Petr Cech has been ruled out of action for three to four weeks with a knee injury.

Andre Villas-Boas today confirmed his number one keeper will be unavailable for selection until the end of September:

“Petr Cech yesterday suffered a medial ligament injury and will be out for three to four weeks. It was the end of training, a normal training incident. He fell awkwardly with his weight on top of him. We expected much worse when we saw the incident.”

This should see him miss a run of fixtures that reads (WBA, NOR, sun, mun, SWA). Immediately this brings Hilario and Ross Turnbull into the equation. Hilario was on the bench for the game at Stoke last weekend and, of the two, looks likely to get the nod.

Both come in at 4.5 and with those next two home games in particular catching the eye, some Fantasy managers may be willing to turn their back on nailed-on, pricier options such as John Terry and Ashley Cole and take a punt- Chelsea are strong favourites to pick up clean sheets in both fixtures.

Cech will now be removed from the Watchlist in due course.

Paul Is certain he won't make the same mistakes next season. Follow them on Twitter

Is Hilario that bad to make it a risk having A.Cole? If he is it makes it easy for me to change him for Baines.

Cech was rarely threatened against Stoke, if Chelsea play like they did against Stoke and keep possession of the ball it will be hard for WBA/Norwich to score.

Cech's not injured...they just got him in a clinic to pump his body full of adamantium so we can play a formation of 0-4-6...which is why we have so many strikers...he'll be back after the international break.

Or perhaps downgrade Huth to Bosingwa/Smalling/Jags and upgrade Tiote to Moses. Either way - get Moses in your team!

Also, maybe consider switching Taarabt to Sess? I reckon he a good shout as he's MID playing as a FWD

CArdiff manager referred to them as 'this season's swansea' . We are starting to dream of the premiership.

Its down largely to Poyet. For years I've watched Brighton to see a long ball from defence piled up to a little striker like Leon Knight.

Then Poyet came in and he basically turned them into a la liga side. Gk - def, to mid....keep possession, win back quickly if lost, lots of passing up to striker and goal. Weirdly hardly anyone played like that in league 1 last year. Glad the beautiful game is working at the next level.

The massive new stadium helps. First proper ground for years and means the likes of CMSmith prefer brighton to the likes of West Ham, who were also sniffing around him.

it was dire there wasn't it. I still have nightmares of watching Brighton v Rochdale in the driving October rain. Think it was 4-3, couldn't tell my eyes were stinging from the rain.

I used to have school sports day at the withdean...the worst ground in the league by miles.

Right! Ive decided to go for Given as my Cech replacement but also replace my back up GK to Krul, Used the money to get Baines over A.cole aswell

So my team now looks like this with £1million in the kitty left over!

    Given (Krul)

    Shawcross Baines(VC) Enrique (De Laet,Simpson)

    N'Zogbia Toure Osman Moses (Hoolahan)

    Torres(C) Bent Suarez

I think that looks pretty decent even if quite weak in midfield?

Hmm. Can anyone remember how many times last season torres was "bound to start scoring soon" because it was a "matter of time" and thus he was a "huge differential"?

I think it was quite a few. I might hold off on him for now, even if it does mean missing some "guaranteed" points.

He's a perfect place holder for a few weeks until Aguero gets starts, and there aren't many viable alternatives in Chelsea's attack for their upcoming nice fixtures.

Plus he did look good vs Stoke.

6.0 midfielders are more interesting than I thought.

Brunt, Jarvis, O'Hara, Sinclair. There are some really good options there.

All three teams (West Brom, Wolves, Swansea) have nice fixtures. Thinking Brunt actually. He has the best FPL history, and after this week (play Dyer instead), he looks like a great choice for the coming weeks.

Then again if West Brom show more fight than 1st gear Stoke then he could even sneak a consolation goal or assist with Cech in the clinic getting his body filled with adamantium.
