This evening, we roll out the semi-final draw of the Fantasy Football Scout Cup X, as sponsored by Paddy Power, and take a look back at the key events during the quarterfinals.

With a score of 62 bobbyg emerged as the top scoring manager during the quarter-finals, which took place during Gameweek 22. He easily saw off round seven’s top scorer 66irons  to progress and earn himself £25 worth of free Paddy Power bets.

His opponent in the semi-finals will be CMIFLFC , who beat  Wolverine in the quarter-finals. CMIFLC, who has an overall rank of 5,439, has activated his wildcard this week while bobbyg, who is ranked 663rd in the overall rankings, still has his to play.

The other semi-final will feature Momalpashands, who beat mjfdept in the quarterfinals, and Harts Hotspurs, the conqueror of United Nations. This will be something of a David and Goliath clash as, with a rank of 555th in the FPL game, Momalpashands is the competition’s highest placed manager, while Harts Hotspurs is the lowest, with a rank of 297,029. Both have yet to play their wildcard. Key differences in their current teams are Harts Hotspurs’s faith in Sergio Aguero and Branislav Ivanovic, while Momalpashands will be hoping Diego Costa and Cesc Fabregas will score well enough to see him through.

The full list of quarter final results can be found here, while the semi-final draw in full can be found here.

Good luck to all four managers left in the competition. In the meantime, though, if you’re looking for more information on the Scout Cup schedule and prizes available, click this link for a more thorough rundown.

SV of Kane is 5.3 and I might ship him to Austin on my WC

Had Austin and Kane but got rid of Austin. Might get rid of Kane too for Sakho.

Could be an easy switch to Sakho when their fixtures improve. And gives time to see if Kane is still playing in midfield. May just bench against WBA with good bench cover like punch as a fifth mid

    Begovic Foster

Terry Fonte Wisdom Van Aanholt Duff

    Sanchez Hazard Henderson Downing Boyd

    Aguero Costa Kane

    - Courtois & Koscielny or Terry & Begovic (Gives me ARS defensive cover)
    - Hazard & Sanchez or Oscar & Sterling
    - Punt on someone other then Henderson, A.Johnson?

So lets pretend Costa doesnt get banned and you dont currently own him. Would you get him in next gamesweek for a hit?

Not worth a hit but definitely get him the week after if he's fit/available

He is a must, he is owned by 60%!!

When he inevitably gets suspended you can swap to Sturridge/Falcao

1 more 😛 - So it looks like Defoe will replace Giacherrini in the Sunderland line up or do we think Giacherrini could hold his place with Defoe being eased in/fitted in elsewhere?

of course he can but we're talking about the guy that is lucky to not have been sent off already a few times this season and has 8 yellow cards..

I'm going to err towards dirty POS especially when you look at the Skrtel one and then starting a fight with Gerrard in ET..

reputation might be his downfall in the proceeding

      A) Play Krul (hull) and PvA (BUR)

      B) Play Panti and PvA (both BUR)

      C) Play Panti (BUR) and Wisdom (TOT)

Not sure about a sunderland double up this week, I think Burnley can knick a goal and Newcastle have a good fixture at strikerless Hull.

Yeah it was a pretty baffling decision by BR to leave him on the bench. The game was screaming out for fresh legs in midfield and they could have used another creative player. Lallana should've been introduced somewhere around the 75' for me.

Yeah I just don't have any faith in Phil Jones whatsoever. I quite dislike him actually, so may be personal bias there. Seems like starting JWP while benching Downing sometimes will be okay while Saints midfield still unfit and JWP seems to have a secure starting spot in the near term. I also quite like Wollscheid...he's a giant and I can see him getting a couple of goals.

Thanks bud. I don't get to see many games so all my decisions are based off FPL points and who says what on here. So thanks again.

Team may change dramatically if Costa sits out a couple of games.

Harsh. Sans Aguero was always the plan. Defense was set. It was just two midfield spots and one striker spot really. Now I need an Ivory Coast loss in the worst way.

Falcao on me radar. Still don't want Aguero. He's quite a distance from being fit.

Difficult to imgine Costa not picking up a ninth yellow against City, should he be allowed to play, they bound to wind him up

He's an idiot, just as I said at the beginning of the season. He should really be thanking his lucky stars. No idea why the FA have gone so easy on him to date. Surely have to take a stand now.

Hope they do. He deserves it, and will make WC selections easier

Tenth yellow is a problem for another day. Will just roll with him and re-evaluate come GW27. Simple. So, so easy to transfer him out whenever.

Yep, the only player you cant afford with Costa's money is Aguero, and everyone should have Aguero by now anyway.

Wouldn't he just become Sturridge for most of his owners when he gets his tenth yellow?

      Behold the power of 3-5-2

      Pantilimon
      Ivan Kosc Wisdom
      Sanchez Hazard Sterling Oscar Mane
      Aguero Giroud

      Hamer Baird Ayoze Wasilewski

I guess....but having Baird and Wasilewski seems like a disaster waiting to happen on that bench.

Can downgrade Sterling to Eriksen to free up a penny or two, but yes, it is quite thin back there.

I'm cheering a Costa ban just to laugh at people who went without him on WC then restructured their team already this week to get him. So basically I am a complete b@stard

But most of those that restructured still have an active wildcard anyway, would have been better if it happened in the city match

All those hat wildcarded the week before, and were sh1tting themselves that they would have to restructure have had a massive escape, as they now dont need to, Had Costs kept scoring they were done for. As usual their bad play will be rewarded

Hey Deadzoners, I've got two presents for you. Firstly my fixture tracker:

I've made a comprehensive fixture tracker that tracks all fixtures for Premier League teams including Cup games and European Games.

      The Benefits:
+ Potential Double Gameweeks are marked.
+ Potential Blank Gameweeks are marked.
+ Matchdays (Sat/Sun/Mon) are shown, which is very useful for Ultimate FPL.
+ You can see which teams have important midweek games that may cause them to rest players or be tired the following weekend.

Here's a quick guide to reading the spreadsheet:
+ Blue columns - Premier League fixture
+ Other column - Other fixtures
+ Cell with red outline - Fixture in danger of being rescheduled.
+ Dark blue cell - Chance of fixture in danger being played at this time.

Nothing yet but surely it will be addressed in Mou's presser later on in the week. Didn't look like anything too serious by my eye I'd imagine at most a couple of weeks out.
