Alexis Sanchez is available for Arsenal’s home match with Leicester. Cesc Fabregas could return for Chelsea tomorrow evening. Raheem Sterling and Philippe Coutinho are expected to recover from knocks in time for Liverpool’s clash with Spurs tonight, whilst Adam Johnson is now fully fit for Sunderland.

Alexis Sanchez “will be back in the group†to face Leicester this evening, Arsene Wenger has confirmed. Arsenal remain without Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain, whilst Jack Wilshere is expected to return to training at some point this week.

Jose Mourinho has revealed that Cesc Fabregas could return for Chelsea’s home clash with Everton after he chose to protect the Spaniard’s hamstring by resting him away to Villa last weekend.

Raheem Sterling (foot) and Philippe Coutinho (knee) are both expected to recover in time for Tottenham’s visit, whilst Brendan Rodgers is optimistic on Adam Lallana’s chances of recovering from a groin complaint. The Reds were dealt a blow, though, after Lucas was ruled out with the thigh injury that forced him off early on at Goodison on Saturday.

Yaya Toure and Wilfried Bony will miss City’s trip to Stoke tomorrow evening. The duo will travel to Ivory Coast to celebrate their victory over Ghana in Sunday’s Africa Cup of Nations final.

Adam Johnson has been deemed fully fit by Gus Poyet, after only making the bench last weekend as a result of minor thumb surgery. Connor Wickham has recovered from injury, though Emmanuele Giaccherini and Jack Rodwell are doubtful for the home clash against QPR. Billy Jones is available again after missing out through injury at the weekend.

QPR caretaker boss Chris Ramsey has confirmed Rio Ferdinand and Bobby Zamora will start against the Black Cats, with the likes of Richard Dunne, Nedum Onouha and Charlie Austin all ruled out through injury. Ramsey also revealed Mauro Zarate is in contention to be named in the first XI.

Wayne Routledge has returned to full training for Swansea after recovering from a calf complaint, whilst Modou Barrow is expected to shrug off a knee knock in time to face West Brom tomorrow.

All this and more has now been updated in the Team News section ahead of this evening’s 7.30pm deadline. Keep an eye on our official Twitter Stream as breaking news unfolds.

I'm still undecided. It may be a player I bring in with Defoe, Ozil or Sanchez all in the frame depending on team sheets. I may also decide to play it safe and go for Hazard...and then there's my Gwk 23 captaincy hero Cazorla. Probably the most open gameweek captaincy wise for a long time - there will be a lot of movement in mini leagues I think.

He's an option, but you'd have to have very little faith in Arsenal or Chelsea to pick a sunderland defender over them.

I don't think I've ever captained a defender, not even peak Baines. You're asking a lot from him there, one goal against, which takes a second, ruins it all.

Subject to the Arsenal lineup, Walcott. Own Sanchez as well but a little edgy about the prospect of captaining him when he wasn't even on the bench 3 days ago and a Walcott(c) haul would do wonders for my rank.

I've got wisdom and am watching carefully to see if he needs to be ditched. As you've got a fair amount of cash in the bank and only 2 players missing the blank GW27 you could ditch him for ivanovic/terry....

I don't have Sanchez or Giroud that are topping teh Captains Poll and unlike last week where 75% plus were going for Aguero, the vote is more evenly split beyond the top 2. Hence I'm tempted to Captain Ozil or Sturridge for a big differential.

Sanchez is a better go forward option.

Caz rest signals start of rotation and end of his run, i plan to lose him for eriksen dgw28 anyway.

Giroud is a donkey, i plan to shift for costa by chelsea dgw

Delighted I sold him for Cazorla, and I still have the funds to bring him back.

The minute I saw Sanchez was out for a second week running I knew it was a good decision to sell him, the only negative to it was losing 0.2 in value (big deal) and using 2 free transfers that I guarantee would not have otherwise earned me the 30 or so points that Cazorla has earned me!

    Good evening guys!

I'm struggeling with some decisions here, and would appreciate some advice. 🙂

    My current team:

    Panti (qpr H)

    Terry (eve H) \ Clyne (whm H) \ Kosc (Lei H) \

    Hazard \ Silva \ Di Maria \ Puncheon \

    Aguero \ Giroud \ Kane

Bench: PVA (qpr H) \ Wisdom (swa H), Lucas

    ITB: 1.6 m
    FT: 1

First of all, who should i start with? Bench Terry and double up on sunderland defence? Play with 4 at the back, bench puncheon? Or just start with those i have above?

Is it worth doing Silva-> sanchez and kosc-> Bellerin (-4)
    I 'm 0.1 m away from a straight swap silva->sanchez....

  20. The Gambler.
    • 16 Years

    Krul, Pantimillon
    Terry, Jones, Koscielny, Wisdom, PVA
    Hazard, ADM, Cazorla, Oscar, Puncheon
    Aguero, Giroud, Kane

If Sanchez starts and Cazorla doesnt:-

Oscar and Cazorla > Sanchez and Mane (for a hit)

If Sanchez starts along with Cazorla:-

    Save FT

    Seem logical?

  21. johnbarnes

    Who to start?
    A) PVA
    B) Bellerin

    Team is
    Foster
    JT-Clyne-X
    Silva-Sterling-Cazorla(c)-Hazard (vc)
    Kane-Kun-Giroud

    Myhill; Downing, X, Wisdom

Also, if anyone could tell me who to captain...that'd be great. Or I'll just do my version of the coin toss, which is just picking the top point scorer on RMT

I know this could potentially spark a riot BUT... I am tempted to bring Defoe into my squad for Aguero.

I think Defoe is starting to hit form (albeit begrudgingly as I'm a toon fan) and his upcoming two fixtures look very promising. The obvious thing to do would be to swap him in for Kane but with Harry in such a vein of form and with having him since he was £5.5m I don't want to ship him out.

    De Gea
    PvA Clyne Bellerin
    Silva Erikson Hazard Cazorla
    Aguero Kane Giroud (c)

    Bench: Krul Demichelis Walters Haidara

£0.3 in the bank and yet to make a transfer. I'll end up saving the FT no doubt but the Defoe option is intriguing and possibly under the radar. Or maybe I'm just crazy.

Who to bench among this lot?

    Terry, PvA, Bellerin, Clichy, Wasil.

Right now have Clichy and Wasil on the bench.

    Thanks in advance.
