The line may have been drawn under Gameweek 11 but with the First Round of the Fantasy Football Scout Paddy Power Cup VII also kicking off last weekend, we take a look at the results from the 512 ties over Saturday and Sunday.

As many as 14 matches finished all square – the winners went through on rank and are denoted by an asterix – while plenty of big names have barged their way into the Second Round. Those include Mark and Granville, who won their ties 69-56 and 66-46 respectively.

Scout League leader and overall number one Iyad Zahlan cruised through – his side Giavara555 flexed their muscles with a 65-36 victory last weekend, though defending champion mch made an early exit – his side were downed 63-54 by Limbo.

      When he picks up his ban then yeah, probably. I'm in no rush to swap for Nolan given their comparative fixtures and unless I find money to upgrade him to Silva then he'll get a stay of execution in my team.

      I'm more worried about Swansea's poor attack as a whole than his individual threat.

      On the subject of Baines, he is essentially an extra midfielder, on penalties, with clean sheets as a bonus. The only midfielders who have outscored him so far are Hazard, Fellaini, Mata, Nolan, Michu and Bale. Only two of those are available cheaper.

      If he stops picking up random bonus points and goes on an extended run without attacking points then I might consider dumping when his fixtures turn, but for now I can't see him leaving any time soon. Apart from anything else he's a handy differential in my league.

          Possibly, Yes. Have a look at how Sunderland do at Fulham, they were creating chances against Everton and Fletcher could have scored. He also had one disallowed the game before. Couple that with the start he made (and his record for Wolves) and the fact he's been sold by so many and he could be a nice option in the coming weeks. I wouldn't be in any rush to get Giroud for an extra 1.5

    Is there actually any footballing purpose to international friendlies apart from in the immediate run up to a tournament? Half the players drop out so it offers nothing to the cohesiveness of a team. There's plenty of club football to assess a player's ability and, since they're usually more concerned about not getting injured than proving themselves, it's barely a legitimate indicator of anything.

    It's for money and that's it - no wonder nobody seems to take them seriously.

    Our data is provided to us by the Press Association and we base our data on their statistics however we have specifically reviewed both of these goals/assists and believe that Crouch did very slightly touch the ball and the shot of Hernandez was just going wide.

    Is it worth using a free to do Hazard to Mata? I'm not sure, I think over the course of the season, they'll score pretty evenly, unlike the Pienaar/Fellaini battle, in which it's clear who the better option is

        Yes, but will he be in the future? That's the important question. After 3/4 weeks, Mata was discarded by everyone and Hazard was flavour of the month. It could surely swing back again?

      I agree that they'll score around the same over the season; up to the january WC i'm not so sure. I'm using my 2FT this week to do Hazard > Mata, Pienaar > Fellaini. If nothing else, Hazard > Mata frees up some cash.

        That's true. It just feels so sideways and kind of a waste of a FT. If I was on a WC I'd switch but I might leave it, even if only for a week, to help me make up my mind.

    1. Hba to silva
    2. Hba to Fellaini
    3. Hba and michu to Fellaini and walcott

    Only problem is I can see the Walcott trannny ending in tears.

      HBA is only 1.7 cheaper than Silva 😯 Shite fixtures for Silva, though, I'd leave him for now.

    So next week I was planning on doing Clyne/Demel to Cuellar but thinking it might be better to do Jassk to Mignolet and save a few bob. Whatja reckon? Would have Demel then for any more jammy WH cleanies.

      They aint that jammy solid at the back when their games plans on. Id keep Jussi imo. I have Demel too so I can rotate keepers and still have wham in the pack.

    Would you get rid of Ba for Suarez for a free transfer or roll it over and have two FTs next week? I also have Michu and Fellaini so bringing Suarez in gives me three on he suspension tightrope but Ba's form isn't great.
