When we start seeing template teams, sometimes it can be the only real differentiator or tactic to close a gap availablebut if its mainly luck, then its not fair

Can't agree: the only time a (c) choice is "playing safe" is when everyone is picking the same one. This week there was no "safe" choice--there were just choices.

my suggestion would be captains score is based on overall team performance, so would reward consistently good picks and team management.... reduce the luck factor
I've made some shocking captain choices this year. It's taken me longer most weeks to decide the (c) choice than any other decision. Just go with your gut. Don't get swayed by posters on here as you end up going with the crowd and not necessarily making a rational choice. At least if you go with your gut you'll have made the decision for the right reason.

i was too late with the 42sFwiw, I have been miserable with (c) choices this season, yet I like it. It causes a kind of volatility I like in the game. I get that some of it is luck, but I remember a lot of times when I felt my pick was really smart (and conversely times when I thought I had been stupid). What I mean is that there is some skill mixed with the luck, and it makes it possible to make a high-impact decision in any given week.

I imagine you'd like something along the lines of being able to split the captaincy across multiple players? E.g. Have two players earn x1.5 if you choose to instead of one player earning x2.actually this might be better...........vc could earn points too....... maybe not allowed to vc same team or same position.....

Gibbs red was transferred to Ox who then had it turned over because Hazard's shot was off target. This is will transfer and then be upheld
Hasn't been the case before because in the AOC/Gibbs case the shot (that was hand balled) was off target so by definition couldn't have been denying a goal. While in the Brown/O'Shea incident more recently the 'right' player didn't touch him, so was successfully appealed.
For today, the incident is not in question. Definite DOGSO (unless covering defender is argued), so the ban would transfer directly and Dawson will miss GW31. All depends on the appeal.

Siggy, slightly worse form, has the best fixtures (HUL, EVE, lei, new)
I think any of those are decent options for a 4th mid, a lot depends on whether you have a WC and when you want to play it tbh, could cripple you getting in a blanker (Cout) now.Manè based on those fixture Zasa, it's just Soton have forgot how to score beyond 2/3 goals, bringing the appeal of Clyne/Bertie to the fore.
