QPR’s home hitman hogs the array of impressive numbers on show from the weekend, ably assisted by stellar showings from Tottenham’s Harry Kane and Christian Eriksen. Elsewhere in our regular members’ statistical digest, we examine how Man City’s tactical tweaks influenced two of their key midfielders and analyse how a pair of returning United assets are hinting at major hauls as their minutes begin to build.

Mark Mark created the beast. He's now looking to tame it.

    Any suggestions with what to do with this?

    2FT 0.5 itb

    Guzan
    Baines Zaba Wisdom Dummett Duff*
    Sanchez Haz Yaya Eriksen Siggy
    Costa Austin Sakho

    Thinking either Duff to O'Shea, or Baines Sakho to O'Shea Benteke

      I'm thinking of doing those very same moves: Baines Sakho to O'shea Benteke. I think they're quite good moves. Are you worried about Sakho rotation?

      Also thinking Duff to O'Shea, or maybe Yun to O'Shea. I have a bevvy of injured, cheap defenders with spoor fixtures.

    So I've been running the stats for the Stoke-Chelsea game with the view to find a value bet. This is what I came to:

    GOALS/BTTS

    Chelsea - less than convincing record on the road in the PL of late, 3 draws, 1 loss and 2 wins in 6. They have scored 7 in 6, and kept only 1 clean sheet in 6 as well. Average match goals = 2.16

    Stoke meanwhile have scored 9 in 6 home games, but only managed 1 clean sheet in the process. Average match goals = 2.75

    In the Premier League, Stoke have scored 5 in 5 against Chelsea at home, however have failed to score in 2 of those 5 matches. Meanwhile Chelsea averaged 1.8 goals a game at the Britannia in their last 5 meetings, failing to score in only 1 of the 5.

    CONCLUSION: On paper, the home/away averages of this season suggest a game with either 2 or 3 goals, which can be backed at evens. However given the past encounters between the two teams, BTTS at Evens+ looks good value (given this seasons stats it has approx 75% chance of occurring). Stoke haven't kept a clean sheet in 10 PL games and Chelsea have only kept 1 clean sheet in 8 away games.

    TIP - BTTS @ 2.00 to 2.10 (if you shop around)

    P.S. - 1.61 for a Chelsea win looks horrible value (like you didn't know that already), I'd more happily plump for a 1-2 correct score at 9.00, or Chelsea to win by a 1 goal margin at 3.40.

    That was exhausting work, took ages, what do you think?
    (And yes I know I post about betting a lot, mainly because betting forums are full primarily home to brainless addicts)

      As long as Begovic makes 15 saves and Azpi scores a goal I'm not too fussed tbh

      What you say makes sense, but as a double Chelsea defence owner, I am going to blindly disagree with you and say that Chelsea will keep a clean sheet 😀

      Rather late and too much Single malt on board ( mindless addict) to really dig the detail but I have to admire your detail.

      However given your analysis buying at 2.00-2.1 looks very sound investment.

      1-0 Chelsea, probably an Oscar free kick or something goofy. Costa will get a YC, as it is away and especially because it is Stoke

    Anyone else considering Walters for the 5th mid slot?

    With squad rotation over the next few, it seems like a necessary upgrade from the cheapies.

    He rotates perfectly with Siggy and seems to be somewhat fixture proof over the last few weeks.

    Baines, Siggy > O'Shea, Cazorla no hits?

      Would Cazorla 100% start? He's been their best player in the last 2 games. AW might want him fresh for West Ham

        I'll be stunned if he drops Cazorla. He's not played that much this season, not nearly as much as Sanchez.

    Current DF:

    Baines - Clyne - Naylor- Yun - Moore

    Good enough to start the first three this week, I feel.

    I plan for Baines -> Zab next gameweek. But Yun's injury caused me zero backup in case Zab doesn't play. Looking elsewhere and then .. Skrtel?

    Charlie Austin is third in the golden boot. 1 of Costa.

    I have money to upgrade my mid. So, I am doing Catermole to Mid of 10.0m£.

    I was thinking either Sterling or Cazorla? What do you think for the next 3-4 gws (until WC).

    Front 8 would be :

    Ameobi - Downing - Haz - Yaya - Sterling/Cazorla/???
    Bony - Austin - Rooney

    PS : it would be for a hit.

    What do you think?

    Going to see how Costa plays tomorrow but...

    1) Giroud, Baines or
    2) Costa, Skrtel

    Need to upgrade a defender to someone who plays but which is the best option?

    2FTs

    1.
    Downing-------->Adam Johnson
    Bartley----------->4.1 Def (Blackett, Richards (Swa), Moore, Bruce)

    2.
    Downing------->Walters
    Bartley------->4.9 Def (N Taylor, Dann, Hutton, Vergini, O'Shea, Tomkins etc.)

    3.
    Downing----->Milner
    Bartley------> Toure (Liv) (Already got Yaya)

    4.
    Downing----->Ki
    Bartley------->Debuchy

    5.Wait & See

    Front 8 is currently:

    Downing, Yaya, Sanchez, Boyd, Hazard
    Costa, Benteke, RVP

    Any ideas what to do with this lot? 2 FT, £0 ITB...

    DDG - Elliot
    Baines - Naylor - Bruce - Wisdom - Hutton
    Siggy - Sanchez - Yaya - Hazard - Fer
    Austin - Bony - Rooney

    Getting a bit frustrated by Rooney in midfield and also looking to get rid of Baines and Siggy
    Any suggestions appreciated 🙂

    Cazorla won't be rotated against QPR.

    As usual, Arsenal don't have enough fit options.

      He'll play for sure, but is it worth bringing him in when hes on 4 yellows, and also has a couple of tough away games coming up too?
