As for C, I think I'm set on getting one playing keeper to save funds. Currently trying to decide between Panti and Forster.
Yea I've been in that camp all season really. Had Krul + Elliot though which failed spectacularly when, just as happened with the Boruc + K.Davis Southampton combo last season, both keepers decided to get injured at the same time. What can you do? 😛

I have Puncheon as part of an extended list of options to replace Downing. Others being: Moses, Larsson, A. Johnson & Sessegnon

Someone pls tell me up can overcome a deficit of 100 points . My points are 52 decent for this gw but my rival nailed with 73 Costa captain.
100 points is nothing at this point. But you need right captain choices from now on. I was able to catch about150 points within 10 GW or so in 2013 to Win my mini league.
A few seasons ago I was 100 points behind in my ML at Christmas and came back to win it. Pretty comfortably I think. A lot of it is nailing your captain choice but you need a solid team to offset when you pick the same captain as your opponent.
This is where a high team value comes in handy.
My closest ML rival has caught up 72 points on me just in the past 5 GWs based on captaincy alone!
Giroud (C) for -4 points and other such blunders haven't helped 😛
I was 130 points back last year when that crazy weather week happened before the holidays. Starting on a run and ended up about 20 points ahead of mini-league at the end. double game weeks and not being afraid to take hits to have a different team made the difference.
Totally agree on hits. There's a lot of talk on here about avoiding hits at all costs, but I had a few -8's last year that more than paid for themselves. If you have an obvious problem in your team, don't wait to address it, fix it and move on.

Thank God I did not sold Costa to get Kun but Giroud. But I was lucky Downing and Aguero in for Silva and Giroud. So not that hurt and still having Aguero.

I traded Costa for Aguero last week. To fund the switch I also brought in Ings (4 point hit). Of course, the Ings trade would have been ok - except that it meant that I benched Eriksen. All of this the week after I left Kane on the bench. Ouch.Think you will find many licking wounds on here this week. Such a shame its two weeks until the next game, gonna be staring at my poor score for so much longer than usual

Yeah can't see really any unless people put players they knew who were going to be out in their lineup just to be silly as I have seen people do before to get points off the bench. Like starting Yun or something like that.
