As if out of sympathy for the Fantasy Premier League, or podcast recording software crashed at the death this week. Finished. Kaput.

Panic ensued – hands on head there were cries of “I can’t go through that again” from host Mark as I desperately attempted to recover our lost words. Luckily, temporary files restored, our fifty fourth episode was rescued and rebuilt like Ledley King’s knee. Hopefully it won’t collapse again next week – like Ledley King’s knee.

Within it you’ll find unusually muted tones as Mark and I dissect the events or rather “non-events” of the weekend. Frustrations vented, this week’s broadcast picks up to its usual pace and departs on an optimistic note.

Listen in and share our pain.

If you haven't heard QPR have a new owner and will probably buy some new players! So soon Taarabt could be good choice.

    Do you agree?

Probably not actually, I think his main appeal is that he's the #1 guy and everything goes through him in matches.

I'd say no as Alex played well last week IMO and reckon he'll keep his place. After being solid buy not managing to break through Stoke's defence, I reckon the attacking full backs in Bosingwa and Cole will start on either side of defence too.

Other than Cech being out I assume the defence will remain the same.

*Nathan* Dyer was handy on Monday rasher. I know they lost by 4, but I think they had more possession overall, and that could be a telling factor against teh bottom clubs. Augustien looked good too I thought (4.5 also). Finally (!) - Reo Coker gives away a few cards but is a solid footballer (albeit not necessarily in the points for fantasy footy)... but could be worth a punt (4.5 too).

Quite a few people saying Aguero might be rested. After a performance like that, won't he be first name on the teamsheet. Are Adam Johnson or Balotelli really going to start ahead of him? I know he's had copa america etc. but he looks fit and raring to go. Wouldn't Mancini be mad to bench him?

He hadn't even broken sweat! What is difficult to judge is whether Mancini saying he isn't even fit yet is to send shivers down Fergie's spine or a genuine point that he might need to be rested.

Everton are due a decent start to a season. Any one of about 8 or 9 different forwards could tear it up this week and score a hat trick. Carroll is one of them I would reckon, certainly not guaranteed but then it doesn't seem too guaranteed that any of the "big" forwards will do anything, least not until one of them hits a hot run of form.

Both, but who wants to pick a Chelsea player just now? Torres hasn't done anything of note since before the world cup. Drogba will be either on the bench or in the huff cos he thought he was getting benched, Lamps costs 12 mil, Malouda costs 10.5, I've stuck Alex in, maybe it should be Bos. And does Cole have as much freedom to get down and attacking? I don't think so.

Would seriously consider Bos over Alex. Also, Larsson could be a sneaky play for the fixture. You have to like Chelski's next 3 fixtures....see you on the flip side...

Would appreciate any of you fine gents having a look. Had a good week last week on 67 which put me on top on my mini L but the league manager who is on 50 wants to start from week two - bollocks of a man that he is.

    Given – Vorm

Kompany – Cole – Hughes (simpson – Brown)

Malouda – Zog – Silva – Moses (Tiote)

Gibbs ruled out of the Liverpool game with a Hamstring strain. Djourou has a chance of playing, whilst Rosicky and Traore are both doubts.

Down to the bare bones. If Rosicky doesn't make it im not sure who will play, maybe Landsbury! We need Denilson back, you know times are bad when you say that.

I was at the game the other night. Bare bones indeed. Jenkinson looked like Bambi on ice. Gervinho was awful, exactly the kind of signing we didn't need. Only really decent players on the pitch were Sagna, Vermaelen and, at times, Walcott.

Yeah im not sold on Gervinho either. To be fair to Jenkinson he is predominantly right footed and was playing LB. Can't believe how many players we have injured/suspended already!

I'm being a bit harsh - Gibbs looked good going forward, I love Ramsey but he can't yet boss a midfield, and I do have faith in Szczesny. But to get absolutely dominated in possession in the second half was the most worrying thing, we just looked so flimsy.

Fair point on Jenkinson. Maybe it's a bit early to judge but I can't ever see him oozing defensive class. One judgement I am very willing to make is that Gervinho is terrible. No vision. No idea what to do when he gets in the box. He's going to be such a frustrating player.

Walcott was getting up lots but he missed a couple of decent chances.

Gervinho didn't give a hoot about the game it seemed.

Still, transfer window remains open and Wenger's disposable income is massive. Fingers crossed.

He could play Oxbow-lake as the AM. Would be a seious batispm of fire but if Wenger keeps buying players without pubes, that's what happens!

              Oxlade Frimpong Ramsey

              Walcott Rvp Arshavin

              Could work.

Could do. Arshavin will be key in this game, say what you will about his laziness, he is effective and other then RVP, he is usually our most likely player to score/assist

2 – more balance, better midfield

is the A Johnson Andrew Johnson of Fulham? (as opposed to Adam Johnson at Man City); Andrew Johnson is a gutsy pick--if healthy, he can score some goals, injuries have slowed him though and he might not be guaranteed starts (Zamora will start, A. Johnson might be in competition with Dembele for playing time)
