Zabaleta/ Clichy/
Baines, Cahill, Clyne, Wisdom, Naylor
Sanchez, Hazard, Downing, Siggy, Marney my current players
Thanks..1. Sterling
2. ZabaletaSterling over Silva.. interesting!
What's the main reason for that?
I have money to upgrade my mid. So, I am doing Catermole to Mid of 10.0m£.
I was thinking either Sterling or Cazorla? What do you think for the next 3-4 gws (until WC).
Front 8 would be :
Ameobi - Downing - Haz - Yaya - Sterling/Cazorla/???
Bony - Austin - Rooney
PS : it would be for a hit.
What do you think?Going to see how Costa plays tomorrow but...
1) Giroud, Baines or
2) Costa, SkrtelSkrtel?! 🙄
Need to upgrade a defender to someone who plays but which is the best option?
2FTs
1.
Downing-------->Adam Johnson
Bartley----------->4.1 Def (Blackett, Richards (Swa), Moore, Bruce)
2.
Downing------->Walters
Bartley------->4.9 Def (N Taylor, Dann, Hutton, Vergini, O'Shea, Tomkins etc.)
3.
Downing----->Milner
Bartley------> Toure (Liv) (Already got Yaya)
4.
Downing----->Ki
Bartley------->Debuchy
5.Wait & See
Front 8 is currently:
Downing, Yaya, Sanchez, Boyd, Hazard
Costa, Benteke, RVPKeep downing. Release the cash from yaya shortly
Agreed.
Any ideas what to do with this lot? 2 FT, £0 ITB...
DDG - Elliot
Baines - Naylor - Bruce - Wisdom - Hutton
Siggy - Sanchez - Yaya - Hazard - Fer
Austin - Bony - Rooney
Getting a bit frustrated by Rooney in midfield and also looking to get rid of Baines and Siggy
Any suggestions appreciated 🙂Cazorla won't be rotated against QPR.
As usual, Arsenal don't have enough fit options.yeah this is a good point
He'll play for sure, but is it worth bringing him in when hes on 4 yellows, and also has a couple of tough away games coming up too?
