Petr Cech has been ruled out of action for three to four weeks with a knee injury.

Andre Villas-Boas today confirmed his number one keeper will be unavailable for selection until the end of September:

“Petr Cech yesterday suffered a medial ligament injury and will be out for three to four weeks. It was the end of training, a normal training incident. He fell awkwardly with his weight on top of him. We expected much worse when we saw the incident.”

This should see him miss a run of fixtures that reads (WBA, NOR, sun, mun, SWA). Immediately this brings Hilario and Ross Turnbull into the equation. Hilario was on the bench for the game at Stoke last weekend and, of the two, looks likely to get the nod.

Both come in at 4.5 and with those next two home games in particular catching the eye, some Fantasy managers may be willing to turn their back on nailed-on, pricier options such as John Terry and Ashley Cole and take a punt- Chelsea are strong favourites to pick up clean sheets in both fixtures.

Cech will now be removed from the Watchlist in due course.

Paul Is certain he won't make the same mistakes next season. Follow them on Twitter

Anyone noticing that Walters for Stoke is classed as a MF but played last GW as a forward. With most of Stoke's strikers out with injury he is expected to start up front again against Norwich away? Good punt for 6million perhaps?? Any opinions

Anyways RMT gor this GW please

First. Aguero 'might' be better longterm, but too much uncertainty over him now imo.

Thank you, I was wondering when you'd post it. Was checking out the website the other day. Fantasy wise, do you think Saha could tear shit up?

Yes, lots of space for baines out there - I fancy him to get a decent score this week. Saha is worth putting in for next 4 games - 3 home (qpr, wigan, villa) and away at bburn. Cahill usually starts season well also

How fit is Saha exactly? He's always worth it if you know he'll play. My worry is he'll get crocked and there aren't great alternatives at his price. Currently have 3 big strikers, considering downgrading one of them to Saha. What about Osman then?

Surely Odemwingie is the perfect replacement when Saha gets injured. That is my plan anyway.

was gonna say odemwingie myself....osman is a good option - i think he'll start wide left but in a 4-2-3-1 with license to roam behind striker so close to goal. Top player imo.

    Quick question:

    a. Lampard, Rooney, Senderos
    or
    b. Young, Torres, Cole A

Only have Baines out those teams in question. Personally leaning on option A.

Is it now worth Buying Hilario for given and bringing in an A villa defencer instead of a chelsea pne . Same coverage but cheaper price

Onlt downside is will have to waste a transfer on keeper down the track
