Having delivered 131 points in the Fantasy Premier League (FPL) game last time around, hopes were high for Jason Puncheon’s prospects as the new season got underway. The Palace winger quickly found his form and served up a goal and three assists in the opening six matches under Neil Warnock to suggest he could be worthy of our attentions once again.

As the Eagles started to struggle, Puncheon fell completely off our radars on the back of 14 successive blanks which saw his price slip down to 5.5 by the time Alan Pardew rolled up in Gameweek 21. Under the new manager, it’s been a different story altogether – two goals, four assists and eight bonus points has earned him 46 points in eight appearances, compared to 47 points in the first 20 rounds of matches.

With Palace poised to host QPR, West Brom and Hull in the next six, in addition to travelling to Stoke and Sunderland, expectations are building for Puncheon to maintain his recent momentum over the final three months of the campaign. We cast an eye over his displays across both periods and assess his contribution against other midfielders to ascertain his impact since Pardew took the Selhurst Park helm.

Paul Is certain he won't make the same mistakes next season. Follow them on Twitter

Wow. That Suits season finale was too predictable for my liking.
    No cliffhangers either.

My thoughts exactly, it seemed so rushed. The way they got the baddie was so ridiculously simple, didn't seem much like a season finale at all. My fav episode of the season has got to be the one where there were the flashbacks of Harvey and Louis back in the day with Hardman

Yeah they did not transition the last episode and the season finale well together. It was really random. Not really built well.

One of my favorite season finales is where Mike and Harvey reach that disconnect. Or that episode where Louis goes crazy.

        Mike/Rachel are too static.

The law is less involved now.

Donna/Harvey are like a junior high relationship.

They literally killed Norma off for Donna to slip in. Who writes this stuff?

So true, all the other season finales involved a longer build-up so it actually felt like a season finale. Mike proposing after getting off work was extremely random as well, I highly doubt anyone was touched by the moment.. just came out of nowhere.

Disappointing that Jessica had no role to play in the finale as well, I would've expected Harvey to go to her for advice on how to catch the big bad wolf. Can't believe the whole episode purely consisted of her drinking away her sorrows..

            Yeah the message was like

"screw your career, get married younger!"

And the fact there were no plot twists or anything keeping you wonder for next season is disappointing. Still. I will watch it.

I like Harvey's character and want to see if he opens up.
They need to mess up Rachel and Mike again for the drama purposes.

I thought Katrina and Mike together could of made the show interesting since Rachel and Mike hate her.

Yep it's been a solid 4 seasons, will still be somewhat excited to see what happens next season. Probably something to do with Harvey and Louis fighting over Donna.

Such a shame they spent a whole episode opening up Harvey and then they knock him down again in the last scene.

Where'd Katrina end up anyway? Zane?

Yeah I think she's at Zane right now.

Not disappointed overall with the show but just the season finale.

They might even start a Louis/Donna relationship which is strange but nobody would see that coming.

Then they can start the downfall of Harvey...

It's getting progressively worse. For a legal drama, there's not much law anymore. And when there is it's very basic law.

Only show I've ever seen that I'm rarely disappointed with is Game of Thrones. Breaking Bad was well written but it wasn't satisfying seeing a sad episode then going to sleep after haha.

Donna (red head) is my favorite. Great character too.

I'm assuming you're talking about Rachel the brunette? I liked her at first but she gets really whiny as the show progresses. She's a pretty (pun intended) boring character.

A genius ends up in one of the top New York law firms after circumstances during a drug deal bring him there.

The lawyer who hires him is cocky while Mike (the drug dealer) and him share good banter.

The characters really keep the show together.

Great! This is one of the more highly rated law dramas. The season finale may have not been the greatest but I still enjoy it. Decent drama, decent amount of law but the best part is the comedy.

"...he's probably going to get the two yellows before the DGW which will waste another transfer..."

This is typical of the lazy assumptions that are sometimes circulated on here - a bit like a newspaper repeating a story from another newspaper that was wrong in the first place.

Costa has 4 games to play before the ceiling goes up from 10 to 15 yellow cards. He will know where he stands and that he can't afford to pick up 2 yellows in those 4 games. And he hasn't picked up a yellow card in his last 8 PL games.

Fabregas can only get 1 more yellow before a 2 game ban is triggered but I don't see many saying the same about him.

    Clichy* - Alderwederetheharold - Zumba - Belerina - Adhesive
    Sanchez - Hazard - Coutinho - Mane - Word-Process
    Aguero - Studgemeister - Kun

Alright DZ, in a bit of a pickle here. Not sure what to do with my FT's as Clichy is penned to start now as he's suspended for the Barcelona game, and the Burney match looks ripe for returns. May be costly to get rid of him now as any replacement will likely be benched, aso can only afford Naughton if if I want to upgrade a defender to Ivan next week. Any insight appreciated here, cheers.

It's not so much that he's too template, it's that I'm not confident on his future returns, I still doubt him. But aye, if he scores again, I'll likely do those very moves you pointed out Badge, thanks for the advice bud.

I see, I understand. If I was in your position, and looking for differentials I'd probably look a tone of Cout/Mane tbh. I think those are the best midfield differentials right now if you want get a foothold right now, few have pool attack in the top 1000 mate. Maybe after the Leicester game, you could take Erik out if you're feeling froggy.

In the back, if you don't want to take the risks in the front seven, guess upgrade Vert yo Ivan for a quality differential . Nearly everyone up there owns Terry, and one goal or assist from Ivan can make a decent enough boost up the ranks. Double Chelsea backline isn't too bad either.

If you're feeling even froggier, maybe you should look at downgrading all three of Vert, Erik, and Bert ---> Ivan, Cout, and Toby, to subsequently upgrade Giroud to Costa/Sturridge?

    Aguero - Kane (BobbyZ)

      1. Shifty

        10 years, 9 months ago

I think BigBudgie (if not on WC) should stick to a double up in def for Chelsea personally - IF liverpool have a DGW34.

Highly unlikely to be able to afford Kun Sturridge and Costa in GW34. One has to go. Wouldn't double up on mids and given Chelsea's fixtures for the double, a defensive double up seems to guarantee some good points.

Counting on Sigurdsson being back in the template as we move closer to GW34 and people try to think of how to fit Sturridge/Costa in with Kane and Aguero.

Pointless dropping Kane at this point of the season since he enables so much funds eleswhere.

Ever since I left my job, my FPL performances have improved. Coincidence? Probably not.

I wrote this piece the other day - http://thepublicapology.net/2015/03/unemployment-has-made-me-really-good-at-fantasy-football/ - and subsequently took a dip in the rankings. Jinxed myself.

    Can anyone spot the changes?
